How This Brand Photographer Is Maximizing Her Income Beyond Six-Figures With Group Coaching Programs with Mecca Gamble
03 Feb 2021
00:44:51
Today’s guest is the wonderful Mecca Gamble, a photographer and successful business owner who’s giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the decisions she’s made to be able to grow her photography business beyond six-figures by introducing an excellent coaching program.
If you’re a creative business owner who wants to evolve and grow then you’re not going to want to miss this episode.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Put a price tag on your passion - Despite several years as an undergrad, Mecca couldn't figure out what she was supposed to be doing. When she picked up a camera she couldn’t get enough. After getting paid for her services she realized that photography could be a money-maker for her.
Learning on the job - Mecca took a job at an advertising agency, allowing her to become better at her craft while being around creative individuals. She’s also had a lot of experience in customer service and was able to translate it into her business.
Building relationships - Mecca understands that people want to do business with people they like and trust. The market is flooded with photographers and she’s been able to develop a loyal customer base by humanizing her business and brand, building excellent relationships with clients.
Overcoming resistance - Mecca has had to overcome a lot of resistance along the way. She was initially resistant to make money from teaching and coaching and it’s taken a lot of conscious effort to recognize her value and hone in on what her pricing structure should be.
How creatives should set their price - A lot of creatives undercharge and it’s easy to get into the game of trying to undercut competitors. Mecca had to discover how to increase her value with HER price point instead of lowering the price and taking away her value from clients.
Want some help scaling your group coaching program at a price you’re proud of? You can grow beyond six figures without offering discounts, downsells or dumping a ton of money into paid ads.

How This Launch Expert Elevated The Evergreen Model with Micah White
27 Jan 2021
00:43:09
This episode features the fabulous Micah Nicole, one of the first contractors I ever hired in my own business, and it’s been a privilege to be able to watch her elevate her price points and do some amazing work with some of the most influential course creators and coaching program facilitators in our industry.
Micah is a millionaire in the making, and in this episode, she gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how she’s been able to niche down and carve out her own lane in a saturated market to enroll eight thousand dollar clients into her program.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Igniting the spark - While Micah was landing some four-figure clients with web design, it wasn’t making her happy. Taking a step back and figuring out what she was passionate about ignited the spark and led her to launch her signature service and achieve success.
Do your market research - Micah was initially hesitant to set a high price tag. One way she overcame her money mindset was to look at competitors in the market. She realized they were charging four-figures for less robust services than what she was able to provide.
Be efficient - Micah doesn’t like to do more work than she has to. This efficient approach allows her to hone in on the work that’s needed to get the optimal results for herself and her clients.
Document your process - Micah understands that her audience’s needs don’t change. She has a clearly defined and efficient process to follow which allows some room to customize where necessary.
Work out your “discipline muscle” - To achieve success in business, Micah recommends working out and getting it together in your personal life. Every time she works out she’s training her “discipline muscle” which transfers over to business.

3 Things Every Successful Coach Must Prioritize Once They Surpass $10k Months
20 Jan 2021
01:21:52
In today’s episode, I’m going to be sharing the three aspects of time management that you need to know about as you’re reaching full capacity in your business.
This is especially important if you run a six-figure coaching business or you’re well on the path to six-figures. You’re probably noticing that your methods of time management are changing and your situation is different from when you were a solopreneur in hustle mode to launch your signature service and land clients.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
What season are you in? - In order to determine what you should be prioritizing, you first need to identify which season of business you’re in. Unless you’re making over $8k a month in revenue, your focus should be on selling your services and enrolling high ticket clients.
Have you reached your capacity limit? - When your capacity reaches its limit you need to consider changing your business model. Is your current business model sustainable? If not, you need to hone in on your one core offer and sales process, becoming the leading person that solves that particular problem.
Become a CEO - When you’re making more than $10k a month, you need to stop thinking of yourself as a founder and start showing up as a CEO. Put yourself on the payroll and think of yourself as the person that ultimately runs your business, just like the CEO of any corporation does.
Managing expectations - Is your effort aligned with your expectations? You have to clearly define what success looks like for you and be committed to doing whatever is required to achieve it.
Question assumptions and check in with beliefs - As you grow you have to check in with your assumptions and beliefs. If your assumptions are derived from negative beliefs (many of which were rooted in childhood trauma) then you’ll sabotage your growth. Mindset work is essential.
Want to experience sustainable growth for your coaching business WITHOUT hiring 5 new employees, WITHOUT spending five figures on paid ads, WITHOUT offering discounts or downsells?

How To Pivot In Order To Protect Your Online Coaching Business
13 Jan 2021
01:19:43
In this episode, I’m going to be raw and honest with you. We’re going to talk about what really matters. Even though you may not like everything you’re going to hear, it comes from a place of love and wanting you to get rich as you thrive in business and life.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Update your message - Whatever marketing and messaging you were using a few weeks ago it’s probably not going to be relevant in today’s market climate. The coronavirus has changed the game and clients’ pain points are more visible right now than they have ever been before.
Pivoting your promise - Does your promise meet the necessity of potential clients? Right now, people and businesses don’t have resources to spend on luxuries and niceties. They need their basic needs to be fulfilled. Your promise, therefore, needs to align with the basic necessities of clients.
Don’t project your limiting money beliefs onto clients - You have to recognize your limiting beliefs and understand that while people have less money in their pockets than before, they’re not completely broke. Aligning with what people need and confidently offering them a specific and tangible solution will ensure you’re as profitable as ever.
Keep selling - For a transformation to take place there must first be a transaction. Don’t give away your solution for free and don’t give discounts. People are still paying and in order to pay your bills, you have to keep selling and serving clients.
How big before you pivot? - If you’re only making $20k - $40k a year then you need to continue making sales at a premium rate and doing excellent 1:1 client work. When you’re well beyond this threshold and operating at full capacity you need to consider pivoting your business model and leveraging beyond 1:1.
You and I both know that it’s time that you take full ownership of your expertise. Finally learn how to clarify your program promise, articulate your value, and organically launch your $3k - $10k group coaching program.

Embrace your passion - A lot of people wonder if they’re actually good enough for someone to want to pay them. Sheila is a great example of how to work through mindset blocks and make your passion your business.

Q&A: Advice For A First Year Ceo, How Much 1:1 Time To Include In A Coaching Package And More
30 Dec 2020
00:22:06
It’s time for a quick Q&A.
Even though this episode is relatively short and sweet, it contains a few nuggets that you’re not going to want to miss.
Tune in to discover:
What advice I would give a first-year CEO,
What you should be focusing on if you’re just starting out,
Mistakes I made in my first year of business,
My mission and response to the current political climate,
Evolving into the role of CEO, and
The importance of 1:1 client time.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
You’re not a CEO yet - If you’ve been in business for only a year then it’s best to stop thinking of yourself as a CEO. You’re the business founder and you need to work up to becoming a CEO once your business is well established.
Where should your focus be? - Don’t try and solve problems that aren’t even problems yet. If you’re starting out, there are a lot of business problems that aren’t relevant to you in the early stages of business. Instead, focus on how you can articulate your value, raise your rates, and make money.
How has my message changed under the current political climate? - My mission has always been to increase the representation of women of color in higher-level leadership roles. Therefore, given the current political situation we’re in, my message is consistent and more relevant than ever before.
Becoming a CEO - Learning to sell is vital but there are so many other things that you need to know about when running a business in the long-run. Evolving into the CEO role of your business involves understanding the data and learning to make critical decisions.
How important is 1:1 time - People don’t enroll in coaching programs based on the amount of time you give them. What’s more important than time is the promise of your offer and the results you can get.
If you’re booked out with private 1:1 clients, ready to raise the price of your successful digital course or want a new revenue stream beyond retainer clients, I invite you to apply.

What Type Of Content Should You Create In Your Coaching Business?
23 Dec 2020
00:18:44
Are you struggling to get consistent results from your content? Do you know what kind of content creator you are?
In today’s episode, you’re going to discover which of the 3 types of content creator (The Consumer, The Creator, The Publisher) you are, and what kind of content strategy you should be pursuing in your coaching business to get the results you want.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
“The Consumer” - Consumers tend to follow everyone and are constantly consuming content. Consumers are so busy watching others’ content that they struggle to show up and present themselves.
“The Creator” - Creators are focused on publishing content. They typically push their own content over and over again. While they tend to get plenty of likes, they may struggle with attracting qualified prospects and converting clients.
“The Critic” - If you’re selling a high ticket item then you need to be a critic. Critics challenge the beliefs of their audience. They share their perspectives on topical and relevant issues that their audience is currently experiencing.
Quality over quantity - It’s not about posting regurgitating other peoples’ content just for the sake of it. What’s more important is a consistent message that displays quality over quantity.
Challenge beliefs - If you’re a critic, you’re not teaching people how to do something but you’re teaching people how to think. You’re challenging their point of view in a way that opens them up to something they’ve never considered before.
Every day, we help coaches and DFY providers, like you, transform their 1:1 service into a SUSTAINABLE online coaching business that is set up to automate the necessary aspects of your offer so you have the energy to show up, serve your clients and increase your business growth month after month.

How Overcoming The Fear Of Niching Down Helped This Curriculum Consultant Convert Multiple 4-Figure Clients with Zakiya Williams-Spears
Zakiya is a mom, wife, and community educator dedicated to developing more equitable learning spaces for youth and adult learners. She’s the founder of Cultur-Ed™ Consulting, a full service educational consulting firm with a mission to inspire social change through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Expand your circle - When starting out in business, Zakiya didn’t have many entrepreneurs around her to talk to. She looked for inspiration and people to help her on her mission by going out and expanding her circle.
Start broad and then find your niche - Zakiya, like many others, initially wanted to help everyone achieve all their goals. She feels that starting broad is OK while you learn to dial in on what your specific niche and signature service should be along the way.
Resistance is normal - To become a butterfly a caterpillar must push through a lot of resistance in order to leave the cocoon. Zakiya is a great example of how you need to keep going during those moments when you experience resistance. Being part of a like-minded community helps.
Don’t expect overnight success - Zakiya is in it for the long run. She trusts in the process and is patient enough to show up consistently in order to achieve success. She’s always learning and evolving.
Niching-down to get tangible results - When Zakiya provided a general, broad service, her clients reported “feeling better,” but there were limited tangible results. Niching down has allowed her to get specific, life-changing transformations for her clients.

How To Overcome Fear Of Failure And Rejection In Sales
09 Dec 2020
00:48:31
The success of your business completely depends upon your ability to sell. I understand it’s not easy to get over your fear of sales and bouncing back after being rejected is hard.
That’s why I’m going to be going through the three main things that people tend to get wrong and what you need to do to set yourself up for success in sales.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Never worry about possible rejections - You don’t have to over-perfect your sales techniques before you even try to sell. Focusing on potential negative scenarios can stop you from even trying to sell in the first place. It’s time to shift your perspective to something more empowering.
Is a prospect the “right fit?” - Your focus in a sales call should be to determine whether or not a prospect is the right fit for your service. Help them make the right decision whether it’s to work with you or not.
Rejection doesn’t mean you’re a failure - Do you feel like every rejection is a failure? It’s easy to find yourself on a downward spiral. Lowering prices and discounting your services may seem like the right thing to do, but it’s not. Rejection does NOT mean failure!
Are you in rejection rehab? - Some people take weeks or months to get over a sales rejection. Others won’t get on a sales call because they’re worried about taking a stranger’s money. If you’re in rejection rehab you need to check yourself out immediately. Put yourself out there and talk about the value you have to offer.
Hearing “no” is normal - You can be the world’s best salesperson and you’re still going to hear no. Rejections and objections are normal. Instead of trying to get prospects to buy, your goal is to help them to make the best decision.
Want some help scaling your group coaching program at a price you’re proud of? You can grow beyond six figures without offering discounts, downsells or dumping a ton of money into paid ads.

3 Reasons Why Your Messaging Is Attracting Prospects Who Aren't Ready To Invest
02 Dec 2020
00:27:10
Today’s episode features an issue that many coaches face, but have trouble pinpointing where the exact problem lies.
If you want to attract clients that convert then you’ll want to tune in. Grab your notebooks and get ready, because I’m going to be teaching you how to create and deliver a clear message that gets you the results you desire.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Do you have a clear program promise? - You can’t expect to attract qualified prospects if there’s a disconnect between what your offer provides and your prospects’ ability to understand the value it brings to them then. Your message needs to reinforce your value proposition.
Have you defined your positioning? - It’s important to define how you want people to perceive you. You have to train your audience to perceive you in the way you want to be perceived and apply the appropriate angle to achieve this in your marketing.
Teach people how to think - If you’re selling a high ticket item then you can’t use “how-to” articles. The psychology behind high ticket buying is completely different from that of an ebook. Instead of teaching people what to do, you have to teach them how to think.
Are you delivering your message? - Are you showing up and putting out live steam videos and chatting to your audience? Creating content behind the scenes is important but you can’t expect people to align with your messaging if you’re not showing up and delivering a message.
You are capable of doing hard things - Being courageous enough to show up and allowing your voice to be heard is hard. I understand that. But, I believe in you. I believe you are capable of doing hard things if you’re committed.

How This Overworked Virtual Assistant Is On Her Way To Crossing The $500k Mark By Launching High Ticket Group Coaching Programs with Tasha Booth
25 Nov 2020
00:50:05
This episode features the powerful Tasha Booth, someone in the online space that I’ve been admiring for a while.
In this episode, Tasha gives a behind-the-scenes look at how she went from being an overworked VA to successfully leveraged her business into a multi-six-figure agency with over 20 members.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
What is your “why”? - As an overworked virtual assistant, Tasha began asking herself “What is it that I want to do? What is it that I love doing? What is it that I’m really good at?” These deep questions started the process of figuring out what her signature service was.
Are you maxed out? - When Tasha was maxed out with 25 clients as a solopreneur, she had to change her business model. Since she enjoyed collaborating with others she decided to evolve her business into an agency. She is living proof that you can hustle yourself to six figures. But, this is usually the point when you need to pivot.
From “I” to “we” - When Tasha pivoted to an agency model, she needed to learn to let go of trying to do everything herself and train others to do parts of her job. This shift allowed her to focus on being a CEO.
Strategic focus - Tasha and her team carry out an annual plan to decide what the following year will look like. This ensures rash decisions aren’t made and she can take the time to ensure necessary infrastructure and processes are in place before anything new is introduced.
Overcoming mindset barriers - One of the biggest limiting beliefs that Tasha has faced is “no one will pay that.” She overcomes her doubts by finding other people who have “already done it.” This lets her know what is possible.

Most people don’t understand that you have to get way more specific than just knowing your area of specialization. You have to peel back all the layers and realize whether your niche is actually specific enough to attract high quality-clients.
In this episode I’m going to be breaking niching down into three layers:
Career category
Business niche
Signature service
This knowledge is essential if you want to land clients with a four (or five) figure price tag.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
What is a niche? - From a business perspective, a niche appeals to a small, specialized section of the population.
Career category - The first layer of niching down is your career category. This would be a general job title, such as an attorney, accountant, or health coach. Getting down to this level is only OK if you’re selling something relatively inexpensive, such as an ebook.
Business niche - The second layer of niching down is your business niche. This is your subject niche within your career category.
Signature service - The third and final layer of niching down is your signature service. Niching down to this level usually comes with a lot of resistance. However, if you’re not drilling down to this level of specificity you’re leaving a lot of money on the table.
Specialists get paid more than generalists - When you get super-specific, you’re going to find that you also have a very specific process that you can walk your clients through in order to achieve the results they want. This is what allows you to charge a higher price tag.
You and I both know that it’s time that you take full ownership of your expertise. Finally learn how to clarify your program promise, articulate your value, and organically launch your $3k - $10k group coaching program.

Why You Suck At Selling (And 4 Ways To Fix It)
11 Nov 2020
00:22:24
Listening to this episode will help you take a client through a journey and set yourself up for success.
I’m going to help you turn things around by giving you FOUR ways to fix your broken sales process. I want to ensure you can meet your revenue goals and confidently convert clients with ease.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
High ticket sales - It’s important to understand that selling a high ticket tiem is completely different from selling a low ticket item. The buyer psychology and processes required are completely different.
What do we mean by a “sales process”? - A sales process isn’t about automated tools and complicated sales funnels. It’s a predefined set of interactions for identifying, qualifying, and converting prospects. You need to have your steps fully defined and documented.
Identification prospects - You need to not only attract your ideal client but you need to repel those who you’re service is not for. If you have to beg for prospects to be your clients then you’re not attracting the right prospects.
Qualifying prospects - What’s your screening process? You need to be clear on who can get on a sales call. Your sales process needs to weed out those who aren’t fit for your program.
Converting prospects - Your sales process needs to convert. Just because you know you can help, your prospect also needs to believe it. It’s your job to communicate this. If you’re struggling to close, then I recommend checking out http://jereshiahawk.com/rightresponse.
Also, if you haven’t done so already, subscribe to the podcast. I’m adding a bunch of bonus episodes to the feed and, if you’re not subscribed, there’s a good chance you’ll miss out.

How This London Based Career Coach Used The Champagne Closer™ Method To Overcome Her Struggle With Sales Call with Janine Esbrand
04 Nov 2020
00:45:24
My guest on this episode is the awesome Janine Esbrand, a London based corporate and commercial lawyer who enrolled in Leverage after traditional online launch methods failed to yield the results she wanted.
With 12 years of experience in the legal industry and a drive to find solutions that support her growth, Janine is very inspiring to listen to. This episode is especially interesting if you struggle to confidently close clients on sales calls.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Are you using the right method? - Janine tried using a membership model for her first launch. Although she had some success, she realized she wasn’t going to hit her revenue goals and wasn’t attracting fully committed clients. This caused her to shift her approach and find a better method.
Realize your value - Even though she was hesitant to charge a high price tag, Janine thought hard about the value she was bringing to the table and the results she could get for clients. After this, she knew she needed to sell a high-ticket item.
Thriving through COVID - Despite having invested in Leverage just before the international break-out of COVID, Janine remained fully committed to the process. With more and more people needing a career change, she’s found her services are more relevant than ever.
Qualify your leads - Janine always questions whether a prospect is the right person for her program. Rather than trying to make a sale, she now tries to ensure that she’s only attracting clients that will be a good fit.
Learning how to close consistently - When Janine began using the Champagne Closer™ Method, she learned to shift her focus from trying to make the sale, to helping people understand what they wanted and help them make the right decision. This instantly turned around her sales performance.
If you’re booked out with private 1:1 clients, ready to raise the price of your successful digital course or want a new revenue stream beyond retainer clients, I invite you to apply.

Why Selling $15,000 Programs Is Simpler Than Selling $1,500 Programs
28 Oct 2020
00:32:34
If you’ve been in business for a while and don’t want to be doing 1:1 forever then it may be time to leverage what you’ve got.
1:1 is a great way to start out as you get used to landing high ticket-clients and refining your process. However, after you have three to five clients, it becomes advantageous to shift your business model to a high-ticket group program, which is exactly what we do with our Leverage program.
We’ve helped many clients go above and beyond six-figures. In this episode, I’m going to be discussing one of the keys to achieving this high level of success.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Commit and follow through - If you’re on a coaching program to help you launch your product or service then you need to be all-in. You need to commit to the process and follow through with the launch.
Why is it easier to sell a $15,000 program? - The psychology of a buyer looking at a $15,000 program is completely different from a buyer looking at a $1,500 program. Anyone considering the higher price tag understands the value and return that such an investment will yield.
Attract reliable and committed clients - If you’re selling a program with a $15,000 price tag you’ll experience far less failed payments than if you’re selling at $1,500. Also, because your clients have invested so much, they’ll be fully committed to showing up and doing the work required.
Resistance never goes away - Each time you reach a new level in business and your financial life, it’s normal to experience resistance and feel discomfort. Instead of trying to avoid the discomfort, recognize that it’s a normal part of the process that can be helped with mindset work.
The power of group coaching - Even with the best process in place, if you’re unwilling to shift your beliefs you’ll never move forward. Working with peers in a group coaching program is one of the best ways to continually recognize and shift limiting beliefs that would have gone undiscovered.
Every day, we help coaches and DFY providers, like you, transform their 1:1 service into a SUSTAINABLE online coaching business that is set up to automate the necessary aspects of your offer so you have the energy to show up, serve your clients and increase your business growth month after month.

Is Lowering Your Price The Only Way To Increase Sales?
21 Oct 2020
00:22:36
Do you believe that lowering your price will increase sales?
If you’re launching your signature service for the first time or you’ve been in the game for a few months and not getting the sales you expected, this episode will help.
It’s way harder to sell something for free than with a price tag. If I see something for free then I tend to stay clear of it and question its true value.
So, how should you go about setting your price? Tune in to find out more.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
A lower price doesn’t mean less friction - It’s normal to experience a lot of friction when you’re new to the market. While lowering your price may seem like a good idea to reduce friction, it won’t. This is a limiting belief that you need to overcome.
Communicate your true value - When it comes to your service, you understand its true value. However, your prospects don’t yet understand this. It’s your job as a seller to communicate what you can do for your prospects in a way that they will comprehend.
Don’t underestimate the importance of price - When it comes to sales, I believe price is the most important factor. It demonstrates the level of value your clients can expect. A high price tag communicates quality and attracts high-quality clientele.
Don’t take the easy way out - Experiencing rejection and having prospects trying to haggle can be damaging to your confidence. Instead of taking the easy way out and offering discounts, you should enhance your ability to communicate your value.
Raise your rates - If you’re lacking confidence and struggling to overcome sales objections then check out jereshiahawk.com/rightresponse. With the right attitude and tools, you can raise your rates and learn to become a beast at sales.
Raising your rate takes more effort than just deciding on a new price. Then comes the work of addressing the objections, effectively articulating your value in your marketing content, and designing curriculum that delivers on the promise you sold the client into. Need some help with this?

How This Conversion Copywriter Is Scaling Beyond Five Figure Done For Your Launch Projects With A Coaching Program with Christine Blubaugh
14 Oct 2020
00:41:06
This episode features the fabulous Christine Blubaugh, a successful copywriter, and coach that’s been able to transition from food blogger and health coach to establishing a copywriting business that’s expanding beyond landing five figure clients.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Do you need to change direction? - Christine spent a decade studying and working in the health and wellness industry. However, after struggling with her own health problems she realized that a change of direction was needed and writing would be better suited to her.
Do what comes natural - It’s easy to overlook the skill sets that come naturally to us. Christine realized she’d always been a writer and it was one of her natural talents. More importantly, there were people out there that needed help with writing.
Get on the radar - Christine didn’t start out making cold pitches and using hard selling tactics. She got on the radar of potential clients, taking a very personal approach. She worked hard to establish great relationships before trying to land clients.
Confidence through experience - Christine has confidence in being able to prescribe solutions to clients rather than letting her clients wrongly tell her what to do. Her vast experience allows her to understand if something is going to work or not.
Transitioning to a leveraged offer - Christine had several ideas for online products, but nothing really excited her. After a couple of years of pondering a leveraged offer, she realized her niche and passion was in writing for social media. She allowed her idea to evolve and tested various components out before eventually launching.

5 Reasons Why Your Content Isn't Converting (And How To Change It)
07 Oct 2020
00:34:26
If you’re a service provider, and your primary method of enrolling clients is via organic content then you’re not going to want to miss this episode. I’m going to be going through the five reasons your content isn’t converting and what you need to change in order to land your ideal clients.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Focus on one clear promise - When introducing a high ticket item, many people try to introduce more offers to sell. Instead, you need to focus on one clear promise and speak to a clearly defined audience rather than trying to capture everybody.
Whose opinion are you listening too? - Being too worried about everyone else’s opinion can hold you back. You only need to focus on the opinions of qualified leads and people with relevant experience.
Whose problem are you solving? - Stop focusing on your problems and start focusing on the problems of prospective clients. Your business doesn't exist to serve you, it exists to solve someone else’s problem.
Are you playing hard to get? - Stop waiting for people to speak to you. As a business owner, you need to be proactive and be the first one to start a conversation.
Learn to overcome sales objections - Do you offer a discount or down-sell the first time you hear a sales objection? Sales objections and rejections are inevitable. It’s part of the game. You need to learn to overcome them rather than thinking something’s wrong with you as a business coach.

The Ramp Up: What I've Learned From Selling One Program For 3 Years
30 Sep 2020
00:42:26
If you have trouble being consistent then today’s episode could be insightful and enlightening for you. There’s a lot of profitability when you focus on selling ONE thing for an extended period of time. It’s how you build a healthy foundation for your business and set yourself up for long-term sustainability.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Stay focused - When starting out it’s easy to give up, change direction, or try to create another offer. Patience is vital and it’s important not to make rash decisions until you’ve accumulated sufficient data.
It’s not as simple as creating a dope product - If you merely try to create a dope product and mimic what someone else is doing you’re unlikely to achieve long-term success. You need to have a full service that will get results for your clients.
It’s a continuous process - Even after 500 successful clients and three years in business, we’re still refining and improving our signature program. As you gain experience it’s important not to get complacent and continue evolving what you have.
You’re not going to solve everything - As human beings, your clients have a million problems. It’s not your responsibility to solve them all. It is your job, however, to be the best in the business at solving that one specific problem that you’re being hired for.
Focus on what matters - It’s easy to get distracted and caught up in trends. You need to stay super-focused, refining your processes to improve the experience while acting on revenue-generating activities.
Want to experience sustainable growth for your coaching business WITHOUT hiring 5 new employees, WITHOUT spending five figures on paid ads, WITHOUT offering discounts or downsells?

How To Prepare Your Quarterly Business Planning
16 Sep 2020
00:45:52
Do you struggle with quarterly business planning? Or, do you avoid it altogether? These essential tasks can be tough if you don’t have the right mindset to begin with.
In this episode, I’m going to be sharing some very specific ideas and practices that position me to achieve my goals and give my company what it needs to move forward and thrive.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
The importance of a morning routine - When I work through a solid and wholesome morning ritual I always feel energized for the day ahead. Simple things like drinking a nourishing smoothie and taking a quick walk with the dog can make all the difference when you have a busy day of planning ahead.
Start with a clean slate - Before I begin planning I set a timer for 15 minutes and dump out all thoughts and feelings that are weighing on myself. This includes personal things as well as work and helps me express emotions. Then I can begin my quarterly planning with a clean slate.
From “founder” to “CEO” mentality - After making your first six figures, you need to adjust your thinking from being a founder to being a CEO with the purpose of running and growing your business.
Gather and review the data - To know what you want to achieve you first have to look at past performance. Review all the key metrics of the past quarter and use these figures to make projections. Then ask yourself what actions are needed to achieve your goals.
Don’t complain about your audience - Your audience is a reflection of your own behavior. If you’re not consistently showing up and projecting the right way then you can’t expect to attract an audience that converts.

Are You Coaching Your Clients Or Crippling Them?
09 Sep 2020
00:44:25
Deep down, are you afraid that your clients may not get the results you promised? Is this holding you back from niching down and raising your rates?
There’s a big difference between enabling your clients and empowering them to stand on their own two feet and achieve sustainable results after you’ve finished working with them.
In order to maximize the potential of this episode, you’ll want to get your notebook out to jot anything that comes up. I’m going to be asking you to be honest with yourself as we tackle this together.
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Are you coaching or crippling your clients? - When a client has a problem, do you instantly give them the solution or do you give them the resources they need to be able to solve their problems?
Your clients must do the work - As a coach, it is NOT your responsibility to get your clients their results. It’s your responsibility to provide a framework and support them through their transformation. It’s a two-way commitment and your client must commit to doing the necessary work.
Be selective - If a client can’t commit to putting in the work, we don’t let them enroll in our program. You need to be selective, ensuring you only take on clients of a high enough caliber.
Ask the right questions - The ability to ask questions is a high-level skill set. When a client has a problem, it’s your responsibility to ask the right questions. This gets your client thinking about how to solve their problems.
Are you projecting? - Beware that you’re not projecting your own limiting beliefs onto your clients. You need to observe objectively, listen to their beliefs, and help them discover what’s untrue as they become the best versions of themselves.
If you’re booked out with private 1:1 clients, ready to raise the price of your successful digital course or want a new revenue stream beyond retainer clients, I invite you to apply.
Also, if you haven’t done so already, subscribe to the podcast. I’m adding a bunch of bonus episodes to the feed and, if you’re not subscribed, there’s a good chance you’ll miss out.

The Blessings Of Obedience
30 Aug 2020
00:29:12
I recorded this episode while running errands to share the testimony of the overflow of favor and abundance God has blessed me with during this season. One thing I have been learning since I started this business back in 2016 and a lesson I have been especially learning during 2020 is that our obedience always brings blessings. This episode is a pure testimony of how aligned discipline and obedience has radically advanced my life in every area.
Raising your rate takes more effort than just deciding on a new price. Then comes the work of addressing the objections, effectively articulating your value in your marketing content, and designing curriculum that delivers on the promise you sold the client into. Need some help with this?

Time for a pause? - If you’ve been in business for a while and you’re still not seeing financial consistency then it could be time for a pause to reevaluate your business model and ensure you’re focusing on the right thing.
What’s the real value of an online business? - If you operate an online business then you have a big advantage over a lot of traditional businesses. Low overheads mean you can be profitable from day 1.

You Can't Be A Bad Buyer And A Good Seller
19 Aug 2020
00:42:30
In this episode, I’m going to help you address a mental block you were probably never aware of.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Transaction before transformation - For a transformation to occur, a transaction has to take place first. A conversation is what’s required to initiate, complete the sale, and set the scene for what’s to come.
What kind of buyer are you? - What goes through your mind when you make a buying decision? You need to become aware of this because your mindset as a buyer inevitably translates into your selling process.
Qualify your clients - As a coach with a premium price tag, you’re going to be having an intimate relationship with your clients. You need to be working solely with clients who are willing to follow the processes you’re laying out. Always ensure you qualify your clients.
Are you showing up? - You’ll struggle to build a business if you’re unwilling to talk to people. Especially if you want to sell high-ticket. You need to be willing to interact on social media, show your face, and get in front of prospective clients.
Don’t get caught up in an ego trap - After getting some success I went through a few months of thinking I could sit back and live the “laptop lifestyle.” I was wrong. I needed to get my ego in check and realize: to get to the next level you have to keep working and consistently put in the extra effort.

How This Done For You Social Media Consultancy Is Sustainably Scaling Beyond $250K with Andrea Jones
12 Aug 2020
00:38:48
This episode features the wonderful Andrea Jones, a super-successful social media entrepreneur who’s committed to high-quality client work and her online community.
Andrea has had to figure a lot of things out along the way which makes this episode truly fascinating to any aspiring entrepreneur...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Hustling for clients - In the early days, Andrea learned by hustling on freelancer sites and pitching for jobs to get clients. Sales is a contact sport and you have to be willing to go out there and put in the work to get clients.
Retain and maintain - To improve and maintain consistent cash flow, Andrea started doing more reporting to add value to her service. This ensured clients would stay with her and she didn’t have to keep going out to get more clients. She also started raising her prices.
Added brainpower - Once she reached full capacity, Andrea decided she needed a team. This not only enabled her to delegate a lot of day-to-day tasks but she also found that having more brains working together added a whole new level to the capabilities of the business.
Hardships of hiring - When it comes to hiring, Andrea has learned two lessons… the hard way! After getting lucky with her first hire, she assumed everyone would have a high work ethic and be super-accountable which was a mistake. Secondly, after hiring top talent, she hadn’t yet put business procedures in place to help team members thrive. As a result, her cash flow was hit hard.
Refusing the agency route - Andrea wants to be 100% responsible for the strategy and the results that the strategy gets for her clients. This goes against what a typical agency business model looks like. She’s set up a hybrid model to maintain a high quality of client work, running her business in a way that suits her.

Q&A: How Do I Know If My Signature Service Is Specific Enough?
05 Aug 2020
00:43:29
One of the biggest struggles my clients have is getting their head around what their offer should be. Once you’ve selected your signature service, how do you know if it’s specific enough? And, how do you sell it consistently?
In this episode, I’m not only going to walk you through the three levels of specificity that you need but I’m going to tell you a few things that you NEED to hear right now. I’m in full-passion mode, so tune in, buckle up and get ready...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
It takes time - If you’re moving too fast, it’s usually not sustainable. Accept that your first 3-5 years in business will be a constant state of refinement. These adaptations are not the same thing as starting all over again. They’re a sign that you’re evolving as you find your niche, change your positioning, and adapt your business processes.
What’s your overarching category? - This is a general category that you fall within. For example, you may be a marketing consultant or a business coach. The problem is that a lot of people stop there. They name their profession and don’t specify their service.
What’s your business niche? - This is your specialty or area of focus. For example, a web designer may focus exclusively on WordPress sites.
What’s your signature service? - What is the result you’re delivering? This is where things usually get difficult as you have to define the specific service you provide. Get super clear on the problem you’re solving.
How to know if your service is specific enough - Ask yourself: is there a recipe that someone else could follow to get my result? If not then you need to keep drilling down. I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy. But you can do it! Forget about things like positioning, content creation, and sales until you get down to the necessary level of specificity.
You are now the answer to someone else’s prayer - What’s holding you back? I believe that you have everything you need to go out there and sell your services…. And get paid a high-ticket price. You need to believe in yourself, be bold, and be transparent.
You and I both know that it’s time that you take full ownership of your expertise. Finally learn how to clarify your program promise, articulate your value, and organically launch your $3k - $10k group coaching program.

What Kind Of Entrepreneur Are You? Understanding Your Entrepreneurial Archetype
29 Jul 2020
00:30:04
Understanding your entrepreneurial archetype can be insanely helpful when making business decisions and learning to sell your services consistently.
That’s why in this episode, I’m going to help you discover what type of entrepreneur you are, the traps of each type, and what you need to focus on...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Sales are essential - Regardless of your entrepreneurial archetype and personality, you have to get comfortable with sales. Communicating what value you bring to the table and inviting people to hire you is something you have to get good at.
What type of offer? - Do you want to create your own intellectual property? If so, you can revolve your business around this. If not, maybe it’s better to revolve your business model around supporting someone else’s intellectual property.
Mission-driven entrepreneurs - If you’re a mission-driven entrepreneur, you have a strong, higher-calling that drives you. However, you need to beware that you’re not so focused on making a difference that you neglect the long-term financial viability of your business. You need to get to grips with the number to ensure you fulfill your mission.
Expert entrepreneurs - If you’re an expert entrepreneur then you're starting your business after gaining years of experience and expertise in a certain field. A common problem with experts is that they may neglect to learn the business side of things and sign up clients in their pursuit of producing high-quality work.
Lifestyle entrepreneur - A lifestyle entrepreneur typically starts a business in order to establish their ideal lifestyle. This can be a problem if you lack the drive required to build a successful business in the first place. By treating your business like a hobby you may never earn the money needed to finance your desired lifestyle.

How This E-Commerce Branding Consultant Kept Going When Doubts And Fears Were Holding Her Back with Aleah Robbins
22 Jul 2020
00:39:00
This episode features the fabulous Aleah Robbins who’s a great example for anyone who wants to overcome the fear of moving forward.
She signed up for Services That Sell after she discovered this very podcast and decided to schedule a call with me. At the time she had just started her business and was scared at the thought of doing live videos and selling.
Now, she’s getting out there and building alliances, growing her business, landing speaking engagements, and so much more...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Document the process - Aleah was super scared at the thought of going live on video. Yet, when I gave her the advice to just document the process that she was going through, it allowed her to keep things simple and get her first video out there.
Feel afraid and make the commitment - Even though Aleah feels the fear, she’s committed to doing the work. This has allowed her to become successful in short time span. She sees the bigger picture and realizes what she’s doing it for. She admits that you’re going to be uncomfortable either way, whether you go for it or do nothing.
Get super specific - If you want to get results and have the impact you want, then Aleah points out that you have to get specific. Niche down, pick one problem and pick one person that you’re going to solve it for.
Overcoming doubt and slowing down - Aleah admits that she used to always be in a rush. Now, she wakes up a bit earlier and gives herself more time. This has allowed her to gain a greater awareness of herself and her feelings and do what it takes to overcome them.
Create a process and package your service - Aleah has been able to offer a comprehensive package that her clients need. Beforehand she would do things in bits and pieces. Taking note of typical client questions and teaching clients what they needed to know about branding is how she was able to create a packaged service.
If you’re booked out with private 1:1 clients, ready to raise the price of your successful digital course or want a new revenue stream beyond retainer clients, I invite you to apply.

3 Things To Consider When Pricing Your Coaching Program
15 Jul 2020
00:22:45
Pricing is something that can definitely be tricky. There are a lot of things to consider beyond hitting your income goals. Price is of particular importance if you’re about to sell your first service, or if you’re looking to release a new program that leverages your current offering.
So, if you’re struggling with pricing then you’ll want to tune in to this episode. You’re going to learn about the three factors that really matter when you set your price.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
A coaching program isn’t the same as a digital course - If you’re pricing a coaching program the same way that you’d price a digital course then you’re probably selling yourself short and leaving money on the table. Coaching provides so much more value than a DIY course.
What’s the promise you’re delivering? - The price of your program should be heavily dependent on the promise that you’re selling. Before you create a coaching program, you need to get crystal clear on the specific result that you’re guaranteeing.
What support are you providing? - If you’re offering things like group coaching calls, one-on-one coaching, or another form of support then you should be charging more. When deciding on support it should be all about making it easier for clients to achieve results.
What results do you want your clients to achieve? - The bigger the promise, the higher the price. Think about your clients’ return on investment and ensure you can communicate this to them when quoting your price. For me, if a client is paying $10,000, I want to help them make more than $100,000.
Don’t overcomplicate - When you’re working at maximum capacity you need to resist the urge to overcomplicate your business model, marketing strategy, and everything else. If in doubt, keep it simple.
Every day, we help coaches and DFY providers, like you, transform their 1:1 service into a SUSTAINABLE online coaching business that is set up to automate the necessary aspects of your offer so you have the energy to show up, serve your clients and increase your business growth month after month.

How To Find A Business Coach Who's Actually Legit
08 Jul 2020
00:16:51
If you’re ready to invest in a coach or program then you’ll want to tune in to this episode. This gets me excited because I know first hand that having the right coach on your team positions you to have exponential results in your business. That’s why I’ve created an invaluable list of questions to ask any coach you’re thinking of hiring.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Finding a good coach isn’t easy - Anyone can claim to be a coach by writing a catchy bio on their social media page. This makes it particularly challenging when it comes to finding a legit coach.
Ask the right questions - I put together a list of questions that you should be asking a potential coach. Asking the right questions is the best way to qualify the methodology and the person behind the methodology. If you are a coach then you should be asking yourself these questions as well.
Is it clear what their area of expertise is? - You want to make sure that you’re hiring a coach with a specific area of expertise to help you achieve a specific result. If their promise is very general then there’s a good chance that they can’t really help you.
How many services do they sell? - If a coach sells more than two different offers then be aware, especially if it’s a solopreneur (someone that doesn’t have employees or partners). There are only so many things an individual can focus on in a given day and selling three or more offers could mean that your coach has diluted their focus.
How many clients have completed their program? - Signing up a client is great, but the bigger issue is how many of their clients are completing their program and getting the promised results.
Raising your rate takes more effort than just deciding on a new price. Then comes the work of addressing the objections, effectively articulating your value in your marketing content, and designing curriculum that delivers on the promise you sold the client into. Need some help with this?

Bigger Isn't Always Better with Claire Pelletreau
01 Jul 2020
00:51:00
This episode features the wonderful Claire Pelletreau, someone who has truly created her ideal lifestyle as her business has grown. She focuses on consistent quality over potentially burdensome growth, proving that bigger isn’t always better.
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Working with multiples - Claire sells online courses AND runs a mentorship program, she launched because her course clients wanted more. This allowed Claire to charge premium prices. However raising your rates and enrolling clients at your raised rates are two different things. Claire’s mentorship program is hugely transformational for the members because they gain access to her expertise and a whole community for support.
Be an authority and have confidence in your abilities - When working with a client, Claire clearly sets expectations from the beginning. She has such confidence in her expertise that if a client experiences challenges, they trust and rely on her expert explanations without second guessing.
Set your boundaries - Claire has given herself the freedom to be flexible in how she serves clients. She prioritizes her lifestyle over business growth. She doesn’t want the burden of running an agency and only chooses to work with a client if she feels their values align.
Focus on your core offerings - Even though Claire focuses her efforts on her two successful core products it wasn’t always that way. She remembers creating other things that seemed like a good idea and after expensive launches, realized that no one wanted them.
Know when to slow down and when to speed up - “If you’re on the beach, shouldn’t you just enjoy the beach?” Claire knows how to appreciate family and vacation time and points out that it’s a totally different world when you have a kid. There’s a time to speed up, for example, if a client is about to launch a new product, and there’s a time to slow down and focus on life.
Want some help scaling your group coaching program at a price you’re proud of? You can grow beyond six figures without offering discounts, downsells or dumping a ton of money into paid ads.

How To Increase Your Visibility On Facebook
24 Jun 2020
00:29:01
If you’re concerned about a lack in your visibility then this episode is going to be extremely helpful for you. I’m going to give you an introduction into how the social media game is set up, and how you can play it to your advantage.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Understanding platforms - Social media is a vehicle to help amplify your message but your business model should never be 100% reliant on any one platform. If you’re purely reliant on paid advertising then you probably don’t have a sustainable business model.
Knowing how the game works - Remember that Facebook (like all platforms) is a business whose objective is to make money. As a result, a standard post on your Facebook business page will only get 2% organic engagement. This is the algorithm and you have to accept that this is how the game works. Ultimately, Facebook wants you to pay for ads.
The power of going live - Facebook and Instagram prioritize live video. As such, if you go live then you can expect a 10 - 16% organic reach. While this may not seem like much, it’s way higher than the 2% reach of a static post.
The power of repurposing content - In order to spread your message further, you can repurpose content. Sharing a recording of your live video on your Facebook group is an excellent way to do this. You can also transcribe your live videos into written content and even release the audio as a podcast.
Leveraging to maximize return - Why create a separate piece of content for your email list, YouTube, blog, and all other platforms? Instead create a single piece of content and leverage it by repurposing it for all platforms? You have to learn to leverage content to maximize your time and visibility.
Also, if you haven’t done so already, subscribe to the podcast. I’m adding a bunch of bonus episodes to the feed and, if you’re not subscribed, there’s a good chance you’ll miss out.

Q&A: Profit First, My Favorite Planner In 2020, How I Outline My Program Content, And More
17 Jun 2020
00:40:37
After receiving with a bunch of great questions, I thought it was time for a little Q & A. You’ll want to tune in to this episode as I’m going to be answering some of your most popular questions.
You’ll find out what my favorite planner is, what I do for self-care, how I go about creating content, how I structure my time, what you should be focused on, and much much more. I’m even going to be answering your questions about my eyebrows...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
What planner am I using? - Full Focus Planner by Michael Hyatt is now my planner of choice. It’s been created and crafted with the business owner in mind and is based on a 90-day timeframe. I use it every single day.
Do you create 5 separate bank accounts when using Profit First? - Profit First is a business approach (and book) created by Mike Michalowicz that ensures you’re profitable from the very beginning. I highly recommend the method, especially if you’re making less than $250,000 per year. And yes, you need to have multiple bank accounts to help you manage your money. I have a primary checking account and several accounts for tax, expenses, owner’s compensation, etc.
What’s my process for outlining my programs? - Before you think about creating a program, you have to get crystal clear on the end result that a client will accomplish. What’s the promise? When you have this defined you can reverse engineer the process and lay out all the steps of the process that each person will need to go through.
What do I do for self-care? - For me, self-care is all about self-integrity, enforcing boundaries, and honoring what my body is asking of me. For example, when I commit to doing something, I always follow it through whether it’s in my business or my personal life. Other things I do for self-care include both yoga and float tanks. These are great for learning to be more present.
How do I set aside time for myself? - One way ensure I have time to work on my business as a CEO (as opposed to working in my business as an employee) is to keep Mondays free of appointments. The rhythm you work at depends on your personality and the season of business you’re in. When starting out, it helps to determine consistent work hours to ensure you have free time for your family, social life, and other things.
You and I both know that it’s time that you take full ownership of your expertise. Finally learn how to clarify your program promise, articulate your value, and organically launch your $3k - $10k group coaching program.

How This Caribbean Medical Residency Admissions Coach Leveraged Beyond 1:1 Application Services with Shawna-Kaye Lester
Shawna has an emphasis on quality, growing her business in a long-term, sustainable way. She points out that entrepreneurship isn’t about posting pretty pictures on Instagram. It requires a commitment (and re-commitment) every single day. Shawna also has interesting insights into how your personality changes as your business evolves.
If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur then tuning into this episode is a must...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
When to go all-in - Even though Shawna had a highly respectable full-time job, she didn’t feel it was the best way to put her talents to use. She decided to go all-in, finding what she was best at, what made her happy, and what she could really help other people with.
Don’t be afraid to reach out - Shawna initially sold her services to anyone that needed help and found things emotionally difficult. This led her to reach out and seek coaching to help develop the skills needed to build her business.
The resistance is still there - Shawna admits that despite her success she still feels resistance. However, it became easier to overcome these challenges when she stopped accepting different types of clients and instead focused on her niche.
Leveraging - Shawna is constantly evolving her business model. She made the decision to leverage what she had after finding herself repeating certain actions things over and over again. To serve more people, she moved away from the one-on-one business model to a hybrid model that allows her to serve larger groups as well.
The difference between making money and managing money - Shawna is quick to point out the importance of quality. Not only does she provide a quality service to clients, but she also wants a lifestyle that is built around quality. She’s resisted the temptation of growing her business too quickly and focuses on long-term growth, which also allows her to organically grow into the role of a CEO.

3 Reasons Why Discounting Is Destroying Your Sales (And What To Do Instead)
03 Jun 2020
00:23:55
Have you set a premium price for your signature service? If so, do you think it’s a good idea to dilute your services or offer discounts to get potential clients through the door?
Breaking your signature service into little bits and pieces may seem like a good idea. It allows you to offer more products at lower price points. However, it’s not providing clients with the entire process. And the truth is: discounting your prices can destroy your sales in the long run.
In today’s episode, I’m going to be diving into the three reasons why discounting can cause you harm and what you should be focusing on instead.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Conveying confidence - If you’re discounting prices then you need to consider the message you’re sending to potential clients. By cutting prices, you’re suggesting that you’re not 100% confident that you can deliver the results you’re promising.
Cutting into profit - Your job as a business owner is to generate cash flow and discounting reduces profit. Furthermore, if you’re slashing prices then you may start to resent clients that are giving less than they’re getting.
Help prospects understand your value - How do you communicate a value that lets prospects know exactly what their return on investment will be? If they can’t see your true value then it’s your job to help them to see it.
Enhance your positioning - If you’ve raised your rates then your positioning needs to be crystal clear. What makes you uniquely different from the competition? Your marketing needs to overcome the majority of sales objections before you get on a sales call.
Believe in yourself - If there’s a part of you that lacks confidence then you have to stop making decisions based on fear and discomfort. If you’re selling a high-ticket item then you’re someone who knows the value you bring to the table… So start acting like it. Start believing in yourself!
If you’re booked out with private 1:1 clients, ready to raise the price of your successful digital course or want a new revenue stream beyond retainer clients, I invite you to apply.

Do You Feel Guilty About Making More Money?
27 May 2020
00:37:09
If you’ve had a hard time raising your rates and getting the compensation you deserve, then you’re going to want to tune in to this episode. I’ll be sharing some key insights and practical tools to help you get over the guilt and claim what’s rightfully yours.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
You’re capable of rewriting your story - If you have a limiting belief that comes from your past, you have the ability to change it.
Are you projecting - Make sure you don’t project your limiting money beliefs onto your potential clients. Don’t make the buying decision for them. Articulate your value and let them decide for themselves.
What is your intention? - If you really cared about providing excellent service and helping your clients achieve massive transformations, then you wouldn’t care about getting paid what you deserve. Is your true intention to serve? If so, the more money you make, the greater your ability to serve. You can’t help anyone if you’re broke.
How to break a limiting mindset - After identifying each of your limiting money beliefs and their origins, ask yourself whether they are true? Are they serving you today? If not, you can let them go.
How much money is enough? - Why do you need to put a cap on how much money you can have? This is another example of a limiting belief. Why would you want to limit how many millions of dollars you have when you’re not even a millionaire yet? Don’t restrict yourself in the present by putting a limit on your future.
Every day, we help coaches and DFY providers, like you, transform their 1:1 service into a SUSTAINABLE online coaching business that is set up to automate the necessary aspects of your offer so you have the energy to show up, serve your clients and increase your business growth month after month.

Why This Copy Writer Bounced Back After Burning Down Her Successful Agency with Jamie Jensen
20 May 2020
00:37:33
Today’s episode features the amazing Jamie Jenson, who is sooo much more than a copywriter. She's an award-winning screenwriter, storyteller, mentor, and entrepreneur who founded a digital marketing agency that grew 50% year after year for 3 straight years. Not only does she strive to serve clients to the best of her ability but she leads with her heart. You’ll find her insight and perspective are incredibly inspiring...
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Have fun - While writing the copy for her first business website, Jamie noticed she was having so much fun. It was a no-brainer to provide this service to other businesses and brands. Do what you love and you’ll greatly increase the likelihood of success.
Raising the rates - After establishing her business, Jamie had to have several significant shifts in her mindset to raise her rates as she became more business-like in her approach. She came to realize that her services were helping people make more money and she started to take notice of what other people in the market were charging.
Creating processes while serving - When creating her agency, Jamie was very committed to creating strict processes that her team and clients would follow. Even though they were rigid, these processes kept things moving forward and allowed client projects to be completed successfully.
Follow your heart, not your ego - While leading her agency, Jamie began to lose excitement about growing the business. Even though her ego loved being an “agency owner”, her heart didn’t want to pursue it. This led to her going back to what she loved most... working directly with clients to help tell their stories.
Accepting money lost - Jamie has a refreshing perspective on money that she’s “lost” in the past. Even if you spend big on something that doesn’t work out, consider the lessons you’ve learned. Accept that not all your choices will work out the way you want.
Raising your rate takes more effort than just deciding on a new price. Then comes the work of addressing the objections, effectively articulating your value in your marketing content, and designing curriculum that delivers on the promise you sold the client into. Need some help with this?

Choose Your Clients Wisely
13 May 2020
00:23:06
Choosing your clients wisely will not only make you more successful in business, but it can be the difference between happiness and unhappiness in everyday life.
In this episode, I’m going to be sharing how you can go about overcoming any resistance when it comes to choosing your clients more wisely.
Key Highlights of the Episode
This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights:
Do you have a fear of freedom? - While working in the corporate world, many people crave the freedom of choice. However, when they get it, they can often have a fear of making choices for themselves and being decisive.
The power of being selective - The more selective you become when choosing your clients, the better the clients are that you attract. This works in the same way as dating: if you’re willing to accept anyone, you’re probably not going to find the world’s best life partner. Learn to filter and be selective.
Get clear and specific - Define who your ideal client is and decide what problem you’re solving. When you begin effectively articulating the solution you’re providing, the right client will find you.
Is it a good fit? - There are a number of questions you need to ask yourself when you’re assessing a client. If you’re going to be coaching them, are they going to be committed to achieving the result? Are they a good fit for you and your personality?
How to reject a client - Rather than straight-up rejecting a potential client, be honest and explain how you may not be the right person to help them achieve the results they want. Be positive and refer them to a more appropriate service provider if possible.
Want some help scaling your group coaching program at a price you’re proud of? You can grow beyond six figures without offering discounts, downsells or dumping a ton of money into paid ads.

06 May 2020
00:25:48

Phase 1: Money - Your primary focus when you’re starting a business is to convert clients and deliver your service. There’s no point in thinking about things like branding or creating a pretty website until you’ve figured out how to bring in sufficient money.
Phase 2: Manage - Now you know how to sell your services and bring in the cash, you need to learn to manage your business. This includes things like managing your resources, building systems, and investing in marketing.
