Our Mojo Is Working! September 2025 Suede Article & 'Outsiders' CD Discussed

Season 1 · Episode 26

vendredi 25 juillet 2025Duration 01:05:00

Litter On The Breeze - the podcast about the music, the stories and the fans of Suede - returns to talk about Suede's first magazine front cover in A Very Long Time! As you would expect for such a momentous occasion, today I am joined by Sam from The Insatiable Ones  - and you will hear us discuss how the band come across in the article and what it says about where they are in 2025, their song-writing process and most importantly of all TEAGATE.

We then look at the cover-mounted CD 'Outsiders and give our thoughts on most of the tracks contained within, including brand spanking newie 'Criminal Ways'! With diversions into Shine compilations and tribute albums.

 Plus more TEAGATE..

Show Notes:

  • The magazine itself should still be available for another two weeks or so as this episode goes out - do definitely try and acquire a copy if you haven't already. The writing from Keith Cameron and Victoria Segal is first-class. Editor John Mulvey's cover piece on Brian Wilson is an essential read too.
  • Here's the incredible version of 'Down By the Seaside' by Robert Plant and Tori Amos from the Led Zeppelin tribute album 'Encomium', that you will hear me mention. You definitely couldn't call it 'phoned in'!
  • Stay tuned for merch...

BONUS EPISODE - Giving You 'More': A Pulp Special

Season 1 · Episode 24

vendredi 11 juillet 2025Duration 02:10:26

For one week and one week only, we take a break from our usual Suede-related programming* to chat about a band you may have heard of by the name of Pulp! Bonus episodes are a thing that I want to keep to an absolute minimum as we all know who we're here for** , but given the deserved plaudits foisted upon them for 'More' and their current tour, I had to make some time to give them some shine! Joined today by a "Pulp Phd" holder, we chat about first getting in to Pulp, their live work, The 1996 Brit Awards (Of Course), plus plenty of other stuff! After that, we then go track by track through their latest album 'More'!

Show Notes:

  • *Well, apart from the first ten minutes where I mention their Mojo front cover and CD!
  • ** This doesn't mean that I'll be doing a bonus episode on James any time soon.  Although it probably should.....
