Indy month rolls on with Roll Film and we are reviewing the classic indy film Swingers. This movie launched some amazing careers, it manages to be funny and heartfelt at the same time. We hope this and all of our independent reviews inspire future filmmakers to get out and create!

Welcome to Independent Film Month all May on Roll Film and we are kicking this month off with an amazing episode featuring writer/director/actor Seven Martini! We couldn't be more excited to have him on and share how he came up with this romantic comedy of errors that draws from his own personal experience for his 2025 film BitterSweet. The winter games are upon us and the Roll Film crew could think of no better theme for this month than For The Gold February! All month will be reviewing movies that revolve around the winter games. The Roll Film crew knew to tackle this horror/comedy masterpiece we'd need one of our best guests ever, so we got C Thane Dixon to come back to discuss all the wonderful things about this satire movie. We're back and after our break it's time to start SPOOKY SEASON! For our first scary episode the Roll Film crew watched Hulu's new No One Will Save You. This SciFi horror movie it's a master class in show don't tell, but is it good? Will anyone save you from our review? Take a listen and find out!

Well turle talk comes to and end. Wish it was with a bang, but it's more of a valiant effort. The Roll Film is joined by Bill Bader and this guy knows TMNT! Well, we've made it to the modern era of TMNT and it did not start with a bang. Thankfully we have another film expert, Ben Mooney, to join the Roll Film crew to discuss just how much this Michael Bay produced disaster got wrong.

Well, like most good things John Candyuary comes to an end and Roll Film thought it was fitting to do his last released film after his passing. Candian Bacon was documentarian Michael Moore's firsts attempt at making a comedy movie. The policites are pretty heavy handed but many jokes land. And whether or not you decide to watch it after listening to our review we hope you continue to revisit all that John Candy gave us. See you next month!

Couldn't do John Candyuary without reviewing Spaceballs! This film means so much to so many, our generation grew up repeating the jokes to one another, watching basic cable versions and looking forward to the sequel. Mel Brooks masterfully captures whats fun and silly about sci-fi, so hopefully you find our review just as endearing.

What better way to celebrate Father's Day this year by reviewing our next superhero movie with our sons!? The Roll Film crew and their spawn review the new Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and talk about the continuation of Miles Morales' journey as the web slinging hero.
