While we are not more likely to be victims of violence because we sell sex, we are more likely to be victims of violence because people think the fact that we sell sex makes us less than human. Meet Charlie Bear, a trans, non-binary sex worker based in Melbourne, on Wurundjeri land. They were assigned female at birth, but currently live in a body that falls between female and male, and use they/them pronouns.
