Lewis and Elliot join us today from their award winning movie podcast to delve into how they decided on this great concept and to talk through some of their favourite stories and anecdotes from all their research. But first we discuss Alan Partridge.

We caught up with Peter on his recent cinema experiences and delve into everything we have seen this year in this bumper episode. We discuss behind the scenes stories on movie sets and when Kev and Marina briefly worked together on a couple of film projects. Marina talks about her passion for the job, as well as the pressures that also come in this high paced industry, alongside the difficulty faced and overcome of often being the only female in the crew which has changed over the last 10 years. Her main role is the Focus Puller which is a highly skilled and critical job, as errors in focus can be expensive to reshoot. We discuss how to get into the industry and how important this role is for the overall feel and visual language of any movie. We also look into her fun fashion sense and the satisfaction and benefits that working in the movie industry provides.

T2 is back in the cinema which prompts this discussion as it is a classic 90s action movie and the quintessential Schwarzenegger performance. We have all seen it so many times but we were too young to see in the cinema first time round. Kev managed to catch it recently on the big screen which reignites all the 90s childhood memories of watching this when we were too young. We feel this is even better than we remember and not just a standard action movie, it is so much more.

James is a big fan of this podcast so we invited them on to see who could say the most inappropriate jokes. I think we all lost! This episode has severe teasing and occasional bad language with questionable themes so please listen with caution and even less judgement than usual. This was a treat to let loose and be silly but don't worry the main themes are still movies and TV shows and we have a few serious conversations. Stories about Tattoos, Bluey, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Street Fighter, Animated Movies, the Alien Universe, Jack Reacher and Charlie Sheen.

Kirstie runs an Instagram page called 'Kirstie's Weekly Revue' which has insightful and funny reviews of new movies. She with Kev and Rage Whale take part in a friendly online community of movie reviewers who talk and share thoughts in respectful ways. We discuss her thoughts on recent releases of 2025 and then about her job as a Radio DJ for Radio Warrington especially with Eurovision 2025 currently happening. Kirstie is very charismatic and funny leading to some great conversations around Marvel, Trailers, Nostalgia and the emotional and controversial scenes in Disney Cartoons.

This is a special episode today as our guest Emma is interested in psychology, therapy, philosophy and social media/marketing which gives today a new vibe. With her subtle expertise she gets all 3 of us to open up about things we wouldn't have normally mentioned and makes us comfortable to be vulnerable and share some interesting stories. Some deep conversations but always with our trademark levity at times. Kev met up with Emma recently and she convinced him to go to the cinema to see Inside Out 2 which has hidden messages for the viewer that are actually PHD level therapy explained to younger viewers. This was an enjoyable time spent with the fun yet calming influence of our guest.

This episode sucks, quite literally as Kev and James explain the ways they used a hoover today, exciting stuff eh? Kev is recovering from a weekend away in Liverpool with friend JD where they did Beatles tourist things such as visiting their houses, going to an exhibition and a pub crawl in the famous Mathew Street ending with Live Music in the Cavern. We mainly discuss the new Beetlejuice movie which has had mixed reviews as well as the new Blumhouse Horror movie afrAId and new Netflix movie Rebel Ridge.
