Victoria talks about her initial blog which has now developed into a community of artists around the world, a magazine, a podcast and artist mentoring.
She shares how the platform evolved during the pandemic, and providing resources for art educators  and now supporting artists to build their own practice.

In 2023 Victoria launched a gallery space, Warnes Contemporary based in Brooklyn.  In this episode she talks about finding the gallery space and the artists she exhibits.

My guest is Debbie Allen who organises the Camberwell Arts Market and we discuss how people can make a strong application, the best image types to use for your promotion, how they can improve their experience of the market by promoting to their audience.

We discuss the the benefits of trading at arts markets so artists and makers can meet their customers directly, sell without commission, meet other makers and artists and build their network.

Then we move onto the practicalities of finding the right market for you and the questions you should consider when choosing a market to trade at.

Cynthia Corbett and Young Masters Art Prize

I am joined by Cynthia Corbett to discuss the Young Masters Art Prize which she founded in 2009.

In this podcast, Cynthia explains how the prize started and has grown over the years. She discusses the exhibitions that are scheduled for this years winners later in the fall and how the YMAP continues to exhibit outside of the prize years.

The prize has previously served as a launch pad for many artists which Cynthia shares on this episode, and is currently open for submissions from artists based anywhere in the world. She is keen to emphasise that Young Masters is a play on Old Masters. Young referring to living artists of any age practicing today - there is no upper age limit . And Masters refers to referencing art history in their work.

Living artists are encouraged to apply from anywhere in the world. Deadline to submit is 9 July 2023.
