In today’s Procurement in 5 minutes, I am thrilled to be joined by Robert Semethy, the CPO at Erste Group Bank.
Robert has been in procurement for over three decades and believes that training is vital to procurement’s growth. But, despite the importance of skills development in procurement, there has been a substantial and long-term decline in the volume of employers that regularly train their teams. Robert highlights this on-going problem and is the perfect person to answer the question:

Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working in procurement and she believes that
procurement plays a crucial role in driving the growth of every business. She thinks that
procurement should lead the way in innovation, act as disruptors, and foster stronger
internal partnerships. According to her, the key is to do things differently rather than
becoming obstacles to innovation, making her the perfect person to answer the burning
