| Dr Amen: Raising Mentally Strong Kids | 20 Mar 2024 | 01:06:24 | |
For the first time ever, The Lautners welcome back a past guest, Dr. Amen, for another conversation on mental wellness, this time for children. Whether you’re a parent, want to be a parent, or have no desire to be a parent, Dr. Amen offers insight into relationships and development that we’re certain you can apply to your life in some way. Dr. Amen explains why he wanted to write a book with Dr. Charles Fay and tackle what is missing from most parenting books—brain health! He explains the importance of special time, active listening, and letting children make affordable mistakes. There is undeniably a youth mental health crisis, and Dr. Amen hopes that by offering a “parenting manual” that encourages firm, kind parenting, children will have a better chance at mental strength from the very start.
Be sure to follow Dr. Amen @doc_amen and pre-order his new book, Raising Mentally Strong Kids: How to Combine the Power of Neuroscience with Love and Logic to Grow Confident, Kind, Responsible, and Resilient Children and Young Adults

TW: emotional abuse
At only 22 years old, Olympian, World and Pan Am’s Champion Jordan Chiles has a lifetime of stories to tell. She joins the Lautners to discuss all that goes into becoming an athlete of her caliber, growing up the youngest of 5, and her far-from-traditional childhood as she progressed rapidly through her sport. | Makena and Jacob: The Sibling Episode | 17 Jan 2024 | 01:08:29 | |
This week’s episode of Squeezon 2 (shoutout to Boy Tay for that pun) features two highly requested guests who also happen to be family; Makena Moore (formerly Lautner) and her husband Jacob Moore! We’ve heard the story of how Tay & Taylor came to be from their own perspective, but what does their matchmaker Makena recall from the early days of their relationship? And, what made her believe her new friend Tay would be a potential match for her brother? She’s answering these questions and sharing what went down behind the scenes. While Makena and Taylor clearly have a close sibling bond, that doesn’t mean that Taylor’s fame was easy to navigate for his younger sister. Makena opens up about the not-so-shiny parts of having a famous brother and how his success has affected her own identity. Jake and Makena also open up about their very own love story and their baby boy Breckon who has forever altered their lives (and their aunt and uncle’s lives!). Parenthood changes things (to say the least), and Makena and Jake open up about Makena’s postpartum depression and why she’s decided to change the way mamas look for answers to their many questions. There are plenty of laughs and also some tears as these four let the Lemon Drops into the intimate inner workings of their family.

| Alec Benjamin: I Just Want To Be Understood | 13 Dec 2023 | 00:55:59 | |
Tay & Taylor have been long-time fans of today’s guest, so they’re excited to hear from the musician himself as he opens up about his mental health, his songwriting process, and his daily life with OCD and ADHD. Alec Benjamin didn’t find music until high school, but once he did his life was forever changed. He shares several stories of how he first discovered that his brain worked a little differently and how as a result, trying to fit into the system that society has setup has not come easy. Once he learned to open up through his music, a whole new set of mental health struggles came about: navigating life on tour, dealing with immediate audience feedback, and constantly facing the pressure of success. The Lautners and Alec talk about how exercise and therapy are two tools that they all turn to in order to manage their mental health. Plus, the Lautners hear how OCD affects Alec’s day to day, the surprising cover song you won’t be able to find online, and how he came up with his new song: I Sent My Therapist To Therapy.
Be sure to follow @alecbenjamin and check out the music video for I Sent My Therapist To Therapy

| Georgia Hassarati: I’m Not This Person | 25 Oct 2023 | 01:11:57 | |
Our next guest has spent far too much time defending her character, so The Lautners wanted to give her time to show the world who she is, independent of all the noise. In this interview Georgia Hassarati opens up about things she’s never discussed publicly, including what it was like being raised by a single mother with bipolar disorder. She also discusses her career as a midwife; something not many people know about but is a huge passion of hers. She speaks about her experience being cast on Too Hot to Handle, going back to midwifery after wrapping the show, then being launched into the chaos that ensued following her second reality TV appearance on Perfect Match. She shares the boundaries and steps she took to manage her mental health that got her through these experiences and the frenzy of false accusations. Lastly, she offers an update on her dating life and what you can expect to see from her next.

| Victor and Libby Boyce: Remembering Cameron and Epilepsy Awareness | 27 Sep 2023 | 01:01:33 | |
This week the Lautners have the honor of sitting down with Victor and Libby Boyce, parents of child star Cameron Boyce, who passed away in 2019 from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). They offer an inside look at the incredible life Cameron led and the legacy he left behind. They explain how and when epilepsy became part of their lives and how Cameron wasn’t considered epileptic until his second seizure. This is one of their many frustrations with the medical system, which failed to arm them. Their main message in coming on the podcast today is to take an epilepsy diagnosis seriously. There is a lack of information about epilepsy, despite there being so many different types and it being one of the most common neurological conditions. They were never even informed of SUDEP, the complication that took their son’s life. They talk about The Cameron Boyce Foundation, with the mission of raising awareness of epilepsy, discuss their grieving process, share what the outpouring of love has felt like, and offer advice on what to say to someone who has lost a loved one.
Cameron lives on through his sister, parents, friends, and The Cameron Boyce Foundation. We urge other people of influence to speak out if they suffer from epilepsy, and encourage you to check out the foundation to learn more about the disorder: www.thecameronboycefoundation.org

He speaks to the psychological toll of being released from the hospital free of cancer and being unsure how to process what you’ve just been through, as well as feeling like he wasn’t allowed to be sad. Harry also lost his father at 23, and shares how, while he embraced death for himself, he wasn’t prepared for it to happen to someone else. Lastly, he talks about the inspiration and mission for his charity, Hey, I’m Here For You, which helps enhance the lives of teens and young adults undergoing cancer treatment.

The Taylor Lautners are back for another jam-packed solo episode, kicking off with a Twilight-era Cit-rus Got Real about fish eyes (long story, stay tuned). Taylor takes a moment to talk about Tay’s "Jimmy Darts" moment this week, which then leads your hosts to talk about the importance of gratitude. Tay opens up about her first EMDR session and the realization that she hasn’t yet processed what she went through in 2020. They also dive into your Tea Time with Tay questions, where they discuss their experience being long-distance, balancing quality and personal time together, and where they would go if they knew they wouldn’t be recognized. Lastly, they share what they’re most proud of one another for doing, one of which resulted in a $50,000 donation from Celsius to The Lemons Foundation... Thank you so much, Celsius!

| Tay & Tay Lautner: Find Your Happy Place | 23 Aug 2023 | 00:51:45 | |
We heard you loud and clear Lemon Drops, so we’re bringing you more solo episodes! This week your hosts sit back, relax, and enjoy some tea time with Tay(s). They cover everything (and we mean everything) from friendship bracelets to ferocious turtles. Before they dive into all your questions, they also take a moment to talk about the importance of self-care and the scope of what that really means. It’s not always a spa day—it means truly caring for yourself, even if sometimes, that means having an uncomfortable conversation. Tay opens up about a new self-care strategy from her EMDR therapist, and a moment of insecurity she had at the Eras Tour and how she talked herself through it. Then they answer your burning questions, including which songs from 1989 (Taylor’s Version) they’re most excited for, which The Summer I Turned Pretty boy they’re rooting for, and a funny memory of the two of them that takes them back all the way to their 6-month anniversary. We hope you enjoy this peek at a day with the Lautners!
