Ep 178: Lauren Walsh | Irish Professional Golfer
vendredi 30 août 2024 • Duration 26:33
Welcome to this week’s episode of PaddyTalks Golf Podcast and official podcast partner of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
I took some time with rising star in Irish golf, Lauren Walsh who is no stranger to this podcast and known for her impressive achievements both as an amateur and a young professional. Born in County Kildare, Ireland, Walsh developed her skills early at Castlewarden Golf Club before becoming a standout player at Wake Forest University in the United States, where she earned All-American honours and contributed significantly to her team’s successes in NCAA competitions.
Walsh has represented Ireland in various international events, including the Curtis Cup and the European Ladies’ Team Championship, where she showcased her talent and leadership. She turned professional in 2023, making an immediate impact on the Ladies European Tour. Walsh is known for her consistent play, strong ball-striking, and calm demeanour on the course, which have quickly made her a player to watch in women’s golf and is a contender for Rookie of the Year honours on the Ladies European Tour.
As Lauren makes her debut at this week’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Walsh has the talent and composure to be a contender, and a strong performance could further solidify her status as one of Ireland’s most promising young golfers.

Ep 76: Amy Condon on making Golf FUN!
vendredi 23 avril 2021 • Duration 32:46
Having spoken to Amy Condon on numerous occasions in putting together this episode, I think she quite possibly is the most personable person I have had on the show. Driven, Focused, Goal orientated, has a plan but most of all is loads of Fun. It was great to hear of why she embarked on her PGA journey and her plans once achieved. The legacy she is building at Elm Park and it's Junior Section is second to none in the country, but most important of all is that the kids love it because it's fun.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you do, please let a friend know about it.
