We are pleased to be joined this week by Sema Gornall CEO of the survivor led organisation The Vavengers committed to ending FGM and other forms of gender-based violence. Secondly Warda Mohamed community ambassador and CEO of lasting support services, an organisation aimed at safeguarding young people. Warda is also heading up initiatives such as ‘Building Bridges’ which provide a creative arts program for children who may have experienced domestic violence or harm in their homes.

During this episode we discuss their first hand experiences with gender based violence and how this led them to be where they are today.

 This week we are discussing the 16 days of action which aims to raise awareness of violence against women and girls. This campaign is running between the 25th of November and 10th December.

With 1.5 million women in the UK alone suffering from Endometriosis, and many still waiting for treatment or even formal diagnosis, this week we are joined by Jorja who after 10 years living in pain finally got her endo diagnosis at age 25. 

Within this episode, Jorja is going to tell her story which will include the processes and treatment she received.
