Clues from Sylvie, the Syllogikos  students, and recent encounters point toward a surge of corrupted energy the students call the taint. With an audience with King Mortimer in the morning, the Nildorin attempt to prepare, though worry grows about what waits beneath Wenkam. The city feels strained, as if something unseen is pressing against its foundations.

Hoping for answers, Neme uses a potion of sending to reach Karvix. He is alive but trapped inside Death's Keep, held as bait by forces he cannot name. The revelation shakes the party and strengthens their resolve to reach him before the unthinkable. That night, exhaustion gives way to an impossible shared dream.

In a colorless void, a former goddess appears. She reveals some truths of the tomes: Nemiea’s is the guide, Dante's the compass, and Reed carries strength, but is also bound to fate. The tomes must be gathered before the end draws near. When Nemiea and Dante awaken, their tomes hum with renewed power, signaling that destiny has already begun to tighten around them.

Sylvie senses the tomes they carry, and her interest is far from friendly.

Nemiea rushes to Dante and Reed, pulling the group into an urgent meeting. Lord Xanderwolf and the Gleeman join as new truths unfold: the dragon is hunting answers, the planar breaches are worsening, and last night's chaos was only the beginning. Dante shares a dreamlike battle with his father and new control over his wolf form, while Reed handles the morning in her usual chaotic style.

Supplies and upgrades are needed, but Wenkam refuses to make anything easy. At the Laughing Sprite, the eccentric seer Femdi guides them to strange treasures: a new cloak for Nemiea, a quiver for Dante, and a judgmental bird that seems to have adopted Reed.

Their day continues at the Full Moon Day Spa and Brothel, where Nemea is still recovering from her less than graceful escape the night before. With new clues and rising tension, the Nildorin brace for whatever the School of Magic holds and how it ties to the Lost Tomes.

Dante tries to keep the peace but ends up starting more fights than he stops. Reed dives headfirst into the fray, her laughter ringing through the street as spells sizzle through the air. Nemiea brings art to the madness, weaving clockwork sorcery through smoke and silver light until the courtyard shimmers with chaos. When the guards arrive, they find the Nildorin grinning through bruises, making bets on who would come out on top in the fray.

As the evening comes to a close, Lord Xanderwolfe and The Gleeman deep in their cups the party turns in for the night, a busy day ahead of them. Dante & Reed bunk up, while Nemiea puts Lord Xanderwolfe to bed. As Nemiea readies for sleep, an unexpected knock comes at the door.
