The Twins made their first moves of the offseason this week, first declining the $5 million option on Sergio Romo and then claiming Brandon Waddell and Ian Gibaut off waivers. The righty Gibaut has an electric fastball/slider combo and the lefty Waddell has a pretty good slider, too. These moves come close to a year after the Twins claimed Matt Wisler off waivers. Wisler went on to post a 1.07 ERA in 2020.
