Any event whatsoever that would require the USSS to spread their forces thin would likely be an event of gargantuan significance. INCIDENT CAUSES INJURIES AT TRUMP EVENT.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Middle East: This afternoon, following the second wave of Israeli IED attacks throughout Lebanon, Israeli forces announced the creation of a northern front campaign, and a shifting of resources to the northern border with Lebanon. Local Israeli media has claimed that the ground invasion of Lebanon has begun, however it is not clear as to if this indicates a total ground invasion of Lebanon, or a more limited border incursion. AC: Israeli media is often exuberant in their descriptions of military activities, so even if Israeli media is claiming an invasion is occurring, the scale of such remains uncertain. Either way, this confirms with as much certainty as we’re going to get that the targeting efforts of the past two days are part of a larger campaign that is yet to come. More immediately, Israeli aerial targeting of dozens of locations around Lebanon is already occurring and has been fairly regular throughout the day (alongside Hezbollah’s rocket attacks). Whatever Israel has planned as part of a larger operation will likely take place very soon as it’s clear that a defacto state of war already exists between Israel and Lebanon. -HomeFront- Arizona: Reports have begun to mount concerning a possible incident at Trump’s rally in Tucson last week. Local media reports the hospitalization of several people (some reports claim as many as 20 people have been hospitalized), all due to vision problems and eye irritation that began to manifest shortly after Trump’s rally. Some victims have reported temporary blindness. The victims of this incident were all congregated together on stage, seated in the area to Trump’s right. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Though the information sources regarding the Tucson incident are few, considering the current extremely high-risk threat environment a little leeway must be granted; Speculation is all that is available to the public to assess future threats in this specific case. Local media reports suggest this may have been due to exposure to some sort of chemical weapon. This is supported by the treatment efforts undertaken by local medical facilities, which treated the victims for varying types of exposure to hazardous chemicals. However, considering the environmental sensors that should be in use by the USSS, this incident probably did not involve the use of Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA). However, these symptoms are in line with other deliberate targeting efforts. High-power infrared lasers, invisible to the unaided human eye, can cause immediate blindness and burning sensations similar to what the victims reported. This could easily be medically diagnosed with an eye examination, which will be important to consider as more information becomes public regarding this incident. More broadly, this incident aligns with historic reports of Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) use, with the symptoms experienced by the victims aligning somewhat with those of Havana Syndrome. SEARCH FOR INTERSTATE GUNMAN IN KENTUCKY CONTINUES.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Russia: Ukraine conducted another significant drone attack on Moscow, resulting in the death of one woman. Russia claims to have downed 144 drones in varying regions of Russia overnight. AC: This continues the increase in long-range attacks by Ukraine, as their options have become limited by their own advance in Kursk. Over the past few months and weeks, the attacks carried out by Ukraine on obviously civilian structures (such as residential apartment buildings), have also become more common. United Kingdom: This afternoon, a snap vote in the House of Commons resulted in a majority of MPs voting to cut this year’s Winter Fuel Payment for most of the country, as part of budgetary constraints. As of this vote, the cuts to this program will go ahead. -HomeFront- Kentucky: The search for interstate shooting suspect Joseph Couch continues in the vicinity of Exit 49 of I-75. Schools remain closed and local authorities continue to urge locals to remain vigilant. At least three of the victims remain in critical condition as a result of the attack. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: As the search area for Joseph Couch is located in extremely rugged and remote terrain, significant challenges remain in locating him. Additionally, some details released by authorities indicate that he had initially planned to conduct the attack, then take his own life. If he did follow through on the final part of his plan, locating his body will be very difficult and might not happen anytime soon. Aerial assets are not particularly helpful in locating a single person through extremely thick overhead canopy, and in rugged terrain require being almost directly over the target. Thermal imaging is helpful to a degree, but also not as helpful as one might imagine in thick vegetation, or in situations where the target is no longer producing a heat signature. Local media is highlighting Couch’s prior military service as a means of insinuating that he is a Rambo-like figure. However, considering the likely domestic incident that led up to this attack, it’s not likely that Couch has made preparations for evading capture in the long term. In the United Kingdom, though a foreign concept for Americans, the Winter Fuel Payment is a well-known governmental benefit relied upon by British pensioners (retirees) as a means of helping elderly citizens with winter heating costs. As energy costs in the U.K. are known to be a major concern for low-income elderly citizens, this benefit is a big deal throughout the British Isles and has become even more critical due to the extreme costs of energy that have fallen upon the European continent due to the Ukrainian War. As such, any effort to restrict this benefit is usually the end of one’s political career due to this benefit being a critical part of British culture; historically, this is simply not a benefit to trifle with politically, as far as citizens are concerned. However, over the past few months of PM Starmer’s government, this benefit has been on the chopping block almost in its entirety, with only a handful of people remaining eligible for the benefit as of this year. This afternoon, Conservative MPs attempted to call a vote to halt the axing of this program, a vote which failed 348 to 228. As this vote was not even close, plans to cut this benefit for most people probably will go ahead. Labour MPs are probably riding on the recent pay raise given to the state pension program to help lessen the blow, however these complexities are unlikely to matter much to the average taxpayer. With regards to special operations, when a politician of any nation suggests sending forces to a location openly, behind closed doors those forces have probably already been there for some time….the “secret” deployment of special forces from every NATO member to Ukraine has been the most open secret of the entire war (though most of these troops likely have been in more of an “advisory role”, to varying degrees). This tactic was also allegedly used by a separate burglary ring which was recently discovered in Malibu. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: In addition to increasingly more capable Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) tactics being used by everyone from routine thieves to foreign intelligence agencies over the past few years, more substantially violent encounters are being reported in the commission of crimes. This has been an unsurprising trend over the past few years, but continues to increase in severity and significance. This has been most clearly demonstrated via several viral incidents that have been observed around the U.S. this summer, in which the burglary victims were shot and/or attacked, even after complying with the thieves. As such, careful observation and situational awareness must be maintained in a time where no quarter is given by regular street criminals, with extreme violence being used in the commission of even the smallest crime. The pilot reportedly ejected safely before impact. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Originally the IDF claimed that the strike in Gaza didn’t happen, or happened in a different location, however Israeli PM Netanyahu directly contradicted these statements by stating the strike was a mistake. Allegedly, the large amount of CIVCAS was due to munitions causing a fuel tank to explode, owing to the large number of burn victims witnessed following the strike. At the moment, it’s too soon to tell, but vastly more ships and aircraft would be needed for an invasion to be imminent, along with many other indications and warnings. NORTH CAROLINA SHOOTING HIGHLIGHTS INCREASED THREAT ENVIRONMENT.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Far East: This morning China announced major exercises in the waters around Taiwan. China’s exercise (Joint Sword-2024A) has so far involved a handful of ships carrying out demonstrations and joint maneuvers in the Taiwan Strait. AC: A few days ago, Lai Ching-te was sworn in as Taiwan’s President. As such, this exercise almost certainly related to political events in Taiwan. Nevertheless, Taiwanese forces have responded in kind, deploying substantial defenses (such as mobile ASCM launchers) at critical locations around the island. -HomeFront- North Carolina: Local media has become aware of a suspicious shooting incident that took place earlier this month. Originally kept quiet due to the investigation, details were released last night surrounding a shooting death involving a Special Operations soldier in Moore County. On May 3rd, local authorities were dispatched to a residence in Carthage in response to a trespassing complaint. Allegedly, the 911 caller also noted that the individual was taking pictures of their residence. After some time, an altercation occurred resulting in the trespassing individual being shot multiple times after allegedly becoming aggressive. Local authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed as Ramzan Daraev. The shooter’s name has been withheld for the moment, but has been identified as a member of the Special Operations community. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The details of the Moore County shooting raise many red flags. Originally, Daraev was said to be an employee of Utilities One, a local electrical utility subcontractor. However at the time of the shooting he was located hundreds of feet onto the caller’s property, was not wearing a uniform, and did not have any identification or equipment suggesting any official work for a utility company. Local media claims Daraev was from Chicago, however he was originally born in Chechnya. This is supported by the foreign identity documents that were reportedly found at the scene. Furthermore, some media sources claim that an accomplice fled the scene in a rental car following the shooting. As this is a developing incident that took place in a highly sensitive community, there is absolutely more to this story than meets the eye. As a reminder, a very common tactic for foreign intelligence agents is to obtain employment with an entity that grants semi-legitimate access to sensitive locations, such as private residences within a well-known Special Operations community. Factoring in other trends, and with the understanding that examining events of this magnitude and secrecy must rely on quite a bit of speculation, the tens of thousands of military aged males entering the southern border daily have highlighted the clear and present dangers to American society. It has become extremely clear over the past few months that foreign intelligence activities on U.S. soil have reached heights reminiscent of (and almost certainly surpassing) the height of the Cold War. Considering the 2022 mysterious electrical substation attack in the exact same area as the recent Moore County shooting, it is likely that the shadow war on American soil is continuing to escalate to include targeting the personal lives and family members of the Special Operations community. Incidents surrounding security breaches at U.S. military bases have also quietly been increasing over the past few months. For instance, Marine Corps Base Quantico quietly revealed that on May 3rd, the same day as the Moore County shooting, two Jordanian nationals attempted to breach the main gate while driving a box truck. Washington D.C. – The White House authorizes the release of 1 million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast Strategic Reserve allegedly to combat high gas prices. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: This strategic reserve release (amid reports of a highly kinetic hurricane season looming) is probably intended to remove strategic assets rather than reduce gas prices. Gas prices during this year’s Memorial Day travel weekend are unlikely to be affected much by a strategic release either. Per the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), last year the United States averaged using around 376 million gallons of gasoline per day. Considering the context of Biden himself verbally stating in a CNN interview on the same exact day that American bombs are being used to target civilians in Gaza in violation of U.S. and international law, this is a very serious implication that could not be a more direct message to the American people. Even though the text of this bill hasn’t been published, the intent and statements about it indicate this bill is already illegal in at least a dozen different ways. But, as that fact has never stopped any bill from eventually becoming law, even ridiculous proposals such as this one must be taken seriously. Now, only time will tell how true these claims were, or will be. In short, this story may have been “Russian disinformation” as France claims…but that doesn’t mean that elements of the story aren’t true. Middle East: The Israeli invasion of Rafah has begun amid very high diplomatic tensions surrounding the proposed ceasefire agreement. Hamas rocket and IED attacks in the north have allegedly intensified following IDF combat actions in the south. IDF forces have conducted a pincer movement along the Philadelphi Corridor, seizing the Rafah Border Crossing and assaulting north into the suburbs of Rafah. -HomeFront- USA: Various protests and counter protests continue at various universities throughout the nation. So far, diplomats are attempting to mitigate the situation, while defense officials do what they can to ease this transition. Though the strategic value of the Agadez base is quite significant to American military operations throughout the Sahel, from the information that has become public surrounding this scandal, the DoD prerogative of waiting out the storm and somehow cutting a deal with Niger seems to be faltering with each passing day. Many sources on the ground claim that the mice have round unidentified red marks on their backs, possibly indicating the use in some sort of scientific research. In any case, the released mice are the breed commonly used for research purposes. Photos and videos of the incident corroborate these claims, however the quality is not good enough on most of the media to determine any solid details of the markings on the mice. It is not currently known if faculty have reported any mice missing that were part of any research projects. Visual geolocation of the raw video evidence provided on social media indicates that the backpack was placed in the vicinity of grid: 11SLT6697371102. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Though details are extremely sketchy and unconfirmed, this incident is worthy of close and immediate attention (even without knowing all of the details) due to the potential for this to be a serious biological incident. This incident also raises many questions and highlights many concerns regarding the potential for very serious incidents to occur elsewhere at this time of heightened risk. Unfortunately, almost all of the sources for content surrounding this incident are protesters living at the UCLA encampment, and therefore not the most reliable or trustworthy sources for information. Much of the raw data making the rounds on social media is also circular reporting, and therefore not helpful. Nevertheless, the potential impact of this action presents a potentially exceptionally grave risk to national security, and is absolutely worthy of investigation by CBRNE specialists at the first opportunity. Local protesters indicate that authorities are aware of the incident, and at least two security guards witnessed the act in its entirety. In any case, this act is not something one normally does in the spirit of good fellowship, and tends to raise the pucker-factor considerably, considering all factors. Many people are put-off by the nature of the protests all around, forgetting the national context and high tensions that mandate the more severe possibilities being considered. If mice were indeed injected with a mystery substance, then set loose intentionally into a protest encampment, this incident could rapidly become a very serious problem. Therefore, as terrifying as the prospect seems, assuming the worst-case scenario (while hoping for the most likely scenario) is always operationally prudent, until more information becomes available to put minds at ease. The potential for serious incidents occurring at these encampments is exceptionally high, and compounded by the fact that demonstrators have cornered themselves as unreliable sources, and police are not inclined to help them or break any speed records during an investigation of activities within the encampments. UCLA is not publicly known to conduct infectious disease research using lab mice. However, nothing suggests the mice actually came from a lab at UCLA. This would be the first common-sense assessment at any other time, but considering all facts and currently developing situations, we must remember the recent discovery of illegal CCP-linked biolabs in this exact region of the country. However, if the Hague becomes involved to the point of issuing arrest warrants this will continue to highlight the vast differences in the style of warfare that Israel engages in. As it stands, there are very few public movements who do not support Israel’s actions as they pertain to the Geneva Conventions, but also do not support a global intifada or Islamic jihad. There are absolutely zero protests around the United States that desire to call attention to Israel’s actions in Gaza, without simultaneously and immediately turning into a protest supporting a global jihad. Ohio: This afternoon a large fire broke out at a chemical manufacturing plant in Akron. As almost all climate activist groups in the United States resort to violence at the first opportunity, the implication of such a program is quite clear. This means that per the definitions and legalese of the law that was passed, TikTok may already fall under the category of being an American company anyway. While the CCP influence (and undoubted surveillance) is palpable on the TikTok platform, it’s unlikely that China would seek to invest such overwhelming surveillance infrastructure in a system that can be easily banned with the stroke of a pen. Consequently, it’s unlikely that any legal or Congressional action on the matter will have any impact on American’s use of TikTok at all. In fact, the banning of technology that is already easy to circumvent will probably have the opposite intended effect. Hey everyone, as I am compiling all of your questions for the upcoming Q&A video, one really stood out to me as requiring a bit more time and deliberate thought to explain. That question lies with how important radio is, and how one should prioritize investing in a hobby that is quite difficult to get started in.
