248. How Much I Made In One Crazy 24 Hour Marketing Experiment28 Jul 202600:21:03

At 8pm one night I got that look in my eyes. The one my husband knows means I'm about to ride the wild donkey.

By 4am I'd sent an email every hour, illustrated cartoons to go inside them, invented offers I'd never sold before, and slapped a 24-hour expiry on every single one. I also let people email me their OWN offers at their own price. Total made in that 24 hours: just over $42,000.

This episode is the full blow-by-blow. What I offered, what sold, what broke, and why I'd absolutely do it again.

Who this is for:

If you're a creative, neurodivergent business owner with twelve half-planned launches in your notebook and a nagging feeling that you need a proper strategy before you're allowed to sell anything, this one's for you. You don't need a funnel. You don't need a launch runway. You need permission to act on the wild idea while it's still hot.

Topics covered:

  • What "riding the wild donkey" actually means, and why people still talk about it 15 years on
  • The full list of offers I made (encouragograms, business audits, VIP days, 60% off Take Action Club)
  • Letting my audience make ME offers, and how I decided yes or no
  • Doing it all on PayPal links because setting up Kajabi properly would have killed the momentum
  • The Kajabi outage that hit in the final hours, and how we handled it
  • Why I don't track unsubscribes
  • Decision fatigue, an inbox stuck at 86 emails, and needing a team who can run with chaos
  • The full revenue breakdown
  • The one offer that surprised me enough that I'm making it permanent

Key insights

  • Speed is a feature. The idea arrived at 8pm and was live within the hour. Waiting would have flattened it.
  • "Basic bitch" your systems when the alternative is not launching. I lost the Kajabi analytics and gained $42,000.
  • A ticking 24-hour expiry does the persuading for you. No convincing required.
  • Inviting people to name their own offer and their own price removed the ick from both sides. Some got a yes, some got a counter-offer, some got a no, and everyone stayed friends.
  • Say no to discounting the thing that's already radically generous. The Academy stayed at full price all day.
  • Things break in every launch. The checkout went down. I laughed, extended the deadline, and gave anyone who emailed us a 24-hour extension.
  • Your team's tolerance for wild ideas is a hiring criteria, not a personality quirk. I've had assistants get cranky about unplanned launches. I need people who wake up delighted.
  • Watch what people get unreasonably excited about. The annual Take Action Club option lit people up so much it's becoming a permanent offer.
  • Fun is a business metric. Encouragograms recorded in the backyard and down by the river. Cat photos in the inbox. Offers to walk around an art gallery. That's the actual return.

247. Crystals, Spreadsheets & Fire Rituals: How I Run A Planning Retreat26 Jun 202600:44:46

Ever been told the only way to "fly at the pointy end of the plane" is to hustle 24/7, live away from home 340 days a year, and barely see your kids? Leonie's response: are you fu**ing stupid?

This week she pulls back the red velvet curtain on her quarterly planning retreat — the rituals, the lake ceremonies, the non-alcoholic botanical wine, and the exact process she runs to help women plan a whole quarter in a single day. And Tam shares what it was like for her to be in the receiving seat for it... and what changed for her business from doing it.

Who this is for: If you're a creative, healer, or coach who's so deep in the to-do list you can't see your own business clearly anymore — and you're craving strategy that doesn't smell like bro-marketing — this one's for you. Especially if you're neurodivergent, sensitive, and done with hustle culture telling you to JUST DO MORE! WORK MORE HOURS! HUSTLE HUSTLE!

Topics covered:

  • How Leonie structures a full-day quarterly planning retreat
  • Why reviewing last quarter matters more than vision-setting
  • Letting-go rituals, lake ceremonies, and celebration circles
  • Hot-seating: why other people see your business clearer than you do
  • The anti-patriarchal case against hustle culture
  • Choosing a venue by energy, nature, and grounding (not corporate boardrooms)
  • Introducing Content Blast — a month of content done in one day

Key insights:

  • There's gold to mine in what just happened — review before you plan, every time
  • Celebration shifts your identity: you plan the next quarter as someone who's already made miracles
  • Brainstorming for OTHER people's businesses builds the muscle to see your own clearly
  • Hustle's only answer is "more" — but we live in a finite world, and the "more" gets stolen from your kids, your body, your relationships
  • Most hustle bros have someone (usually a woman) holding everything else together
  • You can fly business class without burning your life to the ground
  • You don't have to use everything in the Academy — one thing makes your money back
  • The easiest business model on earth: serve, over-deliver, and people stay for decades

Notable quotes:

"I can fly at the pointy end of the plane, and I am away from my children zero days of the year." — Leonie

"Does he think that's a flex? Let me show you a fuc*ing flex." — Tam

"I just serve and over-deliver and make it so exceptional that people stay for years, decades. It's the easiest business model on earth." — Leonie

238. ADHD, Autism & Entrepreneurship: The Real Conversation From Someone Who's Already Done It!06 Mar 202600:26:23

This episode is for every creative, every weirdo, every beautifully-wired human who has ever sat with the quiet question: can someone like ME actually build a real business? If you're neurodivergent — diagnosed or just deeply suspicious — this episode is going to crack your heart wide open. In the very best way.

Can you really run a business if you're neurodivergent?

Not only can you — it's quite literally what your brain was built for. And I'm not just saying that to be nice. I have STATISTICS. (Of course I do. It's a hyperfixation. We love it here.)

In this episode, me and my dear biz bestie Tamara Protassow (diagnosed ADHD, extremely-probably-autistic, confirmed lover of plums stolen directly from passing trees get into the realest, most validating conversation about what it actually means to run a business with a neurodivergent brain.

I'm AuDHD — officially diagnosed with both autism and ADHD — and I've built a multi-million dollar business working 10 hours a week. So when people come to me and say 'but Leonie, you just don't UNDERSTAND, my brain makes everything so much harder'...

Darlingheart. I understand completely. And I'm here to tell you: harder in some ways, yes. But also? You are sitting on an absolute goldmine of a brain. Let's talk about it.

Topics Covered

  • The wild thing that happens to your ADHD symptoms in the 6 months after diagnosis (it's not what you think)

  • Why scrolling neurodivergent TikTok might actually be making your symptoms worse

  • How autism shows up completely differently in women — and why nobody told us this sooner

  • Treating your diagnosis as information, not a life sentence

  • The stats that made my jaw drop: 67% of Fortune 500 CEOs show symptoms of neurodivergence

  • People with ADHD are 400% more likely to be entrepreneurs — the ADHD brain IS the entrepreneur brain

  • 40% of self-made UK multi-millionaires are dyslexic. FORTY PERCENT.

  • Why neurodivergence is a genetic advantage that has literally kept humans fed and alive throughout history

  • The real accommodations toolkit that help

  • Where to go deeper: my ADHD & Autism Biz and Productivity Success Secrets workshop

💬 Notable Quotes

"Can you run a business if you're neurodivergent? Obviously fucking yes. That's actually what you're built for."

"The more I over-identify with the struggles, I am creating a whole identity around my limitations. And it's only such a small part of the puzzle."

"Would I want to be neurotypical? Fuck no. Do I think I would be more successful if I was? Fuck no. And the statistics back me up."

"It is the joy and the honour and the privilege of my lifetime to get to be Leonie. And that includes being neurodivergent."

"Our brains are f**king geniuses. We are innovators and creatives and we see where things can be better. We are born to do this."

    237. Chaos, Crying & Clarity: My Wildest Pre-Launch Week27 Feb 202600:57:03

Picture this: you've got a massive March launch planned, a to-do list longer than your unicorn tail, and then — you fall UP the stairs, your back seizes, your menstrual cycle murders your ADHD meds, and Mercury decides it's doing SOMETHING (retrograding? microwaving? who knows).

In this raw, funny, and deeply wise episode, Leonie Dawson shares EVERYTHING that went sideways in one wild pre-launch week — and the surprising toolkit that helped her claw her way back to clarity, momentum, and joy. From beef liver capsules to frankincense smoke bombs, from kinesiology to emergency osteopath appointments, this is what it ACTUALLY looks like behind the curtain of a successful launch.

Leonie also gets beautifully honest about the inner growth that launching demands — the fear, the freeze, the false belief that everyone else has it together while you're in chaos. Spoiler: they don't. And she proves it.

    Topics Covered

    • What really happens behind the scenes of a launch (the chaos no one shows you)

    • How Leonie's Backstage Pass program was born and why 111 people signed up at $111 (!!!)

    • Supplement timing hacks for neurodivergent brains and Metamucil as a supplement hack

    • Energy clearing practices: altar work, smudging with frankincense, myrrh & dragon's blood resin

    • Grounding practices before and after deep coaching calls

    • Kinesiology and energetic support during intense business seasons

    • Take Action Club + Grow Mastermind: what they are and how Backstage Pass works inside them

    • Even the most polished-looking launch has chaos behind the scenes. You are not an anomaly. Life happens to everyone.

    • Leonie reframes launching as spiritual and personal expansion — you come out the other side a bigger, wider, more capable version of yourself. Launching is a growth process, not just a sales strategy:

    • Pre-launch energy clearing is real work: Altar reset, saining, grounding before coaching calls — these are not woo-woo bonuses, they are essential maintenance for sensitive and creative entrepreneurs.

    • Backstage Pass shows you the REAL launch: Not the highlight reel — the broken guitar strings, the frozen moments, the daily revenue figures, and the real-time problem-solving that gets results anyway.

    • The months Leonie does structured planning are consistently her highest revenue months.

    Notable Quotes

"In every single person's launch, no matter how polished they look on the outside, life happens. Nothing goes to plan. You are not an anomaly."

"Launches grow you. They make you uncomfortable. They push you to your limits. You will lose your faith and your courage and your belief over and over again — and then find it again."

"Your bones are literally not aligned. There is no way your energy and spirit can be aligned when your bones aren't."

"I actually learned so much more about launching from Backstage Pass than any other launch program I'd ever purchased, including $2,000 masterclasses." — Backstage Pass Member

"Even when things get tricky and hard and stuck, I promise this is all part of the journey. Momentum can happen anyway." — Leonie Dawson

    236. We Time Travelled Live To Clear A Money Block - And It Worked!20 Feb 202601:20:25

What actually happens when you're doing all the marketing and nothing is landing? Is it your strategy... or is it something deeper?

In this raw, real, and out of the ordinary episode, Leonie Dawson does something she's never done publicly before — she takes co-host Tamara Protassow through a deep, live soul coaching session in real time, right here on the podcast. No edits. No script. Just pure intuitive magic.

Tamara is actively marketing a new six-month soul-led group container — something her community has literally asked for — and yet? Crickets. So instead of just tweaking her sales page, Leonie goes under the surface to find out what's really blocking the energy.

What unfolds is nothing short of spectacular. They move through inner child healing (hello, 13-year-old Tam who just wants to be in her library with snacks and zero responsibilities), energy rebalancing, ancestral timeline healing going ALL the way back to prehistoric times, a detour to Stalin's Russia, and a healing message courtesy of... Bad Bunny. (You read that right.)

This is soul coaching, energy clearing, business strategy and ancestral healing — woven together into one completely wild, deeply moving, and occasionally very funny journey.

And the update at the end? Well. Within 72 hours of the session, just at Leonie's predicted time, Tam received a VIP enrolment at $1,200. The inner work and the outer work, together? That's where the miracles live.

This episode is for you if:You're a creative, soul-led woman who's showing up, doing the marketing, and still feeling like something's blocked. If you've ever suspected the real issue isn't your strategy — it's the ancestral, energetic, or inner-child stuff underneath it — this episode is going to blow your mind wide open.

    🌿 Topics Covered:

    • What "soul coaching" actually looks like in practice (live and unfiltered!)
    • Why good marketing strategy sometimes isn't enough — and what to do instead
    • Inner child healing and how your younger selves can block your business growth
    • Ancestral timeline healing and clearing inherited "I can't get what I want" energy
    • How trauma in your lineage can show up as marketing blocks (including a journey to Stalin's Russia)
    • The difference between inner work AND outer work — and why you need both
    • The magic 72-hour window after energy healing
    • A surprise VIP enrollment that arrived right on schedule

    ✨ Key Insights:

    • Strategy alone won't fix an energy block. When you're doing all the right things and nothing's converting, it's time to look beneath the surface — at your inner selves, your nervous system, and your ancestral lines.
    • Your younger selves have veto power. Tam's 13-year-old self didn't want to do the "exposed, vulnerable" work of showing up differently. Giving her a safe sanctuary — without making her responsible — was the unlock.
    • You can't always change history, but you can change the story.
    • Inner work + outer work = miracles. Tam was already marketing consistently. The energetic clearing gave the outer work somewhere to land.

    138: 12 Months Without Social Media23 Feb 202200:21:42

In this episode, I’m sharing why I decided to quit social media—and how it’s been an absolute game-changer for my productivity, creativity, and joy. Now, don’t get me wrong, social media can be useful for businesses when it’s used strategically, but I reckon it shouldn’t take up more than 5-10% of your work time. I also talk about how to choose platforms that feel good for you and actually connect with your audience—no more forcing yourself to do stuff that feels like a chore.

I walk you through the basics of a smart social media strategy: set clear goals, create content that matters, and track what’s working. But here’s the real truth bomb: your email list is where the magic happens. You own that list, unlike social media followers, so use it to convert your audience into loyal customers. I also share how I set boundaries, deal with trolls, and explore other ways to market without relying on social media at all. It’s time to get intentional, reclaim your time, and make space for what really matters!

    The breakdown:

    • Leonie Dawson's Reflections on Quitting Social Media
    • Quitting social media
    • The Dangers of Social Media Marketing
    • Effects of social media on mental health
    • Impact of quitting social media on business

    235. Ancient Wisdom for the Chronically Overwhelmed, Exhausted & Heartbroken16 Feb 202601:29:31

What if the chaos you're feeling isn't a sign you're failing — but a call to come home to yourself?

In this deeply moving episode, Leonie Dawson invites you into Day 1 of her transformational 2026 Dream Quest. This isn't your typical goal-setting workshop. This is soul work for creative, neurodivergent entrepreneurs who are ready to reclaim their joy, power, and dreams in a world that feels overwhelming.

Leonie shares the profound "terrarium analogy" — a framework for understanding how to create the perfect conditions for your dreams to flourish. She walks you through what truly needs to be in your energetic container for the year ahead, and what needs to be lovingly released.

You'll discover how to protect your inner world while navigating external chaos, why your nervous system is the most important business tool you have, and how to soften into loveliness even when everything feels hard.

Drawing on ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience, Leonie weaves together stories of her three wise elders, the strength of your ancestors, and practical spiritual tools to help you craft 2026 as your most powerful year yet.

This episode is medicine for overwhelmed hearts and overstimulated nervous systems. It's permission to slow down, to tend to yourself first, and to build your life and business from a place of deep knowing rather than constant doing.

Ready to dive deeper? Join Leonie's Academy for the full 3-day Dream Quest experience and ongoing support for creative entrepreneurs.

    What we cover:

    • Your terrarium matters more than your to-do list — The conditions you create around your dreams determine whether they flourish or wither. What's in your energetic environment?
    • You come from an unbroken line of survivors — Your ancestors survived famines, wars, ice ages, and climate change. Their strength, innovation, and courage live in your bones.
    • Nobody can steal your joy — External chaos doesn't get to determine your internal state. You have sovereignty over your one precious life.
    • Nervous system first, strategy second — When your nervous system is dysregulated, no amount of planning will help. Tend to your inner world first.
    • Soften into loveliness, not hardness — The most resilient people don't become jaded by hardship — they become more receptive to beauty, gratitude, and love.
    • This is soul work, not surface work — Real transformation happens when you weave intuition and spirituality back into your practical plans.
    • Permission to release what's not yours — You don't have to carry the weight of the world. Focus on what's actually in your terrarium.
    • Beauty and awe are revolutionary acts — Like Aunt Lucy seeing the mountains for the 90th year with fresh wonder, staying open to beauty is a form of resistance.
    • Your one precious life is non-negotiable — No external circumstance gets to diminish your life force or derail your dreams from their rightful place.
    • Coming home to yourself is the work — In a world pulling you in a thousand directions, centering in your deepest knowing is the most radical thing you can do.

    Who this episode is for

This episode is for creative women entrepreneurs, neurodivergent business owners, spiritual seekers, and heart-centered humans who are tired of surface-level success strategies and ready for deep, transformational soul work that actually honours how you're wired.

    234. I'm Dropping My Prices 80% (And Here's Why)13 Feb 202600:54:48

What happens when you combine unicorns, price drops that go the opposite direction, and a business model that prioritizes joy over formulas? This episode is packed with juicy announcements about the future of my academy—and trust me, you're going to want to hear every single detail.

I'm joined by my brilliant accountability coach and podcast co-host, Tamara Protassow, as we talk through the biggest changes I've made to my business in years. And spoiler alert: they're all designed to be win-win-wins for everyone involved.

    Topics Covered:

    • Why I'm rebranding to the Unicorn Biz & Life Academy
    • The radical price drop from $495 to $99/year (yes, really)
    • How current members are being taken care of with credits and reduced rates
    • Two new membership tiers: Take Action Club & Grow Mastermind
    • How healing my primitive reflexes expanded my capacity for intensive coaching
    • Why I'm not worried about industry changes (and why you shouldn't be either)
    • The power of accountability channels and weekly productivity sessions

    Key Insights:

    • Accessibility over exclusivity: Dropping prices can create a bigger, more powerful community of action-takers riding toward their dreams together
    • Change is constant: The online business industry has been shifting since 2008—adaptability matters more than reacting to every headline
    • Nervous system capacity is expandable: Resolving primitive reflexes can dramatically increase your executive function and energy for business
    • Strategy + intuition = transformation: The most powerful coaching combines practical business strategy with deep energetic and spiritual clearing
    • Productivity isn't about doing more: It's about doing the important work that actually moves your business forward
    • No lock-in required: Flexible membership options mean you can get the support you need when you need it
    • Your business can be uniquely yours: Formulaic approaches are boring—building a unicorn business means doing it your way with joy and renegade energy

    Who This Podcast Is For:

This podcast is for creative women entrepreneurs, neurodivergent business owners, and spiritual seekers who want to build wildly successful businesses on their own terms—with more joy, less hustle, and a whole lot of magic.

    Links & Resources Mentioned:

    Notable Quotes:

"I don't want to do formulaic. I don't want life and business to look like anybody else's. I want it to be my own and I want other people to feel that same passion and joy and deliciousness at going full throttle chasing after their own dreams on the backs of unicorns."

"When I say there's a price change, like you might feel like there's a little bit tense hearing that, but it is in the opposite direction from what you think."

"I thought that level of executive functioning limitation was just something permanent that I would have for the rest of my life and that I would work accommodations around it. And that was fine. And then I started hearing a little bit about primitive reflexes..."

"It's not just about doing more things, but it's doing the important things that are actually going to grow your business and bring in more sales."
