The reason I suggest aiming for a six figure business in coaching is that I think people have the wrong goals.

People often tell me they would like to get to $1,000,000 in one year when they aren’t making even close to $100,000.

However, it doesn’t always work that way. It’s about having the right goals.

When Kevin, my newer client, first started with me, he told me his goal was to make $1,000,000.

I told him that was a fantastic goal and asked him what he was making at the time.

At the time he was averaging about $5000 a month.

Now, let me be transparent with you.

$1 million should not be the first goal when you are making $5000 a month. It isn’t entirely realistic, as almost no business owners get there.

Slow and steady wins the race.

This is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.

You’ve heard it all before. If you don’t “find your niche” or narrow down the “right group of people” to market to, you’re going to lose out in business.

However, I am going to say something very different to you today.

Ditch the niche.

Stop focusing on this “right type of client.”

Instead do what my client family members and I do: Focus on transforming people's lives. Period. End of story.

Don’t worry about if they are your exact target audience. Simply concentrate on the task at hand, impacting your fellow humans in a positive way.

Worry about one breakthrough at a time with the person in front of you. A family member, a friend, a colleague, a neighbor - what if you just decided to focus on helping them as individuals, instead of putting yourself in a box of your “ideal client?”

You would probably do a lot more breakthrough sessions and help far more people.

You’ve probably heard that coaches need coaches.

You might have brushed it off, not thinking that you really needed one to get ahead in your business.

The truth is, you DO need a coach to model. I personally would have never had thirty clients in thirty days when I first started without my coach.

In that first year, I did $500,000, and in the second year, I was able to make $1 million in sales.

Why?

Because I had a coach.

My client family members wouldn’t be hitting 6-7 figures without my help either.

So, why do you need a coach? You need a coach that has a proven system.

A system that is guaranteed to deliver outcomes that you want because otherwise there is excess room for error in marketing.

We can spend too much time, money, and energy doing things all wrong and not transforming lives.

We’re all in the business of transforming lives, right?

So that is why it is critically important that we have our own coaches.

Coaches give us that accountability to get things done and make it happen.

What is it they really want? What is it they really need?
