"I know everything about my trauma- So why am I still stuck?09 Jun 202600:11:10

What happens when you have done all the research, understand all your patterns, and can explain your trauma better than anyone- but nothing seems to change?

Trauma isn't just a story held in the mind, it's an experience carried in the body.  Sometimes the next step isn't to learn more. It might just be to feel more.

In this episode, I explore the risk of becoming an expert in your trauma and forgetting that safety might be the only thing that can get us to feel normal again.  It's important that the imprint our experiences leave on us don't hold us back from the present moment.  That is what I love about somatic work.  You don't have to relive your experiences, you just get to create new ones that make your body feel safe and then you can begin to heal.  I hope you enjoy this episode.

Chakras 101: a basic and simple guide to our energy centers01 Jun 202600:08:13

In this episode, I explain the 7 chakras in the most basic way.  This is an introduction to what they are, where they live and how they influence different aspects of your emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.

After exploring each energy center, I share a somatic exercise designed to help you reconnect with and support any chakra that may feel out of balance.

Balance of the 7 chakras influence feelings of stability, creativity, confidence, love, communication, intuition, and inner connection. By understanding the chakras one by one, you can begin to identify areas of your life where you might be experiencing resistance, imbalance or emotional tension.

A Meditation for the ADHD Brain01 Jun 202600:11:49

I wrote this meditation designed for the ADHD mind.  When your mind feels busy, scattered, or pulled in a dozen different directions, this short, simple meditation offers a place that you can slow down, reground, release mental clutter and find a sense of calm without forcing concentration.

There is no pressure to "clear" your mind or sit perfectly still.  Instead simply noticing where your attention is and gently return it to the present moment with kindness.

Same Grief, Different Journey: Introducing Elizabeth Gonzalez with Advanced Healing Counseling in Florida [TW: Suicide]13 Apr 202600:26:55

[TW: This episode mentions Suicide]  In this episode Elizabeth and I explore grief through different lenses.  We take many twists and turns as we explore what grief has looked like over the years for us.  This is a more personal journey into some enlightened ways we have come to look at loss in our life.  While we may have had to dissect our emotions along the way, finding ways to understand and heal from loss is something we have gotten really comfortable with.  It's not easy and it takes time, sometimes years.  If you enjoyed hearing this episode with Elizabeth, leave us a comment and we will have her back on. Actually, we will probably have her back on anyways, she's brilliant. 😉

WIRED and TIRED 30 Mar 202600:07:59

This episode starts with an experience I had the other day, that we can all relate to.  The friend that says yes to too many things, the burnout you see on their face and hear in their voice.  We all know it but they can't seem to see it's destroying them from the inside out.  I'll end by giving you a simple and real life tool to carry with you daily, to use when you are feeling the burnout of your own life. This episode is short but packed with truths we all encounter.

Hijacked- Stop scrolling for 30 seconds07 Jul 202600:38:13

Why is it so hard to put your phone down once you have started scrolling? Why do likes, followers and endless notifications feel so rewarding, even when we feel less connected than ever?

In this episode, I unpack these answers.  Join me on a journey and discussion about dopamine, cortisol, neuroscience and even my own doom scrolling down falls.  We will explore the reward system, our evolution in belonging, algorithms, advertising, scrolling habits and what keeps up engaged for far longer than ever expected.

I'll link all of this to the nervous system and how it responds to the constant flood of information, comparison, stimulation, and why these tendencies might be leaving us feeling anxious and disconnected.

We'll close with a grounding somatic practice designed to help you shift out of auto pilot, and back into the body with just a simple pause.  This is about creating a healthier relationship with technology, not giving it up completely.  It's about intentionality, not getting lost and loosing time.

From Scattered to Centered (The ADHD Nervous System)29 Jun 202600:15:39

In this episode I explore the connection between Somatic Work and ADHD.

What if ADHD isn't just in the mind, but also living deep in our nervous system?

I discuss how chronic stress, advice from others, masking, and emotional dysregulation often show up physically, and how body based practices can support greater self awareness and resilience when living with ADHD.

I wrote this episode hoping to give you a greater understanding of somatic work, how to use it, and some tools to try, to reconnect to your body and nervous system.  I encourage you to be patient with yourself,  begin by being curious, instead of judgmental.  Join me as I explore how working with your nervous system- not against it- can create more ease, presence, and self-trust in everyday life, while living with ADHD.
