Episode 106: TNA Slammiversary 2007

TNA Slammiversary V wasn't a show that exactly set the woods on fire, but overall, it was a pretty decent show. It was a time capsule of where TNA (now Impact Wrestling) was at the time. Can you believe they started in 2002 and are still around!? The main event is TNA's signature King of the Mountain match between Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, and Chris Harris (replacing Jeff Jarrett). Jeff Jarrett couldn't attend the show after the passing of his wife, Jill. Rick Steiner also had to find a replacement partner as he took on Team 3D when Scott nearly died from a throat injury suffered in Puerto Rico. All of that is combined with Abyss and Tomko having a ridiculous No Disqualification match that you have to see to believe. Chris Benoit faced off against Meng in a Death Match, the Dungeon of Doom implodes, Glacier and Mortis continue their feud as Wrath is brought into the fold, Ultimo Dragon and Lord Steven Regal have a banger for the TV Title, and Rey Mysterio Jr. takes on a NJPW star.
