Party Favorz is back with Volume II of the Ultimate Kylie Minogue for 2024 and this one packs a massive punch!
Initially, I wasn't certain how mixing in her current releases with her biggest hits from 10, 15 years ago would work so I dropped in several updated bootlegs that stayed true to the originals, while modernizing those songs for today's dance floors.
I kept several of the original remixes from the time of their release because they work just as well now as they did when they were originally released. I finally got around to perfecting the remastering of older material to tone down pitchy high ssss you hear in some songs, expanded the dynamics on others that sounded a bit flat and punching up the bass to round it out so it didn't sound too cold like much of the original software used to create the mixes. This is a time-consuming process but with the help of ChatGPT, it made it much easier to be able to fine-tune these settings. I couldn't be happier and plan on deploying some of these techniques in future releases (especially Circuit & Anthems where many of the DJs don't use plugins for a more professional sound).
All the remaining big hits like "On A Night Like This," "Spinnig Around," "Slow," "Love At First Sight," "Into the Blue," "The One," and "Breathe" are included here along with many current releases since "Tension" plus rare gems that never charted in the U.S. but had a minor prescence elsewhere. This truly is the Kylie Minogue wet dream all the gay boys have been waiting for. I only hope that I did the Queen justice.
I want ot thank Jack P, Dirk S, Ian A, Paul S, Andrew A, Hans R, David J, Paul B, Taylor OD, Joe S, Glenn A, Nicholas J, Earl K, Michael B, Al F, Adam G, Ignacio G, Casper Y, Doug B, and Raul G for their continued support. I literally could not do this without your help.
I you haven't already, please consider donating to our efforts in bringing you the finest dance club music anywhere on the internet. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Party Favorz is cranking up the gears to get us back on track, and what better way to kick things off than with Volume I of the Ultimate Kylie Minogue Diva Series!
Kylie is Australia's biggest-selling artist, with over 80 million albums sold worldwide. She’s considered the "Princess of Pop" behind Madonna, the "Queen of Pop," and is adored by millions of gay men around the globe. Currently, she’s holding a residency at the Venetian in Las Vegas for a series of sold-out shows and has recently signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix for an upcoming documentary about her life.
It was a long time coming when Kylie joined Madonna on her "Celebration Tour" for a performance of the iconic Gloria Gaynor classic "I Will Survive" and Kylie's own "Can't Get You Out of My Head." While I can no longer attend concerts, just watching two of my all-time favorite divas perform together brought tears to my eyes. Weird, I know—because I rarely get emotional, especially over artists I worship but treat as any other person in life—but it really hit me hard.
Here at Party Favorz, we adore Kylie Minogue and all her achievements, which is why we’re honoring her with her third induction into the Diva Hall of Fame. These two volumes (with Volume II dropping next weekend) are packed with all of Kylie’s biggest hits, along with her current releases and collaborations. The sets feature some original remixes and a few bootlegs, blending her classic tracks with the current music scene. These sets bring Kylie into the 21st century, where old and new complement each other for a seamless tribute like no other.
In my last post, I mentioned that downloading these sets would require a $10 donation per volume. While I have the ability to set that up, I just don’t have the time right now because I’m juggling other issues (recently discussed) along with managing this podcast. So, these two volumes—and everything else for the remainder of the year—will remain free for all to enjoy.
However, I know that two of you are posting some of these mixes on Mixcloud (yes, I know who you are) and House-Mixes.com, and passing off the work as your own. I really wish you wouldn’t because it hurts my traffic and my ability to sustain this podcast through donations which doesn't even cover my monthly costs. I’m too busy to issue takedown notices, but I’m appealing to your better angels by asking you nicely to stop.
As I mentioned earlier, Volume II will drop next weekend. After that, Party Favorz will be back to full capacity. I subscribe to my DJ service in 90-day periods, and I had to cancel it because of money issues. I’m waiting until after the 15th to renew,

Party Favorz is back with the 2024 Gay Pride Edition featuring the biggest circuit anthems and reworked gay anthems with that big room sound to celebrate our love for community, hot men, and the divas who keep us dancing!
This edition's cover art is courtesy of Mark De Lange, also known as Dirty Disco. Mark isn't just a prodigious and talented DJ who helps keep many of our Circuit and Anthems sets glued together; he's also a businessman, entrepreneur, and a genuinely nice guy. The hot daddy aspect is just an added bonus. Party Favorz wanted to celebrate this edition with real people we know, and it's an honor that Mark shared a variety of photos with us to choose for the cover. He even shared more than we asked for, but let's just say, we're impressed. If you find yourself in Houston (TX) anytime soon, head on over to the Montrose area and drop by his bar, the Houston Eagle (611 Hyde Park, Houston, TX 77006) where he spins on Sundays and say hi. Tell him Party Favorz sent you.
The Importance of Voting in 2024
As we celebrate Gay Pride month, it's crucial to address some pressing issues. It's an election year, folks, and it's the single most important one in our lifetime. It was true in 2016 when we urged everyone to vote for Clinton, but many couldn't get past the email controversy despite her being the most qualified person to ever run for office. Her loss resulted in a narcissistic, six-times-bankrupt, and morally corrupt individual holding the highest seat in our nation, which allowed him to install three conservative justices on the Supreme Court, giving them a majority.
Since then, they've rolled back voting rights, overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade, and expanded religious liberties to the point where doctors and pharmacists can openly discriminate against women, minorities, and the LGBTQ community without fear of punishment through state laws barring discrimination. Effectively, they've polluted our Constitution and severely restricted our 14th Amendment rights, and they're only getting started.
The Threats to LGBTQ Rights
Many of the hard-fought rights LGBTQ people have fought for, like marriage equality, sodomy laws, and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, have been won by the struggles and willingness of the gay community to fight for the equal rights we're guaranteed under the Constitution. Now, all of it—ALL OF IT—is on the chopping block. After overturning Roe v. Wade, Justice Thomas, in his concurring opinion, went even further, inviting lawsuits to overturn contraception and marriage equality. Don't be fooled; this court is not comprised of strict constitutionalists but rather activist judges who are attempting to inje...

Party Favorz has landed a new Spring Tea Dance Edition just in time for spring. This set offers a whole lot Sunday afternoon power tracks to compliment your cocktails.
Lately, Dirty Disco has been on a tear with one solid remix after another and the Spring Tea Dance Edition 2022 is chock-full of them. I had more Disco Gurls, Block & Crown, and Ghostmasters but most of those tracks have been moved to either the next Disco House set or Thank God It's Disco series.
This set begins with a low simmer but quickly sizzles to a low boil before finally cooling down with two notable entries to close it out. We have the excellent Eric Kupper remix of Reba McEntire's 'Does He Love You' and a new Diana Ross track 'I Still Believe' with Purple Disco Machine at the helm. Reba sounds stronger than ever on this 2009 classic and while still excellent — Diana's voice is beginning to show strain. Both ladies are DIVAS in their own right and the fact that they're still making great music is a testament to their iconic status within their industries.
I had started working on the next Funky House installment but to be honest, the music just isn't there...yet. It's generally the easiest series to whip up but too many of the biggest songs just fell flat (IMHO). So, I've pushed that back to its original scheduled release for two weeks from now and will begin compiling the set list for the Spring Edition 2022 to be released (fingers crossed) next week.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

First Splash Edition 2008 | Pt. 1 & 2
vendredi 2 mai 2008 • Duration
Well, it looks as if I'm way ahead of the curve. I managed to clean up my computer, replace the motherboard, backup everything to two external hard drives (for anal retentive sake), and reinstalled Vista now that SP1 is out. I also switched to DSL from Cable (good riddance).
So where did I find the time to knock this edition out you ask? I threw all the songs together in a giant mix and burned it to an mp3 disc so I could preview the tunes I wanted to use for this mix while I was working on the computer. Not only was the mix spectacular, I was able to go back and make a handful of tweaks and of course, edits to cut the time under 80 minutes per mix for those that like to burn to disc.
All told I might have spent 3 hours in total in the mix. I can assure you, it's rare that all the songs I want to use just fall into place, but it does happen. Even though First Splash isn't until the end of the Month, I wanted to ensure there was no overlapping with my Pride Edition that comes out in June. So spacing these mixes out just made good sense.
For those of you who may be wondering what First Splash is, it is Memorial Day weekend in Austin, TX. Much like your White Party and its brethren, this is a major Gay celebration that goes on all weekend. Typically considered the time of year when you're ready to shed all your clothes for more suitable attire befitting the season. You can certainly do that at "Hippie Hollow" a nudist area just off the lake. If you've never been, you ought to check it out.
There's a newer First Splash that started on South Padre Island back in 2000. I was asked to spin two years in a row for the event and the accompanying "Last Splash" which occurs on Labor Day weekend. Though small at the time, it's well on its way to being a viable competitor to the one in Austin. "The Upper Deck" owner has been buying up all the property down the street where his hotel is located and had plans to build a giant indoor club to allow the party to go on all night. I haven't been back in a while, I guess maybe I should.
I really like this mix. Side one is chock full of cheez. Mind you, not that government cheez, but grade 'A' quality cheez. Nevertheless, still cheez...LOL. As the mix progresses, it begins to get deeper about 2/3 of the way down. Side two picks up where mix 1 leaves off and holds steady until the end, where I had to throw in one last slice of cheez, an updated version of the eighties NRG classic "So Many Many, So Little Time". All in all, this is one solid mix that I'm very proud of and I hope will get the boys all excited about Summer! Yay, the warmer weather is on its way and it's time to get all sweaty on the dancefloor again.
I still have a few more things that need to be taken care of, so I may or may not be back this next weekend with my next update. I decided to go ahead and knock out my next Electro-Funk Edition followed by the next installment of the Classix Edition that was originally promised. I'll see how everything pans out, but those of you that regularly visit my blog, know me well enough that I just can't stay away. Until then, everyone have a great weekend and as always...ENJOY!
Due to the original structure of this post, the two separate sets have now been combined into one and remastered based on the techniques used in current podcasts.

Deep Edition 2008 v5 [Pt. 1 & 2]
dimanche 27 avril 2008 • Duration
Sorry for the delay, but Comcast is up to no good again. Previously they had been throttling my uploads around an average of 55 kb/s, but are now limiting it around 5 kb/s.
Heck, with those kind of speeds, who needs cable when dial up is much faster? That's ok. I went ahead and switched to AT&T which I should have up and running no later than Tuesday. It has been nothing short of a nightmare with Comcast. Their commercials always talk about "how fast they are" and their service is "Comcastic" et. al. Since switching from DSL to cable, I can honestly testify that their service is purely "Comcraptic". Slow speeds, constant connection losses and now the throttling of my uploads to the point where it's impossible to get one of my podcasts' uploaded, is completely unacceptable.
Whether I'm uploading to Podbean, Flickr or Mozy (online storage), their service makes it impossible to get anything done without ripping out my hair. Oh wait, I just shaved it off this past weekend, so I guess a better analogy would be in order.
Regardless, you get my point. What's funny (or maybe not), I called in yesterday for my weekly bitchfest with their support department. As always, they check the lines from their end and "claim everything tests fine". If that's the case, then please explain to me why my Internet service went down for two hours yesterday evening, and then when it came back up, all was fine in Comcrapticland? Coincidence? I think not.
If you are experiencing this type of poor quality Internet experience with your ISP, click on the Comcast image on the left hand side and sign up to make your voice heard. Net neutrality is something that's been debated for a long time now, and stands a much better chance of passage now that the Democrats are in charge. Naturally, the ISP's are against it. Why you ask? Because companies like Comcast have oversold their capacity to the point of not being able to viably sustain their networks.
Meanwhile, they stifle competition in the areas they serve, ensuring their monopolistic ventures continue unquestioned and unabated with their already poor quality service. Consequently, they are devising ways to start charging customers for the amount of bandwidth they consume each month. I'm sorry, but the whole point of the Internet and faster connections was to allow people to be more productive while providing an overall better user experience. Unfortunately, it's having the opposite affect.
Those of you that access the Internet wirelessly through your cell phones, your next. At what point do we as citizens demand we get the service the ISP's promise (and that we pay for) but refuse to deliver? The time is now to speak up and let Congress know that you're "mad as hell and you're NOT going to take it anymore". Alright, I'll step down from my soapbox for now...on to the music!
As promised, Party Favorz is serving up another installment of the Deep Edition this week. This time around, the music leans heavily towards a more progressive and tech house sound. From Eric Prydz' now classic "Pjanoo" to Mark Knight's classic update of "Man With The Red Face" or House Music United's "Yes We Can" this is some serious electronica. Needless to say, this is NOT your parents house music.
Listen very closely, as the layer's continue to build one on top of the other like a stack of heaping pancakes. Before you know it, you'll be cooled down on side two with some whip cream and blueberry's. On the latter song, you'll notice HMU dropped in one of Barak Obama's inspirational speeches. While this is in no way an endorsement of his candidacy, the guy can sure give one heck of an inspiring totally prepared speech (sorry had to get that jab in).
Take advantage of these mixes, because as we start sliding into Summer, I won't be doing any of the Deep Editions for a while. Going into the next few months, my primary focus will be on the "House, Electro, Funky & Mainstream Club Editions".
Deep Edition 2008 v4 [Pt. 1 & 2]
vendredi 25 avril 2008 • Duration
Well, so much for the projects I had planned. It always seems that no matter what I try to arrange, my timing is always off. That's okay because you guys benefit from my delays. In fact, not only do you get my latest Deep Edition v4, tomorrow you get v5 as well! Hey, it's a twofer, not too shabby.
While this mix is definitely more down the deep house path with a little tech house thrown in for good measure, tomorrow's update will be a combination of progressive house and tech house just to mix things up a bit. Between both updates, you get the hottest and most current tunes in their respective genres. Not a bad deal at all.
I'm pleased with the way things are going for the downloads. Looks like we no longer have bandwidth concerns which make downloading less tedious. It also looks like many of you jumped on the iTunes bandwagon as well. I'm glad you like it. Make sure you click the "subscribe" button in iTunes to ensure delivery of my podcasts.
Those of you who do not use iTunes can still be notified via email updates or your favorite reader (i.e. Yahoo!, Google, etc.) So if you haven't done that yet, whatcha waitin' for? Also, you may have noticed I'm playing around with the track listing format. I'm providing a start time for each track that can later be used to split the files up for those of you more technically inclined. Star ratings and reviews will return after my break.
I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend like I am. I'll be back tomorrow with one last update before I officially take a break. Enjoy!

Funky House Edition 2008 Volume 2 | Pt. 1 & 2
samedi 19 avril 2008 • Duration
I finally got this thing wrapped up. I thought I was being so smart and had this mix in the can before my Prog mix last week. So I figured I'd hold out for Mariah's TMB (David Morales Mix) which is supposedly very funky. Unfortunately, that mix has yet to see the light of day, though I'm guessing a CD pressing may be in the works for a Perfect Beat exclusive next week.
Initially, I thought I wouldn't have enough songs to create this mix. Because I held out for the DM mix, new stuff continued to arrive. So yesterday, I went back and threw out the entire mix and started from scratch. I have to say, the end result kicks some serious boot-ay!
Some of you might be wondering...what happened to that funky new Bimbo Jones song? It turns out that the song is not new. Apparently, it was released two years ago. Consequently, I decided not to use it (though I absolutely love the song). However, there is some good news to this story.
Apparently, Bimbo Jones along with Katherine Ellis (who I absolutely adore...watch out Kristine W) has signed a deal with Tommy Boy Records here in the U.S. to release a full album sometime this summer. There is no doubt that BJ has been hot, hot, hot lately. However, "Harlem One Stop" shows an element of their production style that I haven't seen until now. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic about this project and will keep everyone posted.
In other news, I've finally got listed on iTunes and will now be providing a download link for those of you that use the service. I also managed to work out a really good deal with Podbean which will significantly lower my overhead costs and provide unlimited bandwidth. That's right, you heard it...unlimited! If you have read my recent posting in the chatterbox, you'd see that my 4shared account was overwhelmed recently.
Apparently, my Deep Edition v3 was posted on a Russian music site and generated a lot of traffic and downloads. According to their site, by law, they weren't allowed to provide a direct link to the mix. Instead, they provided a link back to my site. Glad they loved the mix, but it ate up all my bandwidth much sooner than normal. Needless to say, this will no longer be an issue.
Finally, you'll notice that I'm slowly implementing changes to this blog. More significantly, I've now added "donation" buttons for the mixes. Even though I've managed to lower my costs in one area, there's not much I can do in another. Better than 2/3 of the music in the mixes has been purchased through one of the legal download services. As you all know, this ain't cheap. You might say, well why don't you hunt it down? For one, I prefer to support the artists whenever possible.
Two, there's not enough time in my day to hunt down this that and the other. Three, as a product of the "gimme more now" generation, I want what I want when I want it : ) So, if you like what I'm providing, how 'bout hooking a brother up with a small donation. $5 every other month or so ain't going to break the bank and collectively goes a long way towards my overall costs. At the very least, please leave some comments and let me know what you think. Sometimes I feel like a cheap one night stand where people just come in and bang and leave. Geez, I feel so used ; )
Alright, that's enough whining for now. Just want to remind you all that I will be taking a sabbatical for the next two weeks to work on other projects that I've neglected. Progressive Edition 2008 | Pt. 1, 2 & 3
samedi 12 avril 2008 • Duration
Well, I finally got the next installment of the Progressive edition up and ready. This is the official direction this series will take. That is to say, deep, dark, and very dirty. Lots of tribal and electric throughout.
This is for the hot sweaty men on the dancefloor. While this has never been my style, it's not hard to pick the songs I think will move the boys. Besides, I REALLY like making the cover art for this series...hehehe.
I've been backed up all week, so I cut out the information posted with each track. I don't think anyone is going to mind, because ultimately, it's all about the music. I'm in the final mixdown for the Funky Edition, which will be out next Frigay. After that, I expect to take a 2-week hiatus as I work on other projects.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and please, if you like what you hear, feel free to express yourself in the chat box to the left. Enjoy!

Electro-Funk Edition 2008 Volume 4 | Pt. 1 & 2
vendredi 4 avril 2008 • Duration
Well, it's that time again for some Dirty Electro-Funk! As the last time, I had way too many songs and successfully managed to whittle it down to two discs. Not an easy thing to do, but when many of the songs are painfully redundant, it makes my job that much easier.
Did you check out the cover art? I was going for one of those cheesy K-tel albums from the seventies and think I achieved that. My mom always bought these compilations when I was growing up, so I thought it would be cool to bring it back. Don't worry, I'll bring back disco Barbie soon enough.
Also, just want to remind everyone, I'm currently working on the next installment of the Progressive Edition which will come out next week followed by the next installment of the Funky Edition (which is almost complete). After that, I plan on taking a break and will be back sometime in May. WMC is now over, and all the hot summer tunes start coming out. I'm expecting a sizzling summer for club music, particularly good ole funky house.
So all you electro-heads, get after it. I'll catch everyone next week with my Prog edition. Until then...Enjoy!
