The Pal's X Graham Scott Fleming Episode 222

While beginning to craft his unique sound in the country genre, Graham found an incredible career in Broadway, landing the lead role of Charlie in “Kinky Boots,” and working directly with Cindy Lauper. He soon moved to NYC to fully emerge himself in his broadway career, which led to an international tour with “Hair” and performing at the Tony Awards. Growing up in Elmvale, ON, Graham would have no idea when he won a local singing contest in high school that music and performance would become such an internal part of his life. Following his Broadway run, Graham returned home in 2020 and continued to pursue a solo career in the genre that raised him. After earning a Top 40 single at country radio as an independent artist with the release of “Better Man,” he signed a record deal with Open Road Recordings and RGK Entertainment in 2022. Having written with some of Canada’s most promising songwriters such as Robyn Ottolini, Lydia Sutherland, and Vanessa Marie Carter, and opening for Canadian country legacy acts such as High Valley, Deric Ruttan, and Aaron Pritchett, Graham’s music has received major play listing placements such as Apple Music's Country Risers, Canada’s Country, Trailblazers, and Country Wide, Amazon Music's Country Hits and Just North of Nashville, YouTube Music's Country Now and Canadian Country Moment and Spotify's Fresh Finds Country. With an education and background in Business, Marketing, and Communications, Nasso enjoys applying theory to create strategic processes to operate events efficiently and effectively.   Matthew Dubois, better known by his stage name 12AM, is an emerging rhythmic pop singer based in Toronto. Armed with a never-ending pen, the talented singer-songwriter made waves in late 2021 with his genre-bending EP, After Midnight. The project featured notable tracks “Voices” boasting 7 million streams and “come over”, which premiered on Travis Mills’ Apple Music 1 radio show. Both tracks added to 12AM’s arsenal of 35 million global streams and counting. Sit down and enjoy as Your Pal Rick chats with Stanley Cup Champion and recently retired NHLer Devante Smith-Pelly. “Devo” was a 2nd round pick to the Ducks in 2010 and has played for 4 different NHL teams including the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions the Washington Capitals, in which he scored one of the most memorable playoffs goals in recent history. We chatted about his career, winning the cup, playing with superstars such as Ovechkin and Selanne and what he’s been up to since announcing his retirement last year.

Welcome back to Episode 217 of The Pal’s Podcast.

This week we had electronic music duo Young Bombs in the studio. Comprised of DJ/Producers Tristan Norton and Martin Kottmeier, Young Bombs began in 2014 primarily making remixes most notably for The Chainsmokers, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and many more. They began their rise to fame in 2017 when they played major music festivals such as; Lollapalooza, Firefly Music Festival, Life is Beautiful, Ultra and many more. In 2020 they released their debut EP “The Young Bombs Show” and in 2021 they received a Juno Award nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year.

Recently in April of 2023, they released their new single “Bad” and the remix which is coming out April 21st.
