I had Meredith as a guest here on the podcast last June, episode 113 Taylor Swift and the Divine Feminine. We have since gotten to know each other a little better and when I heard that she was promoting her new book, I wanted to support her in spreading the word.

I was happy to read a copy of her book last weekend- she is a great writer and storyteller and I loved the way she wove it all together… Nevermind the sprinkling in of messages from spirit and divine interventions along the way! Right up my alley! She did a beautiful job of making magic from her hardship and in turn will help loads of others who are on a similar journey.

Meredith Beardmore is a licensed psychotherapist, author, and the creator of the YouTube channel Mend with Mere. Her second book, The Plan B Chronicles: Divorce. Defiance. Liberation., is a fierce and funny collection of essays about heartbreak, single motherhood, and rewriting your future when life blows up the blueprint.

She’s also the author of Hey Addiction, Thanks for Nothing: A Brutally Honest Guide to Loving an Addict Without Losing Your Mind, inspired by her years of supporting families of addicts—both professionally and personally.

Meredith holds a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University and integrates ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and expressive arts into her therapeutic work. Her writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, and Colman McCarthy’s Teaching Peace. She lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her son, Jules, and their dog, Reese

On Episode 119, I speak with Kate Olson who is a priestess and Seidr practitioner whose work is centered around reclaiming the sacred feminine and reintegrating the feminine into our collective consciousness and our individual lives. Sitting at the intersection of history, psychology, and spirituality Kate weaves together the Pre-Christian traditions of Northern Europe and the Lineage of The Rose to hold truly transformational spaces.

I learned about Kate through the Instagram algorithms somehow along the way. Her handle is @themysticinthewoods and I just appreciated the sharpness in which she delivers information and how much that she knows, and that she’s a scholar. She’s a great teacher, she’s down to Earth, she’s fun and full of information! We speak about so many things, but notably the Witch Wound and the church’s creation of the Devil! It’s all so fascinating.

When we were forced to stay home in March 2020, I was pushed out of my comfort zone with my healing work. Sure, I knew that distance healing worked and I even teach people how to do so in my Reiki 2 classes… but I hadn’t relied on doing that as my main work ever! It was something I’d only done once in a rare while. However, I wanted to continue to serve people during those early Covid days and this was how to do that! In this episode I speak of the power of distance healing work and share some stories of my experiences in giving Reiki and readings in this distant yet very connected way of healing!

Each year there is a crystal expo in NJ… I’ve been going since 2016 or 2017. I love it, it’s like Christmas morning for me! I recently attended and stocked up on stones this past week which inspired me to record today’s show. I talk about my love relationship with crystals that heavily woke up in me a dozen years ago and has grown from collecting to now selling and sharing them with everyone around me who’ll give me the time of day! Crystals are such a valuable tool in the energy healing world- I think everyone would benefit from getting to know them!

Earlier this week was Mikao Usui’s birthday. Mikao Usui is the founder of Reiki and he was born August 15, 1865. Truly, Reiki is as old as time. It just got forgotten for a while and Mikao helped us to remember our innate healing abilities! I’ve been practicing Reiki since 2010 and began teaching it to others by 2014. It can be truly life changing work and I love sharing it with others! In this episode I speak about what a Reiki session can feel like.

Animal totems are such a neat topic. Whether you have always associated with one particular type of animal your whole life, or you have had the experience of seeing the same animal many times within a few short days. Their message is worth paying attention to! In Episode 15 - Vacation - I talk about my recent vacation with my family down in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. My family is not an outdoorsy family, but we pretended to be for a couple of days anyway. We all so needed this break and change of scenery. We literally had to go with flow and relax bc we had no other choice. :)

On Episode 14 I am talking about my online course. It's going to start up again in the fall and I wanted to share about it here with you.

Once we feel awakened to our Spirituality, it can feel a little overwhelming with all there is to know! We can also feel lonely since everyone in our circle may not be on the same page.
