Uprooting the Tree of Karma

Your senses and sense organs are a gift… be grateful for them! But when we try to enjoy them separate from God, we suffer. When you use your senses to see God’s unconditional love, and to cultivate gratitude for God’s gifts, you make union, or Yoga, between yourself and God. This sincere union allows us to uproot the entanglements of this world, and the tree of karma.

Introduction to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Season 1 · Episode 1

jeudi 4 juin 2020Duration 50:26

In these challenging times, let’s connect to each other from a deep spiritual place and raise our compassion, empathy, and our love for each other. Let’s explore the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali to help us better understand the cycles of the world in which we live. Let’s help each other work through stress and anxiety: relax the mind and body. Let’s use the tools and techniques the yogis have taught us for millennia.

The Yoga Sutras are a beautiful philosophy. The Sanskrit word is Darshan: How we see the world; our worldview. We are all philosophers, we have a worldview that gets us out of bed…let’s explore the philosophy of Patanjali together. The questions we ask: Who am I? What is my purpose? Why am I on the Earth Planet? This is a time to question - not just in Covid times, but every day. Let’s explore and contemplate how the rsis before us became purified. We begin with a few mantras, followed by a meditation. Knowledge is followed by realized knowledge.
