ROTA are launching a brand new podcast show ‘Talking About Race’.
We will be hosting expert guests from across the anti-racism space to discuss the issues facing Black and Global Majority communities across the UK and beyond.
For our first episode, to be published at 5pm on 9 January 2025 where we will be joined by Lady Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, the Co-Founder and Chief Executive of UK Black Pride, and Alba Kapoor, Head of Policy at the Runnymede Trust, to discuss Black History Month, along with wider issues around the ways in which Black histories are discussed, marginalised, and misrepresented in the UK.

Dame Marie has over 20 years of NHS Board experience, and is currently the Chair of the NHS North East London Integrated Care System, Chair of the NHS Race and Health Observatory and an Associate Non-Executive Director for the UK Health Security Agency.
Chris Frederick is a suicide attempt survivor, global citizen, lived experience advisor and, in his own words, mad Star Wars fan. Focusing on the unique needs of Black men experiencing suicidality and mental health challenges in the UK through Project Soul Stride.
The guests discuss one of the most pressing issues that our communities are facing: mental health inequalities.

ROTA launched Brick by Brick to confront racial injustice in housing.
