Choosing the right contraceptive after having babies can feel like such a big decision, because you are mentally & physically recovering and your hormones are adjusting postpartum. The last thing you want to talk about is contraception or even think about having sex, BUT it’s such an important decision us women have to make.

Personally, I decided to take the hormone-free route using Natural Cycles, because i tried to go back on the pill again postpartum (that's all i knew), but the fake hormones I was putting into my body made me angry, tearful, irritated. My mood swings were all over the place, I had meltdowns and I felt like I had a huge cloud over my head. 

I made the best decision for my body, mental health & wellbeing to use Natural Cycles, a contraceptive app that is used by over 2 million women across the world. 

In this episode, I am joined by Dr Elina Berglund Co-Founder of the first app-based birth control Natural Cycles cleared by (FDA). We discuss the challenges we both faced on hormonal contraception and how this led us to choosing natural contraception. How these challenges gave Elina the drive to set up the Natural Cycles app to give women the option to go hormone-free. But as with most businesses, this came with a a huge risk and the sacrifice a salary for two years to make it happen.

Elina merged her scientific background with her passion and Natural Cycles was born with her Husband on their honeymoon.
