Calling all you conscious and caring service providers who want to increase your income, show up more consistently, and share messages that matter! This is the place where values spark action and where we celebrate our paths toward purpose and progress. It’s also where we talk about brand messaging strategy, brand values, and all the other ways to make your business better. Hi! I’m Ashlee Sang, a values-aligned brand messaging strategist and marketing consultant, wife and mama, thrifter and traveler. As my business has evolved since 2019, I’ve met some amazing women along the way. And a common theme that keeps popping up is that these multi-passionate, super experienced, and really ambitious entrepreneurs have a hard time talking about themselves and connecting the dots between their past experiences and the vision they’re working toward now. So, what’s my vision? For all of us to live out our values in everything we do. Because when you’re clear on your brand values, you’re able to stand up for what you believe in and stand out in all the best ways. That’s the goal of my brand messaging framework and this podcast—to equip business owners to take confident, meaningful action so that their business not only feels good, it also does good. Each week, you’ll be part of deep conversations for and with smart, strong women. I cover brand messaging strategy and my guests touch on every other aspect of running an online business. We share anecdotes and advice based on where we come from and where we’re going…and sometimes even what we’re going through. It’s part personal, part professional—basically good humans doing good business. Thanks for being here! And remember: your message matters. Practice makes progress, so take the time to reflect on how your values-aligned decisions, actions, projects, and communities make a powerful mark on your business and your potential for impact. Introducing Yourself With Confidence

Episode 63

mardi 4 juin 2024Duration 20:55

Today we’re exploring (and finding solutions to) the question: Why is it so hard to talk about ourselves and our work? We’re unpacking how to talk to real people about what you do and why it matters.

On a client call, at a dinner party, at a networking event, we find ourselves feeling flustered and ramble-y when inevitably asked the question: So, what do you do?

Enter: the elevator pitch.

This little blurb captures your big ideas with just a few words. It gives you the clarity to make a memorable first impression, no matter the context.

So that you have the confidence to introduce yourself and and your brand in order to get the values-aligned visibility you want—aka become known and “put yourself out there” on your own terms and connect on a human-to-human level.

Committing To Consistency Amidst Constant Change

Episode 61

mardi 7 mai 2024Duration 11:44

Like everyone else, my business contracts and expands with my capacity, which is such a gift, but also a huge source of stress and guilt. Especially when it comes to being consistent.

Because of course, the market will change. Your passions and skills will change. Your capacity and season of life will change.

And if the only constant is change, then what’s the point of consistency? That’s what we’re unpacking in today’s episode! (Plus, a big personal announcement tucked in there!)

Owning What You Choose To Do with Bola Sokunbi

Episode 60

mardi 23 avril 2024Duration 48:50

I’m so excited to chat with Bola Sokunbi, 4-time bestselling author and Founder & CEO of Clever Girl Finance. Bola is a personal finance educator and speaker, a comp sci and tech employee turned media mogul, and a wife and mama of twins, which actually shines through pretty prominently in our interview.

I really appreciate her examples from both everyday life and from her massively successful entrepreneurial journey in relation to her values, her quest to leave a legacy of impact, and her personal development along the way. Ultimately, she encourages us to own what we choose to do and back ourselves up with knowledge as we grow. She advocates for using listening skills as a tool to get insight from data, our team, supporters, and especially the people we serve. And to care ourselves, even when we have tons of passions or responsibilities vying for our time and attention.
