Never Again In The City. How I Got Rumbled!22 Oct 202600:14:13

Have you ever woken up after a night of drinking and struggled to piece together exactly what happened?

Well, I've got a story for you.

Wind back the clock about 15 years, when I was still working in the City, entertaining clients and living what I thought was a pretty successful life.

On the outside, everything looked great. But behind the scenes, I was beginning to question my relationship with alcohol.

And then came one particular night that I would never forget. Although, rather ironically, there was quite a lot of it I couldn't remember!

What followed was an unforgettable conversation with my lovely wife, Tara, that left me well and truly rumbled.

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I'm sharing one of my most embarrassing drinking stories and exploring the surprisingly powerful lesson hidden beneath the humour.

Because sometimes, the moments we laugh off are the very ones we need to take seriously.

What You'll Learn

  • Why I began questioning my relationship with alcohol
  • What happens when drinking leaves gaps in our memories
  • The unexpected ways alcohol can affect our relationships
  • Why seemingly harmless excuses can have a bigger impact than we realise
  • What one embarrassing experience taught me about trust and authenticity

Not Drinking? I Bet You're Fun At Parties!15 Oct 202600:13:42

“I bet you're fun at parties!”

It's one of those classic comments that people who don't drink have probably heard at least once.

But what happens when it comes from a 17-year-old who's had a few drinks, and you're standing there happily enjoying your alcohol-free beer?

Well, that's exactly what happened to me at a recent family party. And I have to admit, it was absolutely hilarious!

But once I'd stopped laughing, it got me thinking.

Why have we become so convinced that drinking equals fun and not drinking equals boring?

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I'm challenging one of the biggest cultural assumptions about alcohol and exploring what it really means to have fun.

Because after almost 12 years alcohol-free, I've discovered something rather surprising about where the real joy in life comes from.

And I think you might be surprised too.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why we associate drinking with having fun
  • How our beliefs about alcohol are shaped from an early age
  • The difference between perceived fun and genuine enjoyment
  • Why going alcohol-free doesn't mean giving up your social life
  • A simple reflection to help you rethink what truly brings you joy

09:00 – 11:30 The fun versus boring exercise

11:30 – 12:30 Challenging the stories we tell ourselves

12:30 – End: Your next step on the alcohol-free adventure

Your Next Step

Here's a little challenge for you.

Take a moment to think about the things in your life that genuinely bring you joy and those that take it away.

I'd love to know what you discover. Let me know whether your idea of fun has changed since going alcohol-free.

Yesterday, I turned 52.

And at 5:30 in the morning on my birthday, I found myself thinking about the 32-year-old version of me and everything I wish I could go back and tell him.

The Alcohol-Free Camino27 Sep 202600:36:47

What happens when you bring a group of alcohol-free adventurers together and walk 119 kilometres of one of the world’s most ancient spiritual paths?

I recently returned to the Camino de Santiago, this time with seven fellow pilgrims, for five days of walking, talking, reflecting and experiencing everything this incredible journey had to throw at us.

And there was a lot to reflect on.

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I’m taking you onto the Camino with me to explore one of the less obvious gifts that can emerge from going alcohol-free and how it can start opening doors to experiences you might once have talked yourself out of.

I’ll also share some of the lessons my fellow pilgrims taught me along the way, a rather convincing cheesecake mirage and the moment our peaceful adventure suddenly descended into complete chaos.

What You'll Learn:

  • One of the most overlooked gifts of going alcohol-free
  • What walking the Camino can teach us about ourselves
  • Why adventure and reflection can be such a powerful combination
  • Some unexpected lessons from my fellow pilgrims
  • What happened when things didn’t quite go according to plan

What One Year Alcohol-Free Feels Like, This Could Be You!20 Sep 202600:17:08

What happens when a 90-day alcohol-free challenge turns into an entire year?

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I’m celebrating a pretty special milestone. My little brother Rob and his wonderful wife Lou have officially reached one year alcohol-free.

But this episode isn’t only about celebrating them.

I want to explore what starts to happen when you stay on this adventure for longer. When you experience the weddings, stressful moments, celebrations and everything else life throws at you without automatically reaching for a drink.

Oh, and after my recent trip to Ireland, I also have an extremely important award to announce: the world’s greatest sober dancer.

It definitely isn’t me.

What You'll Learn:

  • What can happen when 90 days becomes one year
  • Why longer alcohol-free breaks can be so powerful
  • What big social occasions can teach you about yourself
  • Why the alcohol-free adventure can keep getting better
  • What might be waiting for you further down the road

Alcohol-free Weddings, Sober Dancing & Those BIG Social Events13 Sep 202600:22:21

Weddings. Big birthdays. Work parties.

Those BIG social events can be some of the most intimidating moments when you’re going alcohol-free. In fact, sometimes just seeing one in the diary can be enough to make you think, “Maybe I’ll start after that.”

But do these occasions really need alcohol to be fun?

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I tackle some of the fears that come with navigating big social occasions without drinking, including one of my own that sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud: sober dancing.

If you’ve got a wedding, birthday, holiday or big night out coming up and you’re wondering how on earth you’ll do it alcohol-free, this one’s for you.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why big social events can feel so challenging alcohol-free

  • How our minds create reasons to keep putting change off

  • Why sober dancing isn’t quite as scary as it sounds

  • A different way to approach your next big occasion

  • How facing these moments can change your confidence

12 Hours Drunk or One Spiritual Experience06 Sep 202600:22:57

Have you ever looked back at your drinking days through rose-tinted beer goggles and wondered whether you’re missing out?

Even after more than a decade alcohol-free, I still occasionally experience those little moments that make me wonder.

But what if the story our mind is telling us isn’t quite the full story?

In this episode of The Alcohol-Free Advantage, I explore FOMO, nostalgia and those moments when alcohol can suddenly seem appealing again. I also share an experience that gave me a completely different perspective on what we might really be missing out on.

And trust me, there’s a story behind the title of this episode.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why the past can sometimes look better than it really was

  • How to handle those unexpected moments of temptation

  • A different perspective on FOMO

  • What saying “yes” to alcohol might really mean

  • Why alcohol-free life can open doors you never expected

Not Addicted To Alcohol, We're In The Middle Lane!30 Aug 202600:13:47

For a long time, the conversation around alcohol felt incredibly black and white.

But what about everyone who sits somewhere in between?

Years ago, I started using the term “middle lane” to describe my own relationship with alcohol, and it went on to resonate with far more people than I could ever have imagined.

In this episode, I explore what it really means to be a middle lane drinker, why our relationship with alcohol isn't always easy to define, and why there might be another way to think about where you are right now.

If you've ever questioned your drinking but felt that the usual labels simply don't describe you, this one's for you.

What You'll Learn:

  • What it means to be a middle lane drinker

  • Why alcohol isn't always a black-and-white conversation

  • A different way to look at your relationship with alcohol

  • Why questioning your drinking can be a positive step

  • What's possible when you start seeing alcohol differently

Timestamps:

00:00 – 03:00 Are you a middle lane drinker?

03:00 – 06:00 Rethinking the traditional alcohol conversation

06:00 – 09:00 Is there another way?

09:00 – 12:00 Looking at your relationship with alcohol differently

12:00 – End The growing alcohol-free adventure

Why You Have A Thinking Problem, Not A Drinking Problem 23 Aug 202600:13:57

For most people in what I call the middle lane, changing your relationship with alcohol isn't really about having a drinking problem.

It's about having a thinking problem.

Over the years, we build beliefs around alcohol. It's fun. It helps me relax. It helps me socialise. But how often do we stop and ask whether those beliefs are actually still true?

Maybe alcohol felt fun when you were 19. But 10, 20 or 30 years later, when it's bringing tiredness, grumpiness, hangovers, anxiety, shame and regret, are you still getting what you think you're getting from it?

In this episode, I explore why challenging the way you think about alcohol can completely transform your relationship with it. I also share a story from the early days of my alcohol-free journey that reminds us why other people's opinions don't have to define what's possible for us.

Once you see alcohol differently, you can't unsee it. And that's when change can start to become so much easier.

What You'll Learn:

  • What I mean by the "middle lane" of drinking

  • Why outdated beliefs about alcohol can keep you trapped

  • How questioning whether alcohol is still "fun" can change your perspective

  • Why other people's opinions don't have to determine your future

  • How focusing on the alcohol-free advantage can transform what's possible in your life

Timestamps:

00:00 – 03:00 The middle lane and the thinking problem

03:00 – 06:00 The book rejection that could have stopped me

06:00 – 09:00 Challenging your old beliefs about alcohol

Brad Pitt Is Back On The Booze - My Views!16 Aug 202600:18:57

Brad Pitt is reportedly drinking again after around seven years of sobriety, and as you can imagine, everyone has an opinion.

So, I thought I'd share mine.

For me, this isn't about judging or shaming someone for making a personal choice. We're all wonderfully unique, and our relationship with alcohol is deeply personal. What works for one person might be completely wrong for another.

But when someone as famous and influential as Brad changes their relationship with alcohol, it can have an impact. I know this because I've experienced something similar myself. Around 18 months into my own alcohol-free adventure, seeing someone close to my journey return to drinking made me question whether I should do the same.

In this episode, I explore moderation, willpower, recovery, personal choice, and why ultimately the only relationship with alcohol that really matters is your own.

If your life is better without alcohol, why would you put it back in?

What You'll Learn:

  • Why everyone's relationship with alcohol is completely unique

  • Why someone else's decision to drink again can make you question your own

  • My own experience of nearly returning to alcohol

  • Why I believe moderation can become a difficult experiment with willpower

  • Why your own lived experience matters more than anybody else's choices

Timestamps:

00:00 – 04:00 Brad Pitt, sobriety and why everyone's journey is different

04:00 – 08:00 My alcohol-free journey and finding the middle lane

08:00 – 12:00 The moment I nearly went back to drinking

12:00 – 16:00 Moderation, willpower and running the experiment

Why Moderators Are Liars09 Aug 202600:14:01

Moderation sounds like the sensible middle ground. One or two drinks, stay in control, and carry on.

But I think there's a problem with that story.

For me, moderation means wanting more of something but using willpower to force yourself to have less. And when willpower inevitably runs low, one drink can become two, two can become five, and suddenly we're wondering what went wrong.

In this episode, I unpack why I believe moderation creates more mental noise than freedom, how confirmation bias convinces us we're better at moderating than we really are, and why those people who can nurse one drink all night might not be moderators at all.

Most importantly, I explore what happens when you stop negotiating with alcohol altogether and discover the peace, confidence, and freedom on the other side.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why moderation relies so heavily on willpower

  • How confirmation bias distorts the story we tell ourselves about drinking

  • Why one or two drinks can so easily become five

  • The difference between a moderator and what I call a "non-drinker in disguise"

  • Why going alcohol-free removes the constant negotiation and mental noise

Timestamps:

00:00 – 03:00 Why I believe moderation is doomed to fail

03:00 – 06:00 Confirmation bias and the moderation story

06:00 – 09:00 Why two drinks can so easily become five

09:00 – 11:00 The "non-drinker in disguise"

11:00 – End Escaping the noise of moderation and choosing alcohol-free

It Pains Me To Say This. But Someone Has To.29 Jul 202600:17:42

This is one of the hardest truths I've ever had to accept.

No one becomes a better person because of a drink.

That doesn't mean people who drink are bad people. Far from it. It means alcohol never helps us become more authentic, more present, or more connected. It simply creates the illusion that it does.

In this episode, I explore why alcohol convinces us we're becoming the person we want to be, why that illusion is so powerful, and why the greatest transformation begins when you finally meet the real you.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why alcohol creates the illusion of becoming a better version of yourself

  • The difference between your authentic self and your alcohol-fuelled self

  • How alcohol quietly fills the "gaps" we believe exist in our personality

  • Why confidence built on alcohol is never lasting confidence

  • The freedom that comes from showing up as your true self

Timestamps:

00:00 – 02:00 The uncomfortable truth about alcohol

02:00 – 06:00 Why alcohol tricks us into believing we're better people

06:00 – 10:00 The illusion of confidence and "filling the gaps" in our personality

For years, I thought I was showing up at my best on a Monday.

Looking back, I wasn't even close.

Like so many people, I was caught in a cycle of drinking, recovering, surviving, and calling it normal. I had no idea just how much alcohol was quietly stealing from me, not just my health, but my energy, ambition, focus, relationships, and productivity.

In this episode, I explore why I believe alcohol is the world's biggest productivity killer, how it quietly puts a lid on our potential, and why removing it gives you an unfair advantage in every area of life.

My Greatest Fear About Going Dry, And It Might Be Yours Too!24 Jun 202600:23:32

When I first considered taking a break from alcohol, my biggest fear wasn't missing the drink.

It was losing myself.

Who would I be without alcohol? Would I still be fun? Would people still like me? Would I still be confident enough to walk into a room, dance at weddings, connect with people, and feel like I belonged?

Looking back, I realise those fears had very little to do with alcohol and everything to do with identity.

In this episode, I explore one of the biggest hidden challenges of going alcohol-free: rediscovering who you really are underneath the persona alcohol creates. I share my own experience, the stories I told myself for years, and why I now believe that finding your authentic self is one of the greatest gifts of this entire journey.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why fear of losing your identity keeps so many people stuck

  • How alcohol creates a version of ourselves that isn't truly authentic

  • The difference between confidence and alcohol-fuelled confidence

  • Why authenticity is one of the greatest gifts of alcohol-free living

  • How removing alcohol helps you reconnect with who you really are

My Dryy Adventure Is Over! And Why I Am So Proud Of All We Achieved!17 Jun 202600:17:19

Breaking news.

My Dryy adventure is over.

After more than four incredible years, the Dryy app and community has come to an end. But this isn't a story about failure. It's a story about impact, courage, learning, and what happens when you dare to take a swing at something that matters.

In this episode, I reflect on the journey that Matt Pink and I embarked on together, helping tens of thousands of people transform their relationship with alcohol through the Dryy community.

I share why I'm incredibly proud of what we built, the lessons I've learned from entrepreneurship, and why this ending feels more like a beginning.

Most importantly, I explore one of the greatest gifts of alcohol-free living: becoming a dreamer of the day. The kind of person who stops talking about change and starts creating it.

Because when alcohol is no longer stealing your time, energy, confidence, and momentum, extraordinary things start to happen.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why the end of Dryy is something I'm celebrating, not mourning

  • The lessons entrepreneurship teaches us about growth and resilience

  • Why alcohol can quietly become a killer of dreams and ambition

  • The difference between talking about change and taking action

  • How becoming alcohol-free helps you become a "dreamer of the day"

The Doom Loop09 Jun 202600:20:05

What if I told you that almost every reason people drink alcohol is actually created by alcohol itself?

Stress. Anxiety. Escapism. Boredom. Even the need to relax.

In this episode, I unpack what I call The Doom Loop. A powerful catch-22 that keeps millions of people stuck in an endless cycle where alcohol appears to be the solution, while secretly being the cause of the problem.

Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

This is one of the most important concepts I've ever shared because understanding the doom loop changes everything.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why alcohol creates many of the problems it claims to solve

  • The science behind stress, sleep, and the alcohol anxiety cycle

  • How the "doom loop" keeps people trapped in unwanted habits

  • Why relaxation through alcohol is an illusion

  • How to break the cycle and build healthier ways to relax and unwind

This Statement About Alcohol Made Me Angry!02 Jun 202600:18:16

This episode was sparked by something I recently came across that genuinely frustrated me.

Not because it was provocative, but because it touched on a belief about alcohol that I think so many of us have accepted without ever stopping to question.

The idea got under my skin enough that I felt compelled to unpack it properly.

Because when I look back at my own drinking career, I don't see alcohol making me a better version of myself. I see something very different.

This is a powerful conversation about identity, authenticity, and becoming the person you were always meant to be.

What You'll Learn:

  • Why alcohol can create the illusion of confidence and connection

  • The difference between your authentic self and your alcohol-created persona

  • How alcohol slowly creates the very problems it appears to solve

  • Why many of us become attached to a version of ourselves that isn't real

  • How removing alcohol helps you reconnect with your true identity

20 Strangers No Alcohol In Ibiza - What Could Go Wrong!27 May 202600:12:21

Ibiza. No alcohol.

For most people, those two things simply do not belong in the same sentence.

But that’s exactly what happened on our recent reinvention retreat, where a group of complete strangers came together in Ibiza without a drop of alcohol.

And honestly?

It turned into one of the most powerful, connected, joyful experiences I’ve ever been part of.

In this episode, I unpack what really happens when people remove alcohol from social situations, retreats, holidays, and connection. Because what I witnessed in Ibiza completely challenged the old belief that alcohol creates fun.

I actually think the opposite is true.

This episode is about authenticity, connection, energy, and what becomes possible when people stop numbing themselves and start showing up fully as who they really are.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why alcohol-free environments create deeper connection and authentic relationships

  • What really happens when strangers meet without alcohol involved

  • How alcohol often creates fake confidence and fake connection

  • Why alcohol-free retreats unlock more joy, energy, and transformation

  • The hidden ways alcohol steals momentum, presence, and real fun

Timestamps:

03:00 – 05:00 My old relationship with Ibiza and alcohol

05:00 – 08:00 What happens when strangers connect without drinking

08:00 – 11:00 How alcohol would have changed the entire retreat dynamic

Let's Find Out Once And For All: Is Not Drinking Boring?14 May 202600:14:19

A 17 year old completely destroyed me at a party recently.

I told him I hadn’t had a drink for 12 years and he hit me with: “That’s really boring.”

Then came the knockout punch: “I bet you’re fun at parties.”

Honestly, it made me laugh.

But once the dust settled, it got me thinking about just how deeply ingrained our cultural beliefs around alcohol really are. Before he’s even legally allowed to drink, he already believes alcohol equals fun and not drinking equals boring.

So in this episode, I decided to properly challenge that idea once and for all.

And spoiler alert… I think we’ve got this whole thing completely backwards.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why society teaches us that alcohol equals fun from a very young age

  • The “bore-off” exercise that completely reframes drinking

  • How alcohol quietly creates many of the things we find boring in life

  • Why alcohol-free living creates more energy, joy, confidence, and connection

  • How to challenge the beliefs that keep you stuck in the drinking cycle

Timestamps:

05:00 – 08:00 The “bore-off” and redefining what boring really means

08:00 – 11:00 Why alcohol creates the very problems it pretends to solve

The Willpower Free Method To Quit Anything!30 Apr 202600:24:34

In this episode, I share a powerful reminder of how to create lasting behavioral change without relying on the exhausting and unreliable tool of willpower.

This conversation is for anyone on an alcohol-free adventure who has ever felt "cursed by the willpower gods" or frustrated by their inability to just "decide and change."

This is not about grit or suffering through temptation. It is about understanding the "Willpower Free Method," identifying the love-hate relationship of ambivalence, and learning how to tip the scales so that living your best life becomes the easiest choice you can make.

What you’ll learn in this episode:

  • The truth about the Marshmallow Study and what it really means for your success

  • Why willpower is like a "metaphorical muscle" that runs out by the end of the day

  • The fatal flaw in the willpower-only approach to quitting anything

  • How "Ambivalence" (the love-hate relationship) creates the need for willpower in the first place

  • The Story of the 3 Andys: How perspective shifts from age 25 to 45

  • Why life is a "beliefs game" rather than a test of psychological endurance

A Short Reflection On Alcohol-Free & Life That You Might Enjoy!24 Apr 202600:17:31

In this episode, I dive into one of the biggest hidden barriers to success in both coaching and alcohol-free living: overthinking.

So many people get stuck trying to figure everything out before they take action. They want the perfect plan, the perfect moment, the perfect version of themselves before they begin.

But that’s not how growth works.

I share why taking imperfect action is the real key to momentum, how overthinking keeps you stuck, and what you can do to break free from it starting today.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re “thinking about it” more than actually doing it, this episode is for you.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why overthinking is one of the biggest blockers to progress

  • How perfectionism keeps you stuck and stops momentum

  • The power of taking action before you feel ready

  • Why clarity comes from doing, not thinking

  • Simple ways to build confidence through action

How A Story About A Wolf Can Transform Your Life14 Apr 202600:15:31

In this episode, I share one of the most powerful stories ever told about personal transformation, the story of the two wolves. This simple idea has the power to completely reshape how you see your thoughts, your habits, and ultimately your life.

I also connect this story to alcohol-free living, showing how what you focus on daily determines the quality of your life. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like life is happening to you rather than for you, this episode will give you a new lens to see everything differently.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why the “two wolves” story explains almost all human behaviour

  • How your focus shapes your emotions and your entire life experience

  • The hidden way alcohol feeds negativity, stress, and disconnection

  • Why joy is something you train, not something you wait for

  • Simple daily habits to shift your mindset and transform your life

Is Drinking Fun Or Not? Let's Solve This Once And For All!07 Apr 202600:16:27

In this episode, I tackle one of the biggest beliefs that keeps people stuck in the drinking cycle: the idea that alcohol is fun. It’s a story most of us have told ourselves for years, but is it actually true?

I break this down from every angle, exploring how our brains create and reinforce this belief, even when our lived experience tells a very different story. This is about getting honest, challenging the narrative, and seeing alcohol for what it really is.

Once you start to question the idea that drinking equals fun, everything begins to shift. Because when that belief falls apart, so does the hold alcohol has over you.

If you’ve ever felt torn between knowing alcohol isn’t serving you and still believing it’s “fun,” this episode will help you cut through the noise and see the truth clearly.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why “alcohol is fun” is one of the most powerful limiting beliefs

  • How confirmation bias keeps you stuck in old stories

  • The truth about what drinking actually feels like (during and after)

  • Why the “great night” story is often a cultural illusion

  • How to redefine real fun in a way that actually serves your life

The Science Of Change & What It Tells Us About Slip Ups!31 Mar 202600:22:42

In this episode, I dive into the real science of change and why slip-ups are not something to fear, but something to expect. So many of us believe that if we decide to change, we should be able to do it perfectly. And when we don’t, we beat ourselves up and assume something is wrong with us.

The truth is very different.

I explore the powerful “spiral of change” model and share insights from one of the world’s leading experts on behaviour change. You’ll see why lasting transformation is not about willpower or perfection, but about learning, adapting, and evolving over time.

I also open up about my own journey, the identity shift that comes with going alcohol-free, and how embracing your authentic self is the real key to freedom and confidence.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like you keep “failing” at change, this episode will completely reframe how you see the process.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why slip-ups are a crucial part of lasting change, not a sign of failure

  • The truth about willpower and why it’s not the key to transformation

  • How the spiral of change works and why you’re never back at zero

  • The role of identity and stories in keeping you stuck

  • How to turn setbacks into powerful learning that moves you forward

Why You Have A Thinking Problem, Not A Drinking Problem24 Mar 202600:18:56

This is one of the most important shifts you can ever make on your alcohol-free journey.

For years, I thought I had a drinking problem. That I needed more discipline, more willpower, more control.

But I was focusing on the wrong thing.

In this episode I break down the real reason we struggle with alcohol, and it has nothing to do with the drink itself.

In this episode, I share a powerful and deeply personal conversation about what it really means to unleash the alcohol-free advantage and step into a more vibrant, intentional life.

This episode is for anyone who feels tired, flat, stuck, or quietly underperforming and knows, deep down, that alcohol may be playing a bigger role than they have been willing to admit. • How to design a life where alcohol no longer fits into

Bed Bound Burnout To Mothernatured Based Healing & Wellness Drink With Mike Mudie02 Dec 202501:08:56

In this episode, I sit down with Mike Mudie to talk about one of the most powerful stories I have ever been part of. Mike went from achieving the biggest professional success of his life straight into complete physical collapse. His body shut down. He could not walk. He could not lift a fork. And no one in traditional medicine could explain why.

What followed was a six-month healing journey into holistic health, nature-based medicine, and reconnection with the body. That journey led to something extraordinary. Together, we explore how his burnout became the birth of Authentic Brew, a functional wellness drink powered by mushrooms, botanicals, and pure Mother Nature.

This conversation is about more than business. It is about listening to your body, understanding burnout, the power of nature, and why sometimes life has to break you before it rebuilds you.

Can Alcohol Moderation Work, Or Is It A Fantasy? Here’s My Strong Opinion11 Nov 202500:19:50

In this episode, I tackle one of the biggest questions I get asked: Can alcohol moderation actually work? After 12 years on this alcohol-free adventure, I’ve seen it all, from people who transform their lives during a break to those who try to “drink on their terms” and end up right back where they started. I unpack what moderation really means, why willpower alone doesn’t work, and the truth behind those “just one or two” nights that never stay that way.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • What moderation really looks like (and why it rarely lasts)
  • The neuroscience behind why alcohol hijacks your brain
  • Why willpower isn’t a long-term strategy
  • The illusion of “social drinking” and how it keeps people stuck
  • The difference between a moderation mindset and a mostly dry mindset
  • Why going alcohol-free unlocks energy, joy, and true freedom
