Recently, I had the honor and pleasure of being a guest on my partner (and now fiance!) Codi's podcast as we talked about some big topics such as judgment, shame and how to hold space for yourself and others when we "hit a curb" in life. I thought it was such an important conversation to be having that I wanted to share it with you on my podcast too. 

In this episode, you'll hear how a recent event experienced by Codi triggered a cascade of emotions and subconscious beliefs. We explore the concept of shame cycles and self-judgment, plus the importance of acknowledging and processing negative emotions, rather than suppressing them, which is a journey that we've both been on. 

Ultimately, this is a process and there's multiple layers to it as your beliefs are hardwired, often since childhood. I realize it's been a few weeks since I've brought you a new episode, and I wanted to give you an update and fill you in on what's been happening in my life. Today, I share my experience of moving my mother out of her lifelong home due to dementia and memory loss, and as you'll hear, I've learned a lot about the emotional challenges of caring for a loved one that I thought may be helpful for any of your that are going through something similar with your loved ones. 

In this episode, I highlight the transition that will occur when that person is moving into a new living arrangement, while talking about the importance of providing support for your loved one throughout the process. I also look at the need to maintain emotional well-being, both for yourself and the other person, while creating new memories and building a supportive environment together. 

I hope this episode provides a safe space for contemplation and a compassionate discussion on navigating life-changing transitions with love and understanding.

I've talked about this before on the podcast, but it's because there's an addiction to stress and busyness, and living this way and running a business this way is just not sustainable.
