Episode 1331: The Low-Stress Revenue Stream for Business Owners with Troy Broussard26 Oct 202600:24:27

What if you could generate more cash flow from the market without staring at charts all day or taking unnecessary risks?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Troy Broussard, CEO and Founder of Low Stress Trading, who shares how entrepreneurship, health scares, crypto losses, and high-stress trading led him to develop a simpler, more disciplined approach to options trading. He explains that his framework uses covered calls and cash-secured puts within a repeatable, mathematically based system designed to generate cash flow without the demands of day trading. Troy also discusses why patience and discipline are more important than prior trading experience, and he shares examples of students who have used the framework to pursue greater financial independence.

Key Takeaways:

→ More aggressive trading isn't necessarily better because day trading and other high-intensity strategies can create unnecessary stress and risk.

→ Simplicity is a core objective, with the goal of creating an approach that does not require spending all day watching the market.

→ A successful strategy should be predictable, repeatable, and mathematically grounded, giving people a framework beyond intuition.

→ Patience is essential when trades don't immediately deliver the desired results, especially during periods of market volatility or pullbacks.

→ The ultimate goal is financial freedom, and the strategy is designed to help people generate additional cash flow and greater financial independence.

With a background in electrical and nuclear engineering from his time in the U.S. Navy, Troy Broussard has spent the past two decades building a career as a parallel entrepreneur. He’s founded multiple companies in software development, SEO, marketing automation, and business coaching, and still actively runs 5 of them. He’s also authored more than 45 privately published books.

Today, Troy is best known as the CEO & Founder of Low Stress Trading, which has taught thousands of students a simple, repeatable framework for generating weekly premium from options trading in just an hour or two each week.

Episode 1330: What Insurance Companies Don’t Want You to Know with Brent Stewart21 Oct 202600:16:12

After an accident, one wrong move can weaken your case, cost you money, and make an already difficult situation even worse.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Brent Stewart, Lawyer at Stewart Law Offices, who explains why injured individuals should seek legal advice early, the risks of giving an insurance company a statement before speaking with an attorney, and how lawyers assess the broader financial and personal impact of an injury. Brent also discusses the importance of investigation, documentation, client relationships, and maintaining a family-oriented culture while growing a multi-office law firm.

Key Takeaways:

→ Injuries can have financial consequences that extend far beyond the immediate medical bills.

→ Seeking legal advice early can help injured people avoid mistakes that may weaken their recovery.

→ The value of an injury case involves more than medical bills and can include lost wages, loss of enjoyment of life, and other damages.

→ Injured people have the burden of proving their injury and may need to participate actively in the legal process.

→ Thorough investigation can uncover evidence that significantly alters how an accident and injury are understood.

Thirty-one years ago, Brent Stewart built Stewart Law Offices on a single conviction: when someone's life is turned upside down by injury or loss, they deserve an attorney who treats them like family.

Over the past three decades, Brent has grown Stewart Law Offices into a thriving practice with a team of ten dedicated attorneys and seven office locations — each attorney committed to the same standard of care Brent built the firm on. And yet, Brent still shares his personal number. To him, every client deserves to know that if they ever need to hear directly from the man who built this firm, that door is always open.

Episode 1329: Legal Mistakes Business Owners Make with Joe Prencipe19 Oct 202600:16:55

One flawed assumption in a high-stakes deal can turn an exciting opportunity into an expensive legal problem.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Joe Prencipe, Managing Partner of Prencipe International, who discusses the legal risks business owners face when buying, selling, and scaling companies. Joe explains why due diligence, buyer vetting, strong contracts, experienced legal counsel, and careful negotiation are critical when significant money is at stake. He also explains how litigation often hinges on leverage and psychology, and why entrepreneurs need to rethink legal protection as their businesses grow.

Key Takeaways:

→ High-stakes transactions require more scrutiny than routine business decisions.

→ Buyers can get into serious trouble when excitement replaces proper due diligence.

→ Sellers should thoroughly vet a buyer’s finances and ability to close.

→ Requesting proof of funds and financial information is a normal part of protecting a deal.

→ Litigation often involves leverage, psychology, and an understanding of the other side’s weaknesses.

Joe Prencipe is a top-ranked international attorney with 19 years of experience and the Managing Partner at Prencipe International. He began his career in Tokyo at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and later practiced at Baker McKenzie LLP. He has also worked with the U.S. S.E.C. Episode 1328: The Difference Between Command and Leadership with Robert W. Mixon, Jr. 14 Oct 202600:17:43

The best leaders do more than give direction. They build the trust, clarity, and commitment that inspire people to succeed together.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Robert W. Mixon, Jr., owner of Level Five Associates Inc. and a Major General, USA (retired), who shares leadership lessons from more than three decades in the U.S. Army and from his transition into corporate leadership and consulting. He explains why authentic leadership requires vulnerability, listening, adaptability, and a culture of commitment rather than mere compliance. General Mixon also explores decision-making under uncertainty, tactical patience, organizational change, and the principles leaders can use to guide teams through increasingly complex environments.

Key Takeaways:

→ Authenticity and vulnerability can distinguish exceptional leaders from purely transactional leaders.

→ Effective leaders listen to understand rather than simply waiting for a chance to respond.

→ A culture of commitment is more powerful than a culture of compliance.

→ Leaders need to regularly ask meaningful questions and assess organizational culture.

→ Becoming too attached to a plan can prevent leaders from recognizing changing conditions and from listening to valuable advice from their teams.

At the time of his retirement from the Army in 2007, Major General (Ret) Robert W. Mixon, Jr., was Commanding General, Division West, First Army, and Fort Carson, Colorado, having previously commanded the 7th Infantry Division. Throughout his more than 30 years of active service, he commanded armor and cavalry units at every level, including platoon, company, battalion, and brigade. Robert also held critical staff positions, including serving as deputy executive assistant to General Colin Powell, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Before assuming command of the 7th Infantry Division, he led the Army’s Task Force Modularity, an integrated team of highly skilled military and civilian experts charged with changing the Army’s force design while at war.

After retiring, Robert joined Magnatag Visible Systems in Macedon, New York, as President. In 2009, he became Executive Vice President of CDS Monarch, a 501(c)(3) based in Webster, New York, that provides life and job transition services for over 1500 people with developmental disabilities. He also helped found the Warrior Salute Program for Veterans with PTSD and TBI. He and his wife moved to Melbourne, Florida, in 2020.

Robert, co-author of the Amazon #1 bestseller Cows in the Living Room: Developing an Effective Strategic Plan and Sustaining It (2014) and author of the Amazon Best New Release We’re All In: The Journey to a World-Class Culture (2017), is an active blogger who publishes bi-weekly videos and blog posts. He has taught leadership in executive education programs at the Olin Business School of Washington University at St. Louis and the Cox Business School at Southern Methodist University. For five consecutive years, he has been selected for the Teaching Excellence Award at SMU. In December 2023, he published his latest book: The Power of Being All In: Why Today’s Transformative Times Demand Transformational Leadership. It immediately became an Amazon #1 Bestseller in 5 leadership categories.

Episode 1327: Turn Your Story Into Something That Matters with Ashley Stahl12 Oct 202600:14:53

What if feeling stuck isn't a sign that you have no options, but a sign that you need to reconnect with who you are and what you do best?

In this episode of SharkPreneur, Seth Greene interviews Ashley Stahl, CEO of Wise Whisper Agency, who shares how her career evolved from counterterrorism and national security to speaking, entrepreneurship, and helping other thought leaders turn their ideas into influential talks and personal brands. She explains how to identify your zone of genius, distinguish between pushing through and making a career U-turn, and uncover the original thinking that makes your message stand out. Ashley also explores how speakers can move beyond telling inspirational stories to create actionable, transformational content that builds authority, generates opportunities, and makes a lasting impact.

Key Takeaways:

→ Career decisions should be guided by your strongest skills and natural gifts, not simply by the subjects or activities you enjoy.

→ Spending roughly 70% of your time in your zone of genius and 30% stretching into new areas can create a balance between contribution and growth.

→ A career does not always have to provide a sense of purpose, but it should give you a meaningful way to contribute.

→ Original thinking does not require inventing an idea nobody has ever heard before; it can come from expressing familiar ideas through your own perspective and experience.

→ One powerful talk can create opportunities far beyond the stage, including clients, book deals, licensing opportunities, and greater authority.

Ashley Stahl runs Wise Whisper, a boutique speaking agency that's helped hundreds of clients craft signature speeches and secure speaking engagements on hundreds of BIG stages worldwide. Ashley is also the international bestselling author of YOU TURN: Get Unstuck, Discover Your Direction, Design Your Dream Career; host of the You Turn Podcast (ranked among the top 100 mental health shows on Apple in the US); and a keynote speaker with a top 100 most-viewed TEDx talk on YouTube. Episode 1326: The New Rules of Legal Marketing with Nick Cohen07 Oct 202600:15:04

Law firms can spend heavily on marketing and still not know what is actually generating new cases.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Nick Cohen, Esq., COO at Matador Solutions, who explains why law firms should focus less on vanity metrics and more on lead tracking, cases generated, and measurable return on investment. He explains how Google reviews, referrals, high-intent search, and emerging AI platforms such as ChatGPT are reshaping how potential clients find and choose attorneys. Nick also discusses the shift from traditional SEO rankings toward AI citations and mentions, and outlines the three areas he believes smaller law firms should prioritize over the next year.

Key Takeaways:

→ Law schools generally do not teach attorneys how to market, manage, or grow a law firm, leaving many lawyers with a major business knowledge gap.

→ Traffic and impressions can become vanity metrics if they do not translate into qualified leads and new cases.

→ High-intent searches are more valuable than broad traffic because they come from people actively seeking legal help.

→ AI search is beginning to influence how consumers find attorneys, with some users moving directly to tools like ChatGPT rather than starting with Google.

→ Referrals remain highly valuable because they typically convert at a higher rate than cold internet leads do.

Nick Cohen, Esq., is Matador’s Chief Operating Officer and a licensed California attorney. He began in legal marketing at 12, learning to code and generate business online. After earning his business degree from USC’s Marshall School, he managed more than $10M in digital ad spend at a Los Angeles e-commerce company. He then attended Loyola Law School on a merit scholarship in the evenings while working at Matador during the day. He now brings both legal expertise and performance marketing experience to Matador’s 160+ law firm partners.

Episode 1325: The New Rules of B2B Lead Generation with Nas Vou05 Oct 202600:15:26

More traffic, more automation, and more outreach will not fix a growth problem if you do not know exactly where your funnel is breaking down.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Nas Vou, Founder and CEO of Do It Digital, who shares how service-based businesses can build more predictable lead generation by refining their offers, identifying the right prospects, and tracking metrics throughout the sales funnel. He explains how LinkedIn can be an effective extension of an existing marketing strategy, why businesses should test an outreach approach before automating it, and when personalization matters most. Nas also explores how AI is reshaping marketing, the growing importance of founder-led authority, and why businesses need to balance technology with genuine human connection as they scale.

Key Takeaways:

→ Strong lead generation starts with a compelling offer and a clearly defined ideal customer profile.

→ When traffic is not converting, the solution is to pinpoint the exact point in the funnel where prospects are dropping off.

→ LinkedIn works best as an additional distribution channel for marketing strategies that are already producing results elsewhere.

→ Providing useful free content or value can help build engagement before asking a prospect for a meeting or a sale.

→ Founder-led businesses can differentiate themselves by establishing authority through their unique experience, results, knowledge, and perspective.

Nas Vou is the founder of Do It Digital, an award-winning agency that helps founders and service businesses win more clients through LinkedIn outreach funnels, web design, and SEO. Episode 1324: Building Real Connection in a Digital World with Lea Rosenberry30 Sep 202600:18:30

What if the key to growing online is not attracting the largest audience but creating a place where people genuinely feel connected and want to return?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Lea Rosenberry, Head of Community at Chatter Social, who explains how the platform evolved from a content-focused social network into a community-first environment centered on live interaction and meaningful connection. She explains why community can be more valuable than audience size, how data helps identify the behaviors that keep people engaged, and why making newcomers feel welcome is critical to long-term retention. Lea also explores live podcasting, virtual events, creator monetization, personalized onboarding, and how Chatter Social hopes to foster more authentic human connection in an increasingly AI-driven digital world.

Key Takeaways:

→ Strong online communities are built on connection and belonging, not on simply producing more content.

→ Features such as video, live rooms, screen sharing, and groups can help users find and connect with people who share their interests.

→ Community platforms can become more effective by using real user behavior and engagement data to guide product decisions.

→ Podcasts can become more interactive when hosts bring live audiences into the experience and invite listeners to join the conversation.

→ Creator monetization tools, such as peer-to-peer tips, can help increase both engagement and platform retention.

Episode 1323: Grow Your Brand With Ice-T and the OG Network with Rachel Renee28 Sep 202600:16:54

Creating great content can build an audience, but owning the rights, distribution, and the business behind that content can create far greater long-term value.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Rachel Renee, Founder and CEO of GOAT MOVES INC., who explains how the OG Network is building a streaming platform that gives independent creators greater access to distribution, clearer agreements, and more control over their intellectual property. She explains why ownership matters in the creator economy, how licensing and distribution can turn content into a long-term asset, and why millions of views alone do not necessarily translate into sustainable wealth. Rachel also explores brand integration, programmatic marketing, international content, and how businesses can participate in original productions to reach audiences across multiple media channels.

Key Takeaways:

→ Independent creators can benefit from understanding not only how to produce content but also how licensing, distribution, and ownership work.

→ Owning intellectual property lets creators continue benefiting if a piece of content becomes popular months or even years after its original release.

→ Streaming platforms can differentiate themselves by creating simpler processes and more accessible pathways for independent productions to reach audiences.

→ Strong distribution requires reaching audiences across multiple channels, not just uploading content and hoping viewers will discover it.

→ Inclusive media platforms can create opportunities for creators from diverse cultures, countries, and content categories rather than focusing on a single, narrow audience.

Rachel Renee is a CEO, investor, entrepreneur, media executive, and business strategist whose work spans technology, media, consulting, commerce, and cultural innovation. As CEO of Chameleon Holdings, she oversees a growing portfolio of businesses that connect people, ideas, and opportunities through entrepreneurship, storytelling, and emerging technologies.

Episode 1322: The Business Behind a Profitable Bar with Chris Schneider23 Sep 202600:18:28

A packed bar can look wildly successful from the outside while quietly losing money behind the scenes.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Chris Schneider, Bar Business Coach, who shares why many bars struggle not because they lack customers, but because owners often lack the financial systems, pricing discipline, labor management, and business acumen needed to protect margins. He explains the importance of prime cost, hiring for attitude rather than experience, creating a memorable guest experience, and making dozens of small operational improvements that collectively improve the bottom line. Chris also explores how AI can support back-office operations, why owners need to rely on data instead of instinct alone, and what he would change first when turning around a struggling neighborhood bar.

Key Takeaways:

→ A bar can be packed with customers and still lose money if pricing, labor, entertainment, and other operating costs are not properly managed.

→ Hospitality businesses often struggle when passion and operational experience are not paired with strong business and financial skills.

→ Prime cost, which combines labor and the cost of goods sold, is one of the most important metrics bar and restaurant owners need to monitor.

→ A clean, well-maintained restroom can strongly influence how guests perceive the overall cleanliness and quality of the entire establishment.

→ Delivering an exceptional guest experience can generate more valuable word-of-mouth marketing than many traditional advertising methods.

Chris Schneider bridges three critical areas in hospitality: operations, financial systems, and education. A former bar owner, he learned firsthand how to be profitable by managing neighborhood bars where every decision impacts the bottom line. His experience at Intuit as a QuickBooks Live Manager exposed him to patterns across thousands of small businesses, revealing that success comes from better systems and smarter use of financial data.

Chris later taught hospitality at Ivy Tech, where he refined his ability to turn complex challenges into repeatable systems. He now coaches bar owners using his MCC Framework—Mindset, Concept, Culture—to improve profitability and operations.

He hosts The Bar Business Podcast, reaching listeners in 100+ countries, and is the author of multiple industry books. Chris helps independent bar owners build profitable, system-driven businesses that align with their vision.

Episode 1321: How to Make a Billion in Nine Steps with Sir Richard Harpin21 Sep 202600:18:10

What if the biggest thing holding your business back isn't the market, but how you are leading it?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Sir Richard Harpin, Founder and Former CEO of HomeServe and Sunday Times Bestselling Author, who shares the lessons he learned building HomeServe from a £50,000 startup into a global company that ultimately sold for more than $4.1 billion. He explains why copying proven models can be smarter than chasing originality, how founders become bottlenecks, and why hiring the right leadership is essential when a company reaches its next stage of growth. Richard also explores the difference between real growth opportunities and shiny-object distractions, the importance of acting quickly on talent decisions, and the traits he looks for when investing in entrepreneurs and scaling companies.

Key Takeaways:

→ Testing a business model at small scale before expanding can reveal whether the economics are strong enough to support growth.

→ Entrepreneurs can lose momentum when they keep adding ideas instead of staying focused on the opportunity already working.

→ Businesses often get stuck around the $10 million to $15 million revenue range when owners become distracted and stop fully developing their strongest business.

→ One of the hardest growth decisions for a founder is hiring someone better suited to run the day-to-day business.

→ International expansion often requires local leadership because credibility, relationships, and buying behavior differ by market.

Sir Richard Harpin is an entrepreneur, investor, and business leader who co-founded HomeServe in 1993 with a £50,000 investment. HomeServe was built to make home repairs easier and more reliable. It grew from a fragile startup into a multinational FTSE 100 company serving millions of customers before being sold in 2023 for £4.1 billion.

Raised in Yorkshire, Richard began trading as a child and, as a teenager, built and sold his first business. His leadership philosophy emphasizes focus, disciplined execution, persistence, and close listening to customers.

Today, Richard helps mid-sized companies scale into enduring businesses by investing, writing, and advising founders and leadership teams. A regular columnist for The Sunday Times, he shares lessons shaped by decades of growth, setbacks, and hands-on experience building successful companies.

Episode 1320: The Hidden Constraint Behind Your Business with Brian Ridgway and Abigail Morgan16 Sep 202600:48:15

What if the biggest constraint in your business is not your strategy, team, or marketing, but the underlying beliefs that shape how you experience them all?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Brian D. Ridgway and Abigail Morgan, who present the Level 5 Mentoring framework for examining deeper patterns that can contribute to recurring business struggles, including financial volatility, overwork, difficult clients, hiring challenges, and persistent stress. Brian explains his concept of 100% personal responsibility, the theory of constraints, and the five paradigms he uses to describe how people relate to themselves, their business, and the world around them. Abigail translates the framework into practical business terms, sharing her own experience with financial instability and explaining how greater awareness of underlying patterns can help entrepreneurs approach money, leadership, teams, and growth differently.

Key Takeaways:

→ Financial volatility, overwork, and team issues can signal deeper business trends.

→ Entrepreneurs may fear success because growth brings new responsibilities.

→ Addressing the core constraint can make other strategies more effective.

→ The Level 5 framework outlines five paradigms for viewing life and business.

→ Awareness is the first step toward changing recurring business patterns.

Beyond outdated self-help, endlessly rehashed, superficial “positive thinking” approaches, and incomplete, airy-fairy spiritual approaches lies the next level: The Level 5 Paradigm and “Spellbreak” Technology.

Based on years of personal research, Brian D. Ridgway has unlocked the door to immediate, deep, and lasting transformation. After an abusive childhood, Brian dove into self-help and personal development to improve his life. As program after program failed to deliver the promised transformation, Brian became a self-proclaimed “Self-Help Junkie,” eventually investing more than $300,000 and tens of thousands of hours in his desperate quest for a life that “worked.”

At his lowest, most hopeless point, homeless and suicidal, Brian experienced what he calls his “Miracle Moment,” a single blast of infinite awareness and insight in which he discovered “The Level 5 Paradigm.” His entire life transformed. He went from homeless to living in paradise in Hawaii and has dedicated his life to spreading the “LEVEL 5 TECHNOLOGY” and helping others attain true, lasting personal freedom.

If you’re looking for rehashed, new-age jargon, that’s not what you’ll find with Brian. But if you’re seeking an expert who has “been there, done that” and helps people eliminate the illusion of problems to access their Infinite Intelligence, Brian is the one to call.

Abigail Morgan is the founder of the OCM Method and a soul-led business consultant who helps coaches, therapists, and healers build profitable businesses that align with who they are and how they want to work. As a single mom, dog mom, violinist, intuitive Celtic Seer, and passionate practitioner of embodiment and mind-body-soul work, she brings a deeply holistic perspective to business growth and personal transformation.

She also partners with Maxine Haller, the creator of the MAP Whole Brain Balance Method, to help clients integrate embodiment, mindset, and alignment into how they live, work, market, and grow their businesses.

Episode 1319: College Hunks Hauling Junk: From Beat-Up Van to $300 Million Brand with Nick Friedman14 Sep 202600:24:46

What does it really take to turn a borrowed cargo van and a catchy name into a $300 million franchise?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Kevin Harrington and Seth Greene interview Nick Friedman, Co-Founder and Chairman of College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving, who shares how a college side hustle grew into a nationwide franchise system with roughly 200 franchisees and nearly $300 million in annual sales. He explains why the company expanded from junk removal into moving, what entrepreneurs often misunderstand about franchising, and how strong franchisee relationships helped the brand navigate challenges such as COVID and shifting housing conditions. Nick also discusses bringing in private equity, avoiding entrepreneurial distractions, building an investment thesis, and using books and podcasting to share what he has learned with the next generation of business owners.

Key Takeaways:

→ A simple business idea can become a major brand when entrepreneurs pair a memorable concept with consistent execution over time.

→ Franchising is not passive income because franchise owners rely heavily on ongoing support, coaching, training, systems, and leadership from the franchisor.

→ Businesses considering franchising should ideally demonstrate the economics of multiple locations before attempting to scale through franchisees.

→ Private equity has become increasingly interested in home-service businesses because many essential physical services remain difficult to disrupt with technology.

→ A clear investment thesis helps entrepreneurs evaluate opportunities based on their skills, values, experience, and capacity to contribute more than capital.

Nick Friedman is the co-founder of College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving, an award-winning franchise he launched with his high school friend, Omar Soliman, in a beat-up cargo van. Today, the company has more than 200 franchises worldwide and generates over $300 million in annual sales.

Nick is a two-time Emmy Award-winning producer for Hunks vs. The Hurricanes, which documented the company’s hurricane recovery efforts. He has appeared on Shark Tank and Undercover Boss, and the brand has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Hoarders, and Hoarding.

He is also an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner and the 2024 International Franchise Association Entrepreneur of the Year. Through the company, Nick supports domestic violence survivors with free moves and has helped donate more than six million meals through US Hunger.

Episode 1318: The Secret to an Extraordinary Exit From Your Business with Andy Harris09 Sep 202600:15:24

The difference between a good exit and an extraordinary one may hinge on finding the buyer who sees value others overlook.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Andy Harris, President, North America Strategies, and Managing Director at STS Capital Partners, who explains how entrepreneurs can maximize their businesses' value by looking beyond standard industry multiples and identifying buyers who recognize strategic value in an acquisition. He explains the difference between financial and strategic buyers, why a competitive sale process can yield dramatically different outcomes, and how the right strategic fit can generate a significant premium. Andy also discusses lessons from The Extraordinary Exit and why a successful sale should take into account an owner's financial goals, personal priorities, legacy, and the business's future home.

Key Takeaways:

→ Relying solely on standard industry multiples can cause business owners to leave substantial value on the table.

→ An experienced sell-side advisor can help identify and demonstrate strategic value that a seller may not recognize independently.

→ Running a competitive process can create leverage by giving multiple qualified buyers the opportunity to compete for the business.

→ The highest offer is not always the best when an owner also cares about the company's and its people's future.

→ A successful exit strategy should account for the owner's personal goals, including whether they want to remain involved or leave the business entirely.

Episode 1315: A Smarter Health Plan Based on Your Exact Metabolism with Angelo Poli31 Aug 202600:18:04

What if the reason your health plan keeps failing is not a lack of discipline but a strategy never designed for your body?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Angelo Poli, Founder of MetPro and Author of MetPro: The Science to Transform, who explains why generic diets and standardized fitness advice often fail to deliver sustainable results. He explains how metabolic profiling uses individual data, ongoing feedback, and personalized adjustments to identify which nutrition and fitness strategies will produce the most progress. Angelo also reveals why busy entrepreneurs should rely less on willpower and instead build scientifically informed routines that yield the greatest results with the least wasted time.

Key Takeaways:

→ Every person responds differently to nutrition and exercise.

→ Metabolic profiling assesses a person’s starting point and identifies the specific adjustments needed to improve body composition, energy, and performance.

→ A perceived “slow metabolism” may be influenced by how the body has adapted to a person’s long-term habits.

→ Busy entrepreneurs are often derailed when their schedules become overwhelming, making a reliable routine more valuable than temporary motivation.

→ The most effective health strategy focuses on actions that deliver the greatest return without unnecessary effort.

Angelo Poli is the founder of MetPro and the author of MetPro: The Science to Transform. For more than 20 years, he's helped entrepreneurs, executives, professional athletes, and high performers optimize energy, body composition, performance, and longevity.

His work centers on a simple idea: performance isn't just about training harder. It's about understanding how your metabolism adapts to stress, recovery, fueling, and workload over time. That's why strategies that work at one stage of training often stop working at the next.

After a serious injury left him walking with a cane for nearly a decade, Angelo became obsessed with understanding what truly drives lasting transformation. That pursuit ultimately led to the creation of MetPro and a methodology that has helped more than 20,000 people achieve sustainable results.

Episode 1314: The Six Words That Build a Brand with Bill Schley26 Aug 202600:23:17

The right six words can do more for your brand than 60,000 forgettable words.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Kevin Harrington and Seth Greene interview Bill Schley, CEO and Founder of The Brand Titans USP Master Programs, who explains how microscripts help businesses communicate their unique value in a sentence or fewer. Drawing on lessons from the legendary advertising agency Ted Bates, Bill shares the five rules for an effective unique selling proposition and how to turn that positioning into a memorable problem-solution story. He also reveals why the most powerful brand messages are concise, believable, repeatable, and clearly differentiated from the competition.

Key Takeaways:

→ An effective brand must clearly communicate what the business does that no one else can.

→ Branding has little value if it fails to meaningfully differentiate a company from its competitors.

→ The differentiating benefit must be important to the customer and relevant to a real need.

→ Microscripts are short, memorable phrases that are easy to understand, remember, and repeat.

→ A strong brand story should clearly present a problem, introduce the solution, and explain how the world changes as a result.

Bill Schley is an award-winning branding expert, New York Times bestselling author, and lifelong entrepreneur. He is the originator of the Micro-Script concept in brand communications and is credited by celebrated marketers as the #1 USP expert in the world. Bill began his career as a writer at the legendary Ted Bates Advertising Agency, the original Mad Men agency in New York, where he won a National Effie Award for sales-effective advertising. His highly acclaimed books on branding and marketing are taught by experts worldwide. In addition to his latest book, The Micro-Script Rules: How to Tell Your Story and Differentiate Your Brand in a Sentence or Less, he is the author of The UnStoppables, a New York Times bestseller; Why Johnny Can’t Brand, which won Strategy+Business Magazine’s Top 5 Marketing Books of the Year award; and The Power of 10, an Amazon bestseller.

Episode 1313: Get More Media Coverage with Qwoted with Dan Simon24 Aug 202600:16:16

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Dan Simon, CEO and Co-Founder of Qwoted, who explains how Qwoted connects journalists, podcast producers, writers, and other media professionals with credible expert sources. He also explains how business owners and professionals can improve their chances of securing media coverage by responding quickly, building complete profiles, offering authentic insights, and providing concise, usable quotes. Key Takeaways:

→ Qwoted was created to give journalists access to a much broader and more diverse range of potential sources.

→ Experience in a particular profession, industry, location, or life situation can offer a valuable perspective for a story.

→ Sometimes journalists need personal experience and authentic opinions rather than formal credentials or advanced expertise.

→ Speed is one of the strongest predictors of whether a journalist will use a source’s response.

→ Concise, memorable quotes and unique perspectives are more useful to journalists than lengthy explanations or full white papers.

Dan Simon is the founder and CEO of Qwoted, an online network connecting journalists with expert sources and used by reporters across major newsrooms. Episode 1312: The AI Webinar Concierge Advantage with Sam Chang19 Aug 202600:22:39

What if every webinar registrant received a personalized call at the exact right moment without adding another salesperson to your team?

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Sam Chang, Founder and CEO of VTM Group, who shares how his journey from door-to-door sales and virtual staffing led him to build AutoCaller AI, a voice AI platform that automates sales conversations. He explains how an AI webinar concierge can contact registrants before, during, and after an event to improve attendance, engagement, follow-up, and overall conversion rates. Sam also discusses drop-off recovery, personalized conversations, AI-powered sales agents, and his vision for helping more businesses build scalable webinar funnels.

Key Takeaways:

→ AutoCaller AI automates sales calls while maintaining a realistic tone, personalization, and conversational engagement.

→ Webinar operators often lose potential revenue because they lack the staff to contact every registrant personally.

→ Calling registrants shortly before an event can improve attendance and reduce missed opportunities.

→ AI can contact no-shows five, ten, or fifteen minutes after a webinar starts, encouraging them to join.

→ Post-webinar calls can deliver replays, promote upcoming events, book appointments, or present special offers.

Sam Chang is the founder and CEO of VTM Group, which includes VTMEMBER, a virtual staffing company, and AutoCaller AI, an AI-powered appointment-booking platform. He scaled VTMEMBER from zero to 250 employees in three years, serving clients across North America.

Through AutoCaller AI, Sam helps businesses automate speed-to-lead calling, follow-up, appointment booking, and pipeline reactivation without adding headcount. The platform integrates with GoHighLevel and combines AI voice agents, paid advertising, automated nurture, and trained closers to improve show rates, close rates, and revenue growth.

Before founding VTM Group, Sam helped expand TELUS’s door-to-door sales operation from 25 to 350 representatives and contributed to more than $750 million in revenue. He later developed a nationally adopted sales curriculum and brought advanced sales psychology into AI voice technology.

Episode 1311: How to Build an Eight-Figure Education Business with Justin Montgomery17 Aug 202600:17:17

Your professional expertise could become a scalable asset that generates revenue without requiring more hours from you.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Justin Montgomery, Founder of The Elite Nurse Practitioner, who shares how he went from working as a nurse practitioner to building cash-based medical practices and an eight-figure online education company. He explains how professionals and entrepreneurs can turn specialized knowledge into continuing education courses, build an audience, and create a scalable marketing engine. Justin also reveals why valuable content, strategic outsourcing, and separating income from personal time are essential to building a business that supports financial and location independence.

Key Takeaways:

→ Business ownership does not automatically create freedom if the owner must personally deliver the service.

→ Cash-based business models provide owners with greater control than those dependent on third-party payers.

→ Early failures can provide the experience and insight needed to build a successful, repeatable business model.

→ Building an audience before launching a course creates a stronger foundation for generating initial sales.

→ A scalable education business can create financial independence, location flexibility, and a lasting impact on customers and their families.

Justin Allan Montgomery is the founder of The Elite Nurse Practitioner, a thriving business he launched in 2019 to teach nurse practitioners unique clinical and business skills, empowering them to start their own practices and break free from traditional work environments. Episode 1309: The Next Evolution of the Video Sales Letter with Jon Benson10 Aug 202600:18:18

AI can write faster, but the real breakthrough occurs when it understands the strategy behind the words.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Jon Benson, Copywriter, Entrepreneur, and AI Pioneer, who shares how his direct-response copywriting evolved into building an AI platform for long-form sales copy. He explains why his team focuses on pre-prompting, promptless AI, frameworks, and LLM-agnostic systems rather than basic chatbot-style prompting. Jon also discusses how BNSN AI interviews users like a copywriter would, researches the market, strengthens messaging, and helps marketers create copy designed to convert.

Key Takeaways:

→ BNSN AI was built to help marketers create direct-response copy faster and more efficiently without replacing copywriters.

→ Pre-prompting and promptless AI describe how this platform guides output before a traditional prompt is ever sent.

→ BNSN AI is designed to work with multiple LLMs.

→ The system runs copy through multiple models, settings, and revisions before the user sees the final result.

→ Many AI writing tools struggle because they function as simple skins on top of chatbots rather than as purpose-built copy systems.

Jon Benson is a copywriter, entrepreneur, and AI pioneer whose work has quietly shaped how the world buys online. Best known as the inventor of the Video Sales Letter, a format that became the backbone of modern digital marketing, he has spent decades writing copy that moves people to act—not through manipulation, but through what he calls “persuasion that feels good on both sides.”

In 2010, Jon turned his attention to copywriting software, becoming one of the earliest pioneers at the intersection of AI and sales copy. That work eventually evolved into BNSN, a platform trained exclusively on high-converting marketing campaigns and built for small-business owners who sell good things to good people. BNSN reflects Jon’s core belief that the human element of business—community, coaching, and genuine connection—distinguishes sustainable success from a flash in the pan.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews John R. Bradford III, Founder and CEO of PetScreening, who explains how his property management experience led him to build PetScreening as a more consistent way to manage pet policies in rental housing. Episode 1305: Turn Founder-Led Sales into a Scalable Team with Josh Troy27 Jul 202600:18:43

More leads and more sales calls will not fix a revenue engine that cannot pinpoint where performance is breaking down.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Josh Troy, CEO of The WFS Group, who explains how companies can diagnose whether stalled growth comes from people, systems, sales management, training, lead routing, or an unstructured process. Josh also explains why sales efficiency matters more than surface-level volume, how founders can document their sales knowledge before handing it to a team, and where AI can enhance call analysis and revenue operations.

Key Takeaways:

→ Why most companies misdiagnose sales problems.

→ Sales problems usually fall into two categories: people issues or system issues.

→ Better lead routing can increase revenue and profitability.

→ Founders should document objection handling, talk tracks, winning and lost calls, and their sales process from the start.

→ A founder who relies solely on personal credibility and instinct may struggle to translate sales success to a growing team.

Josh Troy started his first video marketing agency at 21, building it from the ground up through 100% outbound sales. Early on, he developed a belief that outbound sales is the closest thing to generating “money out of thin air,” which led him to expand his expertise into direct response inbound marketing as well.

Over the past decade, and with deep experience across both outbound and inbound sales motions as well as paid media, Josh has developed a unique ability to drive rapid sales growth through talent acquisition and development engines, cultivate high-performance cultures, and build data-backed sales systems designed for aggressive scale.

He is known for building integrity-driven, high-intensity sales teams and architecting scalable sales infrastructures for hyper-growth businesses. Episode 1302: The Insurance Coverage Most Drivers Overlook: Why “Full Coverage” May Not Protect You with Brent Couture15 Jul 202600:19:04

An accident can disrupt far more than a vehicle, and the decisions made in the first days can shape medical care, financial recovery, and a family’s future.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Brent Couture, an attorney at Couture Law P.A., who explains why listening is central to effective representation, the mistakes people make when managing a claim on their own, and the questions attorneys must ask to assess liability, causation, and damages. Brent also discusses why underinsured motorist coverage matters in Florida, what clients should expect from their attorney-client relationship, and how recent tort reform has shortened the time available to pursue certain claims.

Key Takeaways:

→ Even a seemingly minor crash can create a ripple effect across medical care, work, family responsibilities, and finances.

→ Every personal injury case requires careful scrutiny of liability, causation, and damages.

→ Clients should be open about symptoms and prior medical conditions so that an attorney can understand the full impact of the collision.

→ The term “full-coverage” can be misleading because state-minimum insurance limits may not adequately protect someone following a serious crash.

→ Effective representation requires understanding how an injury affects a client’s routines, caregiving responsibilities, work, travel, and quality of life.

Brent A. Couture earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, where he also lettered for the intercollegiate volleyball team. Episode 1287: Why Once-a-Year Accounting Fails with Peter Holtz25 May 202600:15:42

Most business owners do not lose control all at once. They lose it slowly, one missed number, one poor structure, and one reactive tax decision at a time.

In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Peter Holtz, President of Peter Holtz CPA, who explains why traditional once-a-year accounting often leaves owners overpaying taxes, missing deductions, and making last-minute decisions that undermine long-term growth. He also explains how proactive planning, accurate books, smart business structure, margin awareness, and the right advisory team can help entrepreneurs regain control and build stronger, more profitable businesses.

Key Takeaways:

→ Business owners need proactive tax planning, not year-end panic attacks.

→ Accurate books are the foundation for better tax decisions.

→ The wrong business structure can cost owners money.

→ A good CPA should do more than fill out boxes on a tax return.

→ Tax strategy should align with the owner's, business's, and family's goals.

Peter Holtz is a seasoned CPA, entrepreneur, and tax strategist who helps business owners keep more of what they earn through proactive, year-round tax planning. With more than 20 years of experience, including time in Big 4 accounting and CFO roles for multiple companies, Peter has seen how traditional, once-a-year accounting often leaves business owners overpaying and underprepared.

After recognizing the need for a more strategic approach, Peter built multiple eight-figure accounting firms designed to help business owners outsmart the IRS without relying on aggressive loopholes or unnecessary risk. He works with owners earning $500K to $10M+ to reduce taxes, protect wealth, and turn their CPA relationship into a true profit center.
