The stop-and-go science of traffic light coordination in Port St. Lucie

Quite often, people think the coordination of traffic signals on the main corridors of Port St. Lucie means they'll hit a green light every time, but that's not the case.
Many factors can affect timing, and on Episode 47, we learn the ins and outs of the City's adaptive signal coordination system from Traffic Operations Administrator Paul Johnson and how it helps -- in real time -- to make traveling through PSL a little easier.
Also joining us is Tom Salvador, the City's CIP & Sales Tax Project Group Manager, who tells us how the data his team collects from the traffic system helps to make decisions about where road improvements are needed the most.

Here's how we update our comprehensive plan, the roadmap to our City's future

Our comprehensive plan sets forth a vision for our City's future and provides a roadmap of how to get there. It outlines things like how, where and when to develop, redevelop or preserve land; identifies the infrastructure needed to support growth; and plans for recreational amenities desired by the community.
It's one of our City's most important documents.
The City of Port St. Lucie is currently in the process of updating its Comp Plan, and on Episode 43 of PSL On The Mic, Planning & Zoning Director Mary Savage-Dunham and Pat Tyjeski, a planning consultant with Inspire Placemaking Collective, break down the process and tell us how resident input is an integral part of the update.
