On this episode, the boys had Vinny Mauri back on the pod! Vinny famously ran 2:05 solo at the Glass City Marathon this Spring. Now - he has a pro contract with Asics and is lining up for his first World Major Marathon as a pro athlete, going against some of the best in the world!
We walked through his full training block going into Chicago and also talked about how he is approaching Chicago with some Americans targeting the American record. Enjoy!
On this episode, Chris and Danny shared more stories and fun memories from the Berlin Marathon! This episode was largely focused on Chris’s DNF breakdown in more detail + Danny’s full weekend experience.
We will get Scotty’s full breakdown once he is back in the states. We love race weekend recap episodes, always so many stories to tell! Enjoy!
On this episode, I broke down my entire weekend in Berlin, Thursday through Sunday! I had a rough race unfortunately culminating in a late DNF - however the weekend was full of stories and overall it was an awesome trip.
I talked about visiting with my good friend Felix, all the runs I went on, the expo, pre-race shakeout run, the race itself, and more!
I also speculated a bit as to what went wrong in the race and if I will be doing Indy or not.
Enjoy!

On this episode, the boys had on our good friend Adam Popp! Adam just came off an epic run at the Leadville 100. We got the full race recap on Leadville and also previewed Berlin, where he is joining us for a fun weekend and hopes to go sub 3!
We also discussed how to defeat negative thoughts on marathon day and things that normally run through our minds pre or during the race that we need to work on.
Adam also told us about his recent visit to the Puma lab in Boston to try out a new setup for his running prosthetic. Very cool stuff!
On this episode, I (Chris) did a solo episode! I started off talking about my Berlin build and how I’ve been feeling recently. Had some major fatigue issues over the last week but feeling better this week + got some good bloodwork back!
The back half of the episode was focused on pro running news! Started off with some more minor news then fully focused on World Road Running Champs. Of course largely focused on the men’s half marathon which was epic!

#377 Ethan Shuley - Sydney Marathon Recap, Valencia Announcement + Preview, Moving Back to the USA
On this episode, we had special guest Ethan Shuley on the podcast! Ethan just ran the Sydney Marathon finishing in 13th with a time of 2:08! He had a bit of a hectic build up - moving back to the US, finding himself in the hospital with a bowel obstruction shortly before the race, and then dealing with a pretty severe shin issue in the weeks leading up as well.
We recapped Sydney, discussed his new contract with Asics, and also discussed what’s next for him when he announced he is running Valencia Marathon on the pod! He is hoping to run under 2:06 in Valencia and will be training a good amount in Flagstaff in the build up.
SIGHTSEEING: Walk around Museum Island (18th century architecture), walk along East Side Gallery (Remnants of Berlin Wall), walk around Alexanderplatz to see mix of GDR and WW2 architecture
RESTAURANTS: Oggis Gemüsekebap + Mehraba Greifswalder Straße (typical Berlin fast food), Night kitchen (fusion tapas), Grill Royal (Steakhouse), Borchardts (best Schnitzel in town)

On this episode, Chris and Felix walked through Berlin Marathon weekend! Of course we covered the expo, where to do your shakeout run, the race course, and everything to do with the race!
On top of that, Felix gave excellent recommendations on how to get around the city, coffee shops restaurants, sites to see, neighborhoods to hang out in, places to avoid, and more!
