Karen Thomas’ near death experience occurred July 7, 1982 in Anchorage, Alaska where she had been working as a physical therapist. She injured her back and was scheduled for what would be her second back surgery. Concerned that this surgery may need to include a spinal fusion which could be a career-ending situation, Karen asked friends and family to pray for her on the day of her surgery. During surgery, Karen’s left common iliac artery was cut and she bled out on the operating room table. Today Karen is dedicated to telling her story of what took place during her near death experience. Valerie Johnson was nearly killed when her car went over an embankment after a night of drinking. How I became all this began in Germany when I was a young girl, I was walking home from school, and I heard a voice telling me: you are here on this earth with a mission. During the crash, I felt two hands holding onto my shoulders, keeping me pressed against the seat. This event was a miracle because the crash was horrible, but I survived the accident and was given a second chance to live; and I thank my guardian angel for keeping me safe. I also worked with wonderful mentors and took many spiritual courses. Then came Kundalini, a very powerful spiritual awakening that takes over your whole body, mind, and soul. Like the caterpillar to a butterfly, I had to go through a lot of purging in order to have my spiritual awakening. This was the hardest time of my life, but now I am at a place where everything makes sense. Steve Noack is a psychic and zero point quantum energy practitioner. Robert Petrillo is the host of the podcast, "Obsessed With Death".  Robert started his podcast because he is obsessed with the topic of death and wanted to deep dive into it to confront his fears, explore his curiosity and geek out about this mysterious, fascinating topic with others who are willing to obsess about death with him.  I invited Robert to join me to talk about his fears, anxieties and thoughts about death and to receive a mediumship reading on my podcast and to then discuss his impressions about the whole situation.    I loved this interview because we laughed a lot and learned a lot and I hope you will, too.

David Suich, author of, "God Took My Clothes" and spiritual counselor,  is a retired engineer who founded and operated Steps of Hope Outreach, a nonprofit organization that served orphanages in Nepal, Mexico, and Haiti from 2003 through 2018. During a painful and chronic physical condition that triggered severe depression, he clicked on a YouTube video about an atheist who died momentarily and saw Heaven. This led him on a 14-year journey of research into near death experiences including the testimonies of over 1000 people who have died, seen the afterlife, and returned.

My soul sister Alana Sweetwater, a musician, intuitive and host of the podcast, “The Warrior Empath” joined me to discuss what it is to be an empath, or highly sensitive person.  We talked about the gifts that being an empath can offer, as well as the difficulties in navigating a world of overstimulation, fear and anxiety when we absorb the energy of other people, places and events.  We discussed the process of psychic mediumship and spirit communication as well as how we create and contribute to healthy relationship dynamics with others and set boundaries when we are so deeply feeling and love so easily.
