Early concepts and surveys for Torino Regional Park were designed and permitted in 2007, but because of the Great Recession, plans were put on hold. Fast forward 16 years and -- building on what was learned during the initial design -- the project team is full steam ahead with what would be the City’s first regional park. On Episode 6, Maureen talks with Parks Administrator Kelly Boatwright about the master plan, design and next steps for the 200-acre park. Kelly also shares feedback from residents about what they want to see there, including a playground, a pump track, paved trails, nature trails, water features, a dog park and more.
