With the unprecedented rise in interest rates, many are seeing the Bank Of England's attempts to curb inflation as a new financial crisis. In this episode, Simon tells you everything you need to know, and what to expect.

Simon answers the question - why are so many landlords selling up in 2023, and with the current disruption in the market, is it really still a good time to be investing?

In 2015, the Conservative government announced plans to change the way landlords and investors are taxed through Section 24. It was phased in over four years and means that if you own property in your own name, and have mortgages, you pay a lot more tax on the income you make through your properties.
For the last 12 years we have had incredibly low interest rates, so people have made very good cashflow. Now that interest rates have risen, that cashflow has been severely tightened, and in many cases throttled away completely.

Simon examines the Renter Reform Bill, and talks about what it could mean in the world of property investing, for you as investors, and for your tenants.
