Stepping Up To The Mirror
Season 2 · Episode 33
vendredi 2 avril 2021 • Duration 24:04
“...how can you expect to build a life that you feel proud of, how can you expect to leave a legacy without taking responsibility for where you are. You are not a victim. You were not born a victim, the things that are happening externally to you are not happening to you.” - Kelsea Koenreich
Today’s episode is a personal one.
You are going to hear a story from my past, where I was faced with two choices, either 1) keep doing what I was doing or 2) to accept responsibility for my choices and take steps to move forward.
It was in this moment, where I chose to take radical responsibility for my choices and to where it led me that day - in a medical unit of my county jail, my third arrest.
Yes, that was me and I’m grateful to have this story included in my history.
And in this episode, I share with you through my own challenges and resilience, how I chose to accept responsibility for the path I was on, the choices I made and the steps I took in finding purpose and fulfillment in my life.
You’ll hear me ask you to NOT wait until you hit rock bottom (like me) or until you are miserable to take action or ask for help.
You might feel stuck right now or not know what your purpose is or what your next steps are and that’s ok. That’s what my 1:1 in my coaching program is all about, working together, navigating through those challenges.
There is only one spot remaining for my 1:1 coaching this quarter.
Send me a DM to see if this is a good fit for you.
[01:26] Kelsea’s story - March 2010
[06:53] “Everything that I’ve created in my life was started by that moment” - taking radical responsibility
[09:50] The shifts and the changes that have happened in my business are the shifts and changes that happen within me
[11:35] Where you are is because of you
[12:07] There is no change without acceptance
[14:31] “I invite you today no matter where you are in your life to go to a mirror and meet yourself eye to eye”

“It’s not that bad.”
You’ve probably heard that before and probably said it yourself as well.
You’ve been in a job, relationship, or a situation where you’ve felt stuck, believing there was no way out, settling and telling yourself this is good enough.
You are better than that. You are worthy and deserving of MORE.

You are not a victim, you have a choice. You are MUCH MORE. Don’t be satisfied with good enough in life.

Episode #32 - Letting Go of Things That Hold You Back
Season 1 · Episode 32
jeudi 23 juillet 2020 • Duration 36:06
In life, there are experiences, things, people, and places that impact us. A lot of times we’re not even aware of what those things are, but continue to be influenced by them. In this episode of the Bravehearted Podcast, we take turns asking each other about situations that impacted our lives and how we have learned to let go of those things that have held us back in the past.
We discuss childhood trauma and how it has a major effect on self-worth and self-belief. Unresolved trauma can manifest in many negative ways later in life. These roots of pain can easily grow and overtake our life creating body issues, how we relate to those around us, and even impact our work life.
Letting go of shame, poor choices, or a hard past can be a difficult process. It often takes proactive work and dedication. We both have experienced and believe in the power of therapy and coaching - this is why we are so passionate about what we do!
When feeling held back it is important to pause, take a moment of reflection, and understand why we make the decisions that we’re making or we feel the way that we feel. Acknowledgment is only once piece of the puzzle! You need tools and resources that will equip you to break free of whatever it is that has you all tangled up.
We recommend several tools to use in this podcast including Therapy, coaching, finding good friends that will give you sound advice, and journaling. You don’t have to be a victim anymore. You can live a free, fulfilled, and brave life!
Still unsure where to start or how to make these changes in your life? Contact us! We always love hearing from you and are ready to help you out.

Episode #31 - Accepting People As They Are
Season 1 · Episode 31
jeudi 16 juillet 2020 • Duration 40:09
People have many opinions and tend to have strong emotional attachments to those opinions due to their life experiences. Navigating through different perspectives of those around us can seem like you’re making your way through a minefield and feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be that way!
In this episode of The Bravehearted Podcast, we are breaking down accepting people as they are without violating ourselves in the process. We discuss how important it is to understand that acceptance does not mean that you're accepting defeat. It also does not mean you’re allowing something that contradicts your beliefs into your life. But rather, acceptance is seeking to understand and exercise empathy in the midst of a disagreement.
We also talk about how a lack of acceptance comes from not being accepting of yourself and how to peel back the layers of personal resentment and begin practicing self-acceptance.
After listening to this episode you will understand how to accept people as they are, be able to communicate effectively with the intention to build understanding and make more room for empathy in your life.
It’s our goal to empower you to live bravely and give you actionable tools to do that in a practical way. If you find that you are in need of continuing this conversation or further support, feel free to message us on Instagram!
