I created this podcast three years ago to find and connect with other women interested in upland hunting and all things bird dogs. I was, and continue to be, eager to learn and be inspired. In the process, I've been listening and understanding what women want. My goals and mission are now focused on that; making opportunities available for like-minded women to connect and get started and involved more easily. Jaelee Schwartz is the owner of Green Gable Gundogs and winner of the 2021 US Open Cocker National Championship. She has been training and competing with Spaniels since she was 8 years old alongside her father, Jeff Schwartz, a professional trainer at Rock River Kennels.  Jaelee placed in her first licensed AKC Springer trial at 10 years old, and now a professional trainer herself, is the youngest person to win the Open National Cocker Championship. Despite all of Jaelee’s accomplishments, she claims failng was a big part of her journey. She believes anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

Katie Willis grew up big game hunting in Montana, then found herself in the wetlands and uplands with the addition of her first bird dog 13 years ago, a German Wirehaired Pointer, affectionately referred to as Bird Dog. BD was there by her side through undergrad and PA school, and during those long nights studying, Katie continued to remind Bird Dog of her promise to take him rooster hunting in North Dakota. A four week trip with a loyal best bird dog and two exuberant puppies, made some unforgettable memories for Katie and her crew.
