Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re back and discussing THE BUCKINGHAM MURDERS.

Amrita watched AURON MEIN KAHAN DUM THA starring Ajay Devgan and Tabu as star crossed lovers. She also watched ULAJH starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Deviah, and Roshan Matthews.

Asim watched the Film Companion documentary on Netflix, MODERN MASTERS: SS RAJAMOULI but can’t really recommend it.

Sujoy watched the Sony Liv thriller Brinda starring Trisha Krishnan.

We also watched the new AP Dhillon song OLD MONEY because… well, Salman Khan (and Sanjay Dutt).

This remake of 1987’s Goldie Hawn/ Kurt Russell starrer OVERBOARD, stars Salman Khan and Neelam Kothari who follow the same enemies to lovers path. However, this is the early Salman so watch out for the sibling chemistry, the muscle vests, the fatphobia and the seeds of his love for farms.

Directed by Advait Chandan and adapted from FORREST GUMP (1994) by Atul Kulkarni, Laal Singh Chaddha has been in the eye of the storm since we first saw a teaser pre-pandemic, for reasons good as well as terrible.

Starring Aamir Khan as the titular character and costarring Kareena Kapoor as his one true love while Mona Singh plays his mother, Laal Singh Chaddha seems like a return to normal filmmaking after a long time. All three hosts saw this movie in the theater and were delighted to have a proper discussion again.
