Welcome to Season 4 of Midweek Rise Up!

We're starting off this new season with an awesome episode featuring my husband, the incredible, Charlie Kirk. We sit down together at AmericaFest 2024 discussing a multitude of topics, but mostly explaining what this past year has been like for us, as a family, individually, and also the power of literally surrounding everything to the Lord and saying, "Here I am, Lord. Use me." But, be prepared, because God will do just that, use you, in the most POWERFUL ways.

God loves you—personally, powerfully, and passionately. His love is not distant or indifferent; it is intentional and ever-present. Would He save you only to leave you in fear? Would He teach you to walk, only to watch you stumble? Would He endure the agony of the cross for your sins, only to ignore your prayers? Of course not.Look to Jesus, and you will see the heart of God. Watch as He reveals the Kingdom—His power over disease and death, His ability to restore what was lost, His tears for a broken world, and His authority to bring healing. Whether we recognize it or not, His Kingdom is advancing, His love is unshaken, and He is always listening.

Our primary mission field begins within our own homes and circles of friends and family. Oftentimes, this area of our lives is where we experience the most conflict. Without even realizing it, we can wrongly take things out on the people we love and feel secure with because we know their love is unconditional and we take it for granted. It's critically important to take a step back in these situations and remember: your spouse, your child, your friend is not the enemy. The enemy is the enemy. Allow God to rule over your actions and your words. Be intentional about these critical things, especially with those you love, whom God has entrusted to you. Those people are in your corner to help you and love you, not hurt you, and you need to steward those relationships in the same way.

I want to embolden you today to release yourself from your burdens and the burdens of others. Fully relinquish your worries and lay them down at the feet of our loving Father. Once you set them there under His watchful care, don’t bend down to pick them back up.

Whatever the case may be, you must resist the urge to handle alone what God wants to shoulder with you. When you leave your burdens at his feet, leave them. Let them go and invite Him in. Put your fears, your burdens, your worries into the nail-scarred hands of our Savior. He is more than trustworthy and His love for you is beyond what you can comprehend.

Fasting releases us from the constant distractions surrounding us and the unworthy things vying for our attention. It helps us to be attune to God’s voice and to remember that we need to depend on Him every single moment of every single day. He is the one we must rely on for our spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. No other source can satisfy. John Piper explained it well when he wrote that, at its heart, fasting is “an intensification of prayer. It’s a physical exclamation point at the end of the sentence, ‘We hunger for you to come in power.’ It’s a cry with your body, ‘I really mean it, Lord! This much, I hunger for you.’ “

It’s a challenge to define “holy fear” or the act of “fearing God'' in just a simple sentence or even paragraph for that matter.

It's so important to remember that the fear of the Lord does not drive us away from God’s presence–it’s the exact opposite. Holy fear is a wonderful, godly fear that lays a firm foundation for us as believers. It involves deep and abiding reverence–profound, adoring respect.

Holy fear is a gift of love and even protection, offered to us by a God who cares for us profoundly. Do you want to embrace holy fear? Live in awe of God. Respect and honor Him. Adore Him above anything and anyone else in the universe.

It’s so easy to get caught up trying to “fix” our circumstances, relationships or friendships instead of fixing our gaze on Jesus–the only one who can, and someday will, truly fix everything in this broken world. Stop rushing into situations in an attempt to “fix” everything. Instead, breathe, be still, and remember what I’ve reminded you of before: there’s a difference between being still and being stagnant. If you’re feeling discouraged or overwhelmed by a storm or valley in your life, remember that you’re a human with a limited capacity. Instead of putting pressure on yourself to achieve what only God can, seek Him wholeheartedly. Don’t try to climb your mountains alone. With open eyes and a thankful heart, surrender to our God who moves mountains.

Happy Monday Meditations! Today we’re going to be meditating on healing.

Every one of us is in need of healing, whether it be from sin, sickness, mental affliction, spiritual fatigue, emotional suffering or anxiety and worry. I want to encourage you to reconcile your wounds. Don’t run away in fear or avoidance from the problems you face. Healing will elude you if you don’t confront the root causes of your struggles. Instead of fleeing, go to the source of endless supply, our God. He is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. Ask Him to empower you and strengthen your shoulders, that He would equip you to address the struggles you’re experiencing and to tackle your situation head-on. In John 10:10 Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” He died for us so that we can live for Him. Heal so that you can continue building for the Kingdom without any hesitation.

Happy Monday Meditations! Today we’re going to be meditating on the Seasons of Change.

Although seasons of change can be filled with so many unknowns, there is beauty to be found in the reality that uncertainty can also be viewed as possibility. God has great plans for our lives and He is walking alongside us as we undergo these many changes. He is the one that is ultimately in control. He writes the beginning and the end and although we may feel that weapons are forming around us as we undergo seasons of change, we must remember that they will not prosper.

Joy is powerful. Yet, it's not in interchangeable with happiness. Happiness is fleeting. It’s an emotion that fluctuates with circumstance. But as a Christian, joy is so deeply ingrained into our heart. Joy is long lasting and it satisfies the heart in an extremely unique and incredible way. It’s no doubt a characteristic of God’s people who are walking in His presence. Joy is an absolute gift and it’s given to those who trust in Christ.
