Hello and welcome to the last episode of the Ongoing Comicbook Discussion Podcast. This is episode number 100. In this episode, I wrap up the show with the story of OCD and what it's meant to me. On OCD’s 20th day of 31 days of horror, the lovely Emily Slade of the “Why this Film” podcast joins Tess to talk 1972’s “Tales From the Crypt” British Horror movie. Get ready for over-exaggerated English accents and dramatic re-enactments of the movie scenes. This is a wild episode you don’t want to miss! When people in a tourist group get lost within ancient catacombs, they meet the sinister Crypt Keeper (Ralph Richardson), who tells them each their fate. The creepy figure's macabre stories involve Joanne Clayton (Joan Collins), a wife dabbling in murder, and Grymsdyke (Peter Cushing), a retired sanitation worker targeted by his suspicious neighbors. Among the other characters is adulterer Carl Maitland (Ian Hendry), who may face a fitting demise if the Crypt Keeper's yarns come true.

On OCD’s 19th day of 31 days of horror, Tess’ long-time friend, Angela, joins us to talk David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, and Sanford Greene’s “Bitter Root” volume 1 comic! This action-packed, paranormal fiction comic tackles racism head-on in a beautifully told story about a monster-hunting family who seek to heal the “Jinoo” demon monsters that infest their world. We are already excited for the 2nd volume to come out! Once known as the greatest monster hunters of all time, the Sangerye family specialized in curing the souls of those infected by hate. But those days are fading. A terrible tragedy has claimed most of the family, leaving the surviving cousins divided between the desire to cure monsters or to kill them. Now, though, there's a new breed of monster lose on the streets of Harlem, and the Sangerye family must either come together or watch the human race fall to untold evil.

Rick Grimes is not prepared for this. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. While a strange assailant stalks the city, ripping out human hearts, another otherwordly being arrives. As his mind reels, our tortured hero remembers that he struck a deal with the devil in order to return to his beloved wife - five years after his death.

This month, my nerd twin, CHELS, from the Ready to Retro podcast, joins me to review the much anticipated Marvel movie BLACK WIDOW! Did we love it? Did we have a few gripes? Taking place during Batman's early days of crime-fighting, this classic mystery tells the story of a mysterious killer who murders his prey only on holidays. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the clock as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman's deadly enemy, Two-Face.

On OCD’s 10th day of 31 days of horror, Tess is joined by the talented Kyle Clark from “This is Rad” and “Everything is Scary” podcasts to review Charles Burns’ “Black Hole.” Set in the suburbs of Seattle during the mid 1970s, the story follows a group of teenagers who contract a mysterious sexually transmitted disease referred to as "the Bug," which causes them to develop bizarre unique physical mutations and subsequently become social outcasts, many of them running away from home to live in the nearby woodland.

The inmates of Arkham Asylum have taken over and are demanding Batman in exchange for their hostages. This week on the OCD, Tess is joined by Hunter and James of Android’s Amazing Podcast to talk Robert Kirkman’s comic “Invincible: Family Matters!” Mark Grayson is just like most everyone else his age. He's a senior at a normal American high School. He has a crappy part-time job after school and on weekends. He likes girls quite a bit... but doesn't quite understand them. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, and sleeping late on Saturdays... at least until the good cartoons come on. The only difference between Mark and everyone else is that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, and as of late, he seems to be inheriting his father's powers. Which sounds okay at first, but how do you follow in your father's footsteps when you know you will never live up to his standards? THIS ISSUE: Get in on the ground floor, because it all starts here! Strange things begin to happen to Mark Grayson as he begins to develop superpowers. Luckily, his dad is around to show him the ropes, at least he WOULD be if he weren't so busy saving the world all the time. Mark is forced to go out on his own, and try and figure out how all this superheroing business works. The results are a monumental disaster, at least until he gets the hang of it. Watch Mark thwart thieving super-villains, alien invasions, and all sorts of craziness.

One of the most beloved comic series of all time, The Rocketeer has been completely remastered and is presented here with glorious all-new coloring for the first time.
