Stepping Up To The Mirror02 Apr 202100:24:04

“...how can you expect to build a life that you feel proud of, how can you expect to leave a legacy without taking responsibility for where you are.  You are not a victim.  You were not born a victim, the things that are happening externally to you are not happening to you.” - Kelsea Koenreich

Today’s episode is a personal one.

You are going to hear a story from my past, where I was faced with two choices, either 1) keep doing what I was doing or 2) to accept responsibility for my choices and take steps to move forward.

It was in this moment, where I chose to take radical responsibility for my choices and to where it led me that day - in a medical unit of my county jail, my third arrest.

Yes, that was me and I’m grateful to have this story included in my history.

And in this episode, I share with you through my own challenges and resilience, how I chose to accept responsibility for the path I was on, the choices I made and the steps I took in finding purpose and fulfillment in my life.

You’ll hear me ask you to NOT wait until you hit rock bottom (like me) or until you are miserable to take action or ask for help.

You might feel stuck right now or not know what your purpose is or what your next steps are and that’s ok.  That’s what my 1:1 in my coaching program is all about, working together, navigating through those challenges.

There is only one spot remaining for my 1:1 coaching this quarter.

Send me a DM to see if this is a good fit for you.

[01:26] Kelsea’s story - March 2010

[06:53] “Everything that I’ve created in my life was started by that moment” - taking radical responsibility

[09:50] The shifts and the changes that have happened in my business are the shifts and changes that happen within me

[11:35] Where you are is because of you

[12:07] There is no change without acceptance

[14:31] “I invite you today no matter where you are in your life to go to a mirror and meet yourself eye to eye”

Not Bad Isn't Good Enough26 Mar 202100:21:22

“The place that gets you where you want to go is taking ownership and stepping up and not letting yourself be limited by where you are, who you’re with or anything.” - Kelsea Koenreich

“It’s not that bad.”

You’ve probably heard that before and probably said it yourself as well.

You’ve been in a job, relationship, or a situation where you’ve felt stuck, believing there was no way out, settling and telling yourself this is good enough.

You are better than that.  You are worthy and deserving of MORE.

And in this episode, Kelsea shares how it isn’t acceptable that we tell ourselves that good enough is ok.  She further explains how there is always something, at least one step we can take to move forward, that we always have a choice to make changes.

You are not a victim, you have a choice.  You are MUCH MORE. Don’t be satisfied with good enough in life.

So, if you’re ready to take charge of your life, get UNSTUCK, and live more fulfilled, let’s make that shift together and join my Passionate Power Masterclass

This Masterclass is designed to help you find your purpose, ignite your passion and create the life you want from right where you are.

[10:29] Victim mentality

[12:06] Be honest about the victim mentality if that is where you are at

[15:16] Recognize how deserving you are

Episode #32 - Letting Go of Things That Hold You Back23 Jul 202000:36:06

In life, there are experiences, things, people, and places that impact us. A lot of times we’re not even aware of what those things are, but continue to be influenced by them. In this episode of the Bravehearted Podcast, we take turns asking each other about situations that impacted our lives and how we have learned to let go of those things that have held us back in the past.

We discuss childhood trauma and how it has a major effect on self-worth and self-belief. Unresolved trauma can manifest in many negative ways later in life. These roots of pain can easily grow and overtake our life creating body issues, how we relate to those around us, and even impact our work life.

Letting go of shame, poor choices, or a hard past can be a difficult process. It often takes proactive work and dedication. We both have experienced and believe in the power of therapy and coaching - this is why we are so passionate about what we do!

When feeling held back it is important to pause, take a moment of reflection, and understand why we make the decisions that we’re making or we feel the way that we feel. Acknowledgment is only once piece of the puzzle! You need tools and resources that will equip you to break free of whatever it is that has you all tangled up.

We recommend several tools to use in this podcast including Therapy, coaching, finding good friends that will give you sound advice, and journaling. You don’t have to be a victim anymore. You can live a free, fulfilled, and brave life!

Still unsure where to start or how to make these changes in your life? Contact us! We always love hearing from you and are ready to help you out.

Making Your Own Rules For Happiness18 Mar 202100:25:32

“We have the choice as to what we choose to put in our lives.” - Kelsea Koenreich

Have you always followed rules or do you break them?

Did you ever wonder why you had to do things a certain way?

I’m right there with you. I was brought up to follow the path laid before me, to stay in my lane and do things a certain way.

Where’s the fun in that? I’m sure you can guess how well that went for this rule-breaker!

And in today’s episode, we’re diving into;

  • Creating your own rules
  • How your choices give you freedom
  • Connecting with yourself leads into knowing what you want

You are where you are suppose to be, not where someone else has told you to be.  Even if that means you broke a few rules here and there 😉

That is why I’m asking you today, the rule breaker, are you ready to take your success to the next level?

Say YES to more fulfillment in your life and get FIRED UP!

The Fired Up Freedom program gives you actionable steps and mindset shifts bringing you new-found excitement in building the life you desire.

[16:38.5] Experience will be more valuable than education. (There’s balance here)

Episode #31 - Accepting People As They Are16 Jul 202000:40:09

People have many opinions and tend to have strong emotional attachments to those opinions due to their life experiences. Navigating through different perspectives of those around us can seem like you’re making your way through a minefield and feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be that way!

In this episode of The Bravehearted Podcast, we are breaking down accepting people as they are without violating ourselves in the process. We discuss how important it is to understand that acceptance does not mean that you're accepting defeat. It also does not mean you’re allowing something that contradicts your beliefs into your life. But rather, acceptance is seeking to understand and exercise empathy in the midst of a disagreement.

We also talk about how a lack of acceptance comes from not being accepting of yourself and how to peel back the layers of personal resentment and begin practicing self-acceptance.

After listening to this episode you will understand how to accept people as they are, be able to communicate effectively with the intention to build understanding and make more room for empathy in your life.

It’s our goal to empower you to live bravely and give you actionable tools to do that in a practical way. If you find that you are in need of continuing this conversation or further support, feel free to message us on Instagram!

When does fear come up the most for you?  Do you notice it when you start something new or do something uncomfortable for the first time? Does your fear tell you things like; “no one will like this, this isn’t going to work, this won’t be successful”?

Yep, I feel it too.

You’re not alone! Everyone feels fear. No matter where someone is in their life or who they are, they have felt fear.

Fear is scary. Fear is the unknown. Fear is what’s holding you back.

In today’s episode, we tackle:

  • The other F word, Fear
  • Recognizing it and being aware of how its holding you back
  • Facing your fears
  • Actionable steps to banish and get rid of your fears

When you STOP focusing on what the end results may be and START focusing on the journey, you CAN overcome those fears.

See the fear and do it anyways.

And you need help working through that, I’m here.  Send me a DM and let’s chat about how I can help you work through your fear.

TIMESTAMPS:

[01:19] How to handle the fear that comes up so you can actually go after your goals and dreams.

[03:50] One of the biggest things holding people back is fear or even how (how will I actually get there, who am I to create that and do that).

[05:10] Zooming out of the fear - The alternative to not creating something is that somebody suffers.

[09:35] Two different stories about fear.

[12:49] How much of where you are is fear holding you back.

[18:39] There’s a lot of mindset drama.

How Hustling is Holding You Back05 Feb 202100:32:33

"There has to be balance with the rest and recovery and fun and play in order to actually make us better business women.” - Kelsea Koenreich

Newsflash: Your hustle is not serving you or the people around you, it's working against you.

In this episode we take a deep dive into why hustling backfires.  How it can leave you;

  • Feeling burnt out
  • Paralyzed by overwhelm
  • Not showing up in your work
  • Making more mistakes

Our society and culture has glorified hustling, connecting it to how successful you can be.  That in order to have success or be successful, you have to run yourself into the ground.  The belief that you will only be rewarded when you work your ass off.

FALSE!

When you reach that place of burnout, you are putting your needs to the side, you are not living up to your true success and you can’t serve others the you really want.

And if the way you’re working right now isn’t sustainable long-term, it will show up in other areas of your life…your relationships, your work and financially.

I worked HARD to shift my mindset away from the hustle culture and what society wants us to believe to be successful.  With the lessons I’ve learned, I’m excited to share those with you in my 3-day Money Masterclass 💰

In three days, you’ll come away with how to have more financial freedom and how to earn more money to get all the opportunities you desire.

Join me as we shift our money mindsets and make life changing transformations!

Expanding to Stop Boxing Yourself In22 Jan 202100:24:25

“What if I told you that the way to be taken care of, and to live a life of abundance and have financial success was actually to change your mindset.” - Kelsea Koenreich

If I were to ask you today, what do you want to do? What do you actually enjoy doing?

Are any of those things what you currently do?  If not, then you need to reconsider what you’re doing.

I’ve been there myself, stuck in a fixed mindset with a job where I felt safe because it's what I knew, it felt stable. I was believing a story about why I needed to work.

I was trading my time for money.  I was only driven by my responsibilities and was not fulfilled.

The truth is, you don’t have to stay in positions or jobs where you run on autopilot.  You don’t need to work just to pay bills. You can be fulfilled BY expanding and not boxing yourself in.

Because the life you want to live is right outside that expansion.

There’s power in recognizing that you are meant for more, that you can make an impact and that you have a purpose.

I’m done wasting my time trying to fit into one category and I hope you are too!  Let’s work together on expanding ourselves by recognizing our worth, following our desires and doing more of the things we love.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • To think outside of the box you’ve put yourself in
  • How changing your mindset allows you freedom to play
  • By creating new stories, you can let go of the old ones

I would love for you to take a screenshot, share this with the people you love or on your social media, so they can hear it too, because each of us there's so much space for all of us to expand.

Following Through With Your Intentions15 Jan 202100:23:54

“Make sure you’re looking for opportunity rather than falling victim to another day” -Kelsea Koenreich

If you think about your goals, what’s driving you?
Are your goals for yourself? Or someone else?
What are you searching for in the new year?

Anytime that I have tried to shift away from my authentic self, I have felt miserable. When I’ve questioned myself or tried to do what others around me were doing, I failed miserably all because I wasn’t being me.

If we are only doing what other people want and not serving ourselves, we will become burnt out and unable to take care of ourselves and those we love.

If this has been the cycle you’re stuck in, don’t worry, I’m here to help! When you have your own goals and intentions, things can change for you.  In order to dominate your goals, you need to make sure they align with who you want to become.

Ask yourself, am I worth showing up for?

Today I encourage you to do more of what makes you happy. Your subconscious may tell you you’re not worth it, but you are meant to move mountains and leave a legacy!  Let's work together on recreating your thought process and design your dream life.

In this episode you will learn:

  • That doing more of what YOU want to do can lead you to your dreams

Episode #22 - How To Be Kind to Yourself14 May 202000:47:22

How do you speak to yourself?

Have you ever noticed that you say things to yourself that you would never say to anyone else? You’ve likely made comments about your appearance or your intelligence at some point.

You say things to yourself like “I’m so stupid”, “I messed everything up”, or “I’m so fat/skinny” and speak to yourself so harshly without batting an eye. At some point in time all of us can raise our hand and say yes, we have.

In episode 22 of The Bravehearted Podcast, we are talking about compassion, and not in the way that you continue to give it to everyone else - but how to give it to yourself.

Self compassion is a learned skill, it is the desire to help ease your own suffering. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is how we rebound from those mistakes that shapes us as humans. By giving ourselves more compassion it enables us to be more compassionate to others and makes us more emotionally resilient.

By the end of this episode you will feel empowered to treat yourself with grace and compassion, regardless of your situation. You will have tools to walk through that negative self-talk and be more accepting of yourself, even when you are not sitting exactly where you expect yourself to be.

The Secret Sauce to Getting the Change You Want in 202108 Jan 202100:23:52

“The growth and success you want is on the other side of your internal change.”  -Kelsea Koenreich

Welcome to 2021!

Reflecting on 2020, what growth and lessons did you learn?
Moving forward in 2021, what new changes and habits would you like to build?
What beliefs do you have surrounding your future success?

2020 was a year of rawness for a lot of us.

The distractions and busyness of life went away with the pandemic, forcing us to look at ourselves. I am so thankful for this past year because it ripped me apart, forcing me to do some deep, underlying work.

In order for you to show up and be present on a consistent basis, you need balance. Balance comes from doing the underlying work of learning to reflect, recover and grow.

I will be the first to tell you, this type of change is not easy but don’t worry, I’m here to help you!

You deserve to be committed to your own growth and self development. You deserve to have the life you dream of… and you can by doing the foundational, internal work.

[01:57] People chose to do 2 things in 2020. Some saw it as an opportunity or struggle.

[03:22] Despite the pandemic, 2021 can still be your year.

[04:24] The two things you need to create change and have growth are underlying work and physical action.

[06:06] What do we mean by underlying work & the importance of underlying work.

[08:47] Consistent action is important regardless who you are, what you do for work. We have to show up.

[10:45] Finding balance - time to play and create.

[13:14] So the physical action needs to be consistent and aligned.

[14:22] What worked, doing the internal work.

[14:43] Reflections on working with a coach. "She gives me what I need, not what I want".

[16:11] The change & the success you want in your life starts with you, it starts with the physical action of consistently showing up and the underlying work of you looking at yourself internally and asking "what do I need to change here..."

[17:45] So when you're searching for change or wondering how to grow, look within first.

[19:12] You can only take aligned physical action when you are aligned.

[20:12] Incredibly grateful for 2020.

Cross More Off Your To-Do List Without Doing More01 Jan 202101:00:27

“If you keep choosing the easy path, you will never get to the place you want to be.” -Kelsea Koenreich

Do you feel like asking for help shows weakness or lack of control?
Are you holding yourself back because you don’t have the confidence to speak up?
What do you have in your busy schedule that doesn’t need to be there or that you can hand off?

The first time I went to jail, I called my mom. She told me I got myself there, and I needed to figure out how to get out. That was so tough to hear. I reflect on that conversation now and think of how that phrase applies to my day-to-day life.

We live in a world that teaches us to detach and to live a fast-paced life.  It is common to ignore yourself and your needs, only to serve others. But this isn’t really living!

Imagine sitting and enjoying where you are and meeting your personal and business goals. Being connected to ourselves can be one of the most difficult things we can do.

I had to reframe my habits countless times and realize that white knuckling control was tearing me down. It’s  OKAY to let someone else help me, although I know they won’t do it exactly like me.

There is help in so many places, but it is your job to speak up! If we keep choosing the easy route in life, we will never get to the places we want to be.

I know what it feels like to be detached from EVERYTHING and like life is burning you.

However, I have learned it is possible to accomplish everything on your to-do list and still take care of yourself. Your life should not feel like you are going just from day to day - that is not living!

In this episode you will learn:

  • Why time management is crucial to your overall success
  • How to get out of your head and start truly living today.
  • The importance of organizing your life, routines, and schedules so you are not buried

You can break the cycle of being detached by starting with this and start with what you learn in this episode. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Episode #20 - Fear-Based Action and the Scarcity Mindset30 Apr 202000:39:02

How many times have you stopped yourself from taking a step because you feared that you wouldn’t be enough?

Do you make impulsive decisions out of fear?

Enter, the scarcity mindset.

In episode 20 of The Bravehearted Podcast we talk all about the fear of being inadequate. Scarcity is a feeling that drives you to make choices out of, or be paralyzed by, fear. Fear of disappointment, fear of missing out, or fear of not being enough are some of the most common you may be familiar with.

We will discuss exactly how this mindset manifests in your day to day life and why it is important to address. As always we walk you through how you can overcome this fear of not being enough.

By the end of episode 20 you will be able to recognize times in your life where scarcity has driven your choices. This awareness will give you clarity and the tools we provide will give you the confidence to overcome this reactive behavior. Our goal is to give you confidence in moving forward knowing you made choices from a place of fact, not fiction.

Why Setting Personal Goals Matters for Your Success24 Dec 202000:33:09

“ We have to make commitments to ourselves because we cannot succeed if we are alone, unfulfilled, and not pouring back into ourselves.” – Kelsea Koenreich

Do you have goals outside of your career?
Are you finding yourself running on autopilot and never fully not fully in the present?
Do you feel you’re living outside your true purpose and potential?

Once upon a time, I was addicted to the party lifestyle. When that way of life no longer served me, I moved on to being obsessed with fitness and nutrition.

Not too long after, my business became my next obsession and my attempt to feel fulfilled in life… but I was still empty.

After a lot of inner work, I finally realized my emptiness came from a lack of investment in myself. I wasn’t giving any thought or attention to my goals or desires and it was leaving me feeling hollow - something had to change.

While success looks different to all of us, goal setting remains to be a major part of its foundation. Setting goals outside of your work nurtures balance, purpose, and fulfillment in your everyday life.

If you notice you’re unhappy and unfulfilled in your life, despite your best efforts, then listen up because this episode is for you!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How to appreciate the success you’ve already achieved
  • The importance of having a clear goals and expectations
  • How to be uncomfortable while growing

The most productive self-development is born during struggles, so I encourage you to embrace your current struggle and reflect on your life goals.

Draw these goals out, and if you find you cannot reach these goals alone, it is OKAY to ask for help until you can.

Remember, you are deserving and can be successful and happy at the same time.

P.S. If you found value in this, I would absolutely love it if you would screenshot
this post and then tag me on Instagram so I know that you are listening.

Stop Trying to Prove Your Worth18 Dec 202000:35:07

"When you feel worthy, the outside is a representation of what's on the inside" - Kelsea Koenreich

Do you have a constant need for validation to feel worthy?
Are you disconnected from yourself and your desires?
Do you put other people's needs above your own?

If you struggle with self worth, you might notice that you tend to put yourself in a position where you feel needed, and trample your own needs in the process.

In the past, I put countless things above myself and what I needed. Now I have learned that I do not need to prove myself to anyone but me.

Think of the life you feel you deserve- practice these thoughts and they will become true:
Who sets the standards in your life?
Is it you or are you allowing it to be someone or something to influence your decisions?

In this episode you will learn:

  • How to build up your self-worth
  • Step back into decision-making mode for yourself
  • How to overcome expired belief systems

Through this podcast, you will learn to rebuild trust with yourself; to show up for yourself and to make your needs a priority.

Feeling worthy and valuable is required for Success. Let's do this together and end 2020 in the best way possible!

Episode #18 - Stop Being The YES Woman16 Apr 202000:45:34

Do you find yourself overwhelmed, exhausted and stretched too thin? Have you ever said yes to something and felt guilty later?

You can't be everything to everyone.

In Episode 18, we talk about being the yes woman or the “people pleaser” that you claim to be so often. We will help you connect the dots on why you say yes to everything and everyone and how that shows up in your relationships.

We dive into the two biggest reasons why people say yes instead of no, and what you can do to start being in charge of your life again.

After listening you will have a clear understanding of why being the yes woman works against you, and how taking care of you first benefits the people around you. As always we give you tools to help you understand if you truly have time for the projects you are saying yes to, as well as ways to help you say no when you need to.

You will be confident  after implementing these tools and have more time to dedicate yourself to things that are most important to you, as opposed to eighty things that you just said yes to.
