Our work builds on affirmation of individual rights in the US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, & the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Ricci Levy (she/her) has been engaged in sexual freedom activism for several decades. In 2003, she helped found the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, dedicated to defending personal autonomy of all individuals. Executive Director, then President/CEO of the Foundation, Ricci has led Woodhull for more than 20 years.
Mandy Salley brings her passion for social justice and love for humanity to the Woodhull Freedom Foundation as its COO. Since 2014 when she first served as a volunteer coordinator, Mandy has played an integral role at Woodhull, now managing its day-to-day operations & community efforts – from its Human Rights Commissions to the Censorship of Sexual Freedom Series.

The longer one practices kink, the greater the chance that they make a mistake. Mistakes are ok, as long as we learn from them! The best way to learn from our mistakes is to be open and honest about them, understand how they happened, and work to prevent them in the future. We will all share some of the fuck ups we have had in our kink journeys. This is to destigmatize failure as something to be afraid of and realize that failure is the beginning of wisdom, not the end.
Doctor Bubbles and KitKat Ann met at Beyond Vanilla in '18 and found a kindred spirit in each other. Since then they have gone from playmates to best friends, eventually establishing a M/s dynamic and romantic partnership. Their dynamic is based on integrity, trust, respect, growth, balance, and improving the world around them. In '21, they were named the Texas Power Exchange titleholders and became named the '22 International Power Exchange titleholders. He has received numerous awards, including the “Leather Leadership Award” from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the “Jack Stice Memorial Award” at South Planes LeatherFest, and the Marcus Hernandez Lifetime Achievement Award at Pantheon of Leather.
Hardy is a columnist for the Dallas Voice, Digital Experience Manager for Cathedral of Hope, and former Chairperson of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation. He lives in Dallas, where he and his boy celebrated 29 years together as partners in play and life.

"The Science of BDSM" explores the history of scientific research on BDSM, from early attempts by psychiatrists to pathologize S&M to recent work by social scientists to understand the demographics of BDSM practitioners, dynamics of BDSM relationships, hormonal effects of topping and bottoming, and altered states of consciousness that BDSM activities sometimes produce.
Dr. Brad Sagarin is a professor of social psychology at Northern Illinois University and the head of the Science of BDSM Research Team. Brad's research focuses on consensual BDSM, social influence, and statistics. Brad has been published in scholarly journals, has given radio, TV, and podcast interviews, has consulted for radio and TV programs, and has delivered lectures to academic and non-academic organizations. His research has been cited in newspapers and magazines, including The Economist and New Scientist. He holds Doctorate/Master's degrees in Social Psych from Arizona State University, and a Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science from MIT.
