In April 2021, Alex Mitchell took a medical intervention that had been released to the global public, with the promise that this injection would be not only safe & effective but would slow down the spread of a disease that was allegedly so deadly we had to close down the world to stop it. Alex, believing he was doing his part for humanity, had his entire world turned upside down within a short few days after that injection. A life saving operation meant that he had to have his leg amputated due to a multitude of blood clots. And now must continue to monitor his health daily for the fear of his own life. After specialist training in Leeds and Glasgow where he was a Pfizer clinical research fellow, he entered General Practice as a GP Principal in Leicester in 1982.

Teck was also senior police surgeon with Leicestershire Constabulary and a forensic physician for Northamptonshire Police.He served on a number of committees and advisory panels in both medicine and politics.

Teck was latterly elected a board member of NHS Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group.
