| 61. What Do Cornell 7, Sydney Sweeney & Lindsay Clancy Have in Common? With Psychologist Ilia Poznak | 17 oct. 2026 | 00:58:18 | |
They've become symbols. Symbols we use to debate gender, morality, mental health, victimhood, accountability and who we believe is good or evil. In Episode 61 of the Inner Self-Confidence Podcast, I'm joined by registered psychologist and certified executive coach Ilia Poznak for a conversation about something I think we're rapidly losing: our ability to sit in the grey We get into moral typecasting and why our brains want heroes and villains. We talk about virtue signalling, social media, group identity, moral judgement and what happens when a human being becomes a symbol for an entire social issue. We also explore the growing divide between men and women. Are women being taught that men are dangerous while men are being taught that women hate or manipulate them? Can we believe and support victims without turning allegations into internet entertainment? Can we talk about mental illness without removing accountability? Can we condemn someone's behaviour without completely dehumanising them? Can empathy and accountability exist at the same time? And perhaps the question underneath this entire conversation: Are we becoming so determined to prove that we're on the “right” side that we're losing our ability to see each other's humanity? This conversation isn't about telling you what to think. It's about asking whether we're still willing to think for ourselves. 🎙️ IN THIS EPISODE: • Moral typecasting and our need for heroes and villains CONNECT WITH ILIA POZNAK Instagram: Website / 1UP Coaching: CONNECT WITH KATIE Website: Instagram: 🔥 My memoir — Trust the Flames: 🧠 Download FREE Nervous System Toolkit:
| 60.Break The Cycle Before It Breaks You, with Author & Coach, Priscilla Gutiérrez | 10 oct. 2026 | 00:39:57 | |
I sit down with Priscilla — author, activist, coach and self-described cycle breaker — for a raw and honest conversation about childhood trauma, domestic violence, the systems surrounding survivors, and what it actually takes to break a cycle before it breaks you. Priscilla survived childhood sexual abuse by her grandfather and later found herself in a domestic violence relationship. She went on to study law, but ultimately chose not to practise after questioning the very systems that are supposed to protect vulnerable people. We also have an important conversation about modern psychology and therapy. Priscilla shares her own experiences of seeking professional support and, at times, feeling unsupported and further traumatised by the people and systems she turned to for help. We talk about survival mode, shame, self-trust, finding your voice, recognising the less obvious signs of abuse, and the difference between surviving your past and actually creating a life beyond it. And perhaps most importantly: Are generational cycles broken in one huge courageous moment — or through thousands of tiny choices we make differently every single day? Because being a cycle breaker isn't about pretending the past didn't happen. It's deciding: it ends with me. Do you constantly feel like there are never enough hours in the day? What if you don’t actually have a time problem… but an alignment problem? In this episode, I’m sharing my Time Mastery framework and challenging the idea that becoming more productive is the answer. We all get the same 1,440 minutes each day—but where are yours actually going? And more importantly, are they going toward the life you say you want? We’ll explore your values, vision and time, why everything feels urgent when you’re unclear on what matters, how distractions and context-switching steal your attention, and the Zones Framework for protecting both focused work and genuine rest. What happens when you spend thousands of dollars to live in the middle of a desert, covered in dust, with no proper shower… and somehow call it one of the most magical experiences of your life? 😂 Welcome to Burning Man! I met my husband Kenny there in 2015, experienced some of the wildest synchronicities of my life, and discovered a community unlike anything I've ever experienced. But Burning Man is SO much more than a "festival." In this episode, I'm sharing what Burning Man actually is, why I keep going back, the 10 Principles that make it so extraordinary, and six life lessons I've brought home from the desert. 🔥 The 10 Principles of Burning Man:
From a place with no judgement to the freedom of being off the grid...Burning Man has taught me that life isn't meant to be watched from the sidelines. It's meant to be LIVED. Someone doesn’t reply… they’re mad at me. Sound familiar? In this I’m talking about how quickly our nervous system can turn uncertainty into an entire story — and why your first emotional response isn’t always reality. Sometimes, it’s survival. I share a recent experience of being blocked by a friend and how I learned to separate what actually happened from the story my nervous system created. We talk boundaries, rejection, over-apologising, emotional maturity and one powerful question: What else could be true?z Because confidence isn’t believing nothing difficult will happen. | 54. Three Kids. 36 Years Old. Incurable Cancer with Speaker & Cancer Thriver Cass Miller | 29 août 2026 | 00:39:05
At 36, with three young children (under the age of 3), Cassie Miller was diagnosed with incurable neuroendocrine cancer. Today, she says she feels healthier, happier and more alive than she did before her diagnosis. Now a speaker and advocate, Cassie is on a mission to help people get off the hamster wheel of chronic stress and burnout and move from autopilot to truly ALIVE—before it takes a life-changing diagnosis to wake them up. In this powerful conversation, Cassie shares how she embraces what she calls medicine AND magic. Medicine is the doctors, treatment and science supporting her body. Magic is the harder-to-explain stuff: spirituality, intuition, awe, connection to the divine and trusting in something bigger than ourselves. She talks about the book: The Awakened Brain by Dr. Lisa Miller that opened her eyes to the Neuroscience of Spirituality. Can we heal even when we can't be cured? This isn't about choosing spirituality over modern medicine. It's about what becomes possible when we make room for both. | *BONUS*Wrong Man, Right Country - Personal Essay | 21 août 2026 | 00:14:45
What if your intuition was right… just not in the way you thought? I recently submitted a personal essay, The Wrong Man, The Right Country, to an anthology exploring intuition, inevitability and the strange clarity of knowing — and I wanted to share the audio version with you here. At 20 years old, after spending just 10 days in Australia, I knew with absolute certainty: I’m going to live here one day. What I didn't know was the heartbreak, loss, wrong turns and one very wrong man it would take to eventually get me here. This is a story about learning that intuition isn't always a map. Sometimes, it's a compass. Sometimes you can be completely wrong about the destination… and still be heading in exactly the right direction. ✨ CONNECT WITH ME 🌿 Website: https://www.katiedelimon.com
| 53. Speed Up by Slowing Down: Why Rushing Is Actually Slowing You Down | 15 août 2026 | 00:19:03 | |
What if the reason you’re not moving forward isn’t that you need to work harder — but because you need to slow down? We live in a world that glorifies urgency, productivity and doing it all. But constantly rushing can leave us reactive, overwhelmed and disconnected from what we actually want. In this short episode, I share why slowing down has helped me accomplish more, not less — from the way I walk, drive and do everyday chores to the way I communicate, make decisions and build my business. We’ll explore why slowing down isn’t about doing less — it’s about becoming more present and intentional with what you’re already doing. Plus, I’ll give you a simple (and intentionally uncomfortable) challenge to try this week. And if you want to build real inner confidence, this is exactly what we practise inside Confident by Christmas: 90 Days to Inner Self-Confidence — building capacity first, then clarity, then consistency. We've all said it... "I got through it." The divorce. But what if getting through isn't the same as healing? In this episode, I share one of the biggest mindset shifts that's transformed my life: the difference between surviving a difficult experience and regulating through it. I open up about how I consciously regulated through my husband's stroke, discovering at 38 that the man who raised me wasn't my biological father, and why slowing down, asking for help, resting, and staying connected changed everything. If you've ever wondered why you're still anxious, exhausted, reactive, or feel like your body never "moved on" from something that happened years ago, this episode is for you. In this episode, you'll learn: ✨ The difference between getting through and regulating through ✨ Why your nervous system needs to know the danger has passed ✨ How chronic stress keeps your body stuck in survival mode ✨ Practical ways to regulate through life's hardest moments without abandoning yourself Confidence isn't built by surviving hard things. I also share how I returned to the gym after avoiding it for seven years—not by pushing harder or creating an overwhelming plan, but by making one small promise to myself and keeping it for an entire year. 💪 🎧 IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL DISCOVER: 🧠 Why you can feel anxious, restless and overwhelmed—but still do nothing You’re not lazy. | 50. The BIGGEST Misconception About Nervous System Regulation | 14 août 2026 | 00:19:16
What if regulating your nervous system isn’t about feeling safe and calm all the time? In this episode I’m breaking down one of the biggest misconceptions I see in the nervous system and healing space: Safety and capacity are not the same thing. If every time anxiety, discomfort or conflict shows up you leave, avoid, distract yourself or shut down, your nervous system may never get the opportunity to learn that discomfort doesn’t always mean danger. Real nervous system regulation isn’t about eliminating discomfort. It’s about gently building your capacity to stay present with it — when you are actually safe. In this episode, we talk about: ✨ Why feeling “safe” isn’t always the same as being regulated Because your goal isn’t to never feel uncomfortable. Your goal is to build the capacity to stay present through discomfort without abandoning yourself. | 49. Family Estrangement: When Walking Away Is the Healthiest Choice, with Author Cari Fund | 25 juil. 2026 | 00:43:14
Family estrangement is one of the most misunderstood experiences someone can go through. Society tells us that family is everything, that forgiveness is always the answer, and that blood should come before boundaries. But what happens when the relationship itself is causing harm? In this deeply honest conversation, I sit down with author and cycle breaker Cari Fund to talk about the reality of family estrangement, grieving people who are still alive, breaking generational patterns, and learning to choose yourself without carrying a lifetime of guilt. We also explore my own experience of family estrangement from a different perspective. I was separated from my biological father by a family secret that wasn't mine to choose. Together, we unpack how silence, secrets and unresolved pain shape generations—and what healing can look like on the other side. Who are the five people you spend the most time with? It could be:
In this solo episode, I share one of my favourite exercises that I learned from neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart—the People Tree Exercise. Here's how it works: Write down the five people you spend the most time with in life right now. Not who you are "closest" to Then, honestly list five qualities that come to mind for each one. Not the qualities you wish they had... The qualities you experience most often. Supportive. This exercise isn't about blaming the people around you. It's about becoming aware of the environment you're immersed in every single day—and asking yourself whether it's helping you become the person you want to be. Sometimes the biggest shift in your confidence, mindset and nervous system isn't changing yourself. It's changing what—and who—you repeatedly expose yourself to. | 47. How She Stayed Standing When Life Kept Knocking Her Down, with Somatic Coach, Sinéad Quinn | 11 juil. 2026 | 00:59:17
What do you do when life just won't let up? In this powerful conversation, I sit down with breathwork facilitator, somatic coach, and Spinal Energetics practitioner Sinéad Quinn to explore what resilience really looks like—not the kind that pushes through at all costs, but the kind that gently brings you back to yourself. Sinéad's story is one of profound adversity. She shares her experience of becoming a mother to a son with Down syndrome, welcoming a second baby almost 12 weeks prematurely, navigating her husband's vaccine injury, losing her mother, and facing seasons of uncertainty that would leave many feeling completely overwhelmed. Yet through it all, she didn't find healing in a magic pill or a quick fix. She found it in the simple things. Her breath. Gentle movement. Meditation. Learning to regulate her nervous system instead of constantly overriding it. Healing isn't always glamorous. It isn't always exciting. More often than not, it's simple. Repetitive. Sometimes even a little boring. But simple doesn't mean easy. And simple doesn't mean it isn't life-changing. If you've been searching for the next breakthrough, this episode is a beautiful reminder that the most powerful tools are often the ones we already carry with us.
Whether you're navigating grief, chronic stress, trauma, burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, this conversation offers hope, practical tools, and a gentle reminder that healing doesn't have to be complicated to be effective. 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sineadquinnofficial/ 🌐 Website: https://www.sineadquinn.com/ 📸 Instagram: https://instagram.com/katiedelimon 📘 Get my book Trust the Flames: https://www.katiedelimon.com/trust-the-flames 💛 Inner Self Confidence Program: 📅 Book a free strategy call: 🧘 Nervous System Reboot (Self-Paced Program):

Today marks a special milestone—this podcast turns one year old. ❤️ In many ways, this podcast has become one of my babies. My book, my business, this community... they are all things I've intentionally created and deeply nurtured. So it felt fitting to finally record an episode I've wanted to make for a very long time. Why I'm childfree by choice. This isn't an episode about convincing anyone not to have children, nor is it about saying one path is better than another. It's about honesty. Do you actually regret speaking up... or do you regret what happened after? For years, I believed speaking up made my life worse. I lost friendships, created conflict, and even spent months not speaking to my mother after a confrontation weeks before she was diagnosed with cancer. In this episode, I share the powerful realization that changed everything: Speaking up wasn't the problem. It was revealing the problem. We explore why honesty can cost us approval, certainty, and the illusion that a relationship is healthier than it actually is. We also dive into emotional maturity, people-pleasing, boundaries, and why true confidence isn't getting everyone to agree with you—it's trusting yourself enough to speak anyway. | 34. Stop Blaming Your Parents, Partner & Perimenopause | 18 mars 2026 | 00:22:06
This might be a controversial episode, but everything I do is deeply rooted in compassion. This episode is no different. We need to talk about something nobody in the wellness space is saying out loud. We have more licensed psychologists than ever before in history. More therapy apps, more mental health awareness, more diagnoses, more labels, more validation than any generation before us. And yet we have more depressed, anxious, stressed and medicated humans than ever. So is validation alone actually healing us? In this episode, I'm talking about: 🔥 Why we've swung too far from suppression into a validation trap that's keeping women stuck Your diagnosis is not your destiny. Your past informs you, it doesn't define you. You are a human with an extraordinary capacity to heal — and all it takes is the courage to do the uncomfortable work. In this powerful conversation, Katie sits down with poet Alicia Cook, bestselling author of Stuff I've Been Feeling Lately and the viral poem Sorry I Haven't Texted You Back, to unpack why so many women go silent when life gets overwhelming. | 31. What We Don't Speak, We Store | 23 févr. 2026 | 00:35:35
What We Don't Speak, We Store In this powerful episode, Katie Delimon reveals the profound truth that silence doesn't protect us—it destroys us from the inside out. Born out of infidelity and kept a secret for 38 years, Katie shares her deeply personal journey of discovering her biological father's identity and the generational trauma of emotional suppression that nearly cost her everything. From her mother's battle with ovarian cancer to her own struggles with IBS, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and toxic relationships, Katie unpacks the science behind what happens when we swallow our truth. Studies show that emotional suppression increases cancer risk by 70% and that women who silence themselves in conflict are 4x more likely to die. This isn't just about one family's secrets—it's about a culture that rewards women for staying quiet. Katie also addresses the uncomfortable silence in the wellness industry around the Epstein files and Deepak Chopra's involvement. If you've ever felt a knot in your stomach from words you've never spoken, this episode will give you permission to finally speak up—even when your voice shakes. Katie is delivering 5 keynotes in March on this topic, including speaking at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Brisbane and Sydney.

Self-love gets all the hype. Bubble baths. Affirmations. “Accept yourself as you are.” But what if self-love is keeping you stuck? In this bold Valentine’s Day episode, Katie breaks down the uncomfortable truth: loving yourself isn’t enough. You can love yourself and still tolerate disrespect. You can love yourself and still abandon your goals. You can love yourself and still poison your body, overgive in relationships, and betray your own standards. Self-respect is different. Self-respect asks:
Katie shares raw personal stories from her 20s — functional alcoholism, toxic relationships, chronic anxiety — and the turning point where she realized she didn’t lack self-love… she lacked self-respect. She also breaks down: If you’ve ever said “I love myself” while still tolerating less than you deserve — this episode will hit. This isn’t about being harder on yourself. The Father Wound isn’t just about your relationship with your dad — it’s about how you learned to navigate the world. In this deeply personal episode, I share a truth I only discovered later in life: the man who raised me is not my biological father. From that revelation, we explore what the Father Wound really is, how it forms, and how it quietly shapes your career, money patterns, relationships, boundaries, and sense of safety. An unhealed Father Wound can show up as overworking, self-sabotage, fear of authority, imposter syndrome, emotionally unavailable partners, difficulty asking for help, or feeling like you don’t truly belong (especially in professional spaces) — even when you “should” feel confident. This episode isn’t about blaming parents. It’s about awareness, responsibility, grief, and healing. We talk about re-parenting yourself, rewriting internal narratives, and choosing differently — even when familiar patterns feel like home. Together, we explore why so many women don’t realise they’re struggling until they hit a wall — and why mindset and willpower eventually stop working. We talk about grief, loss, and the “strong one” identity, how unprocessed emotions live in the nervous system, and why slowing down can feel unsafe even when the body is desperate for rest. This episode reframes what a true breakthrough actually is — and why healing isn’t about doing more, fixing yourself, or pushing harder, but about learning how to feel safe in your body again. Most holiday boundary advice tells you how to manage other people — but the real work starts within. True boundaries aren’t about doing less or avoiding conflict; they’re about doing things differently and choosing the version of you who shows up. We dive into the internal habits that drain your energy long before the family gatherings even begin: saying yes out of obligation, lowering your standards for temporary peace, abandoning your needs to “keep the vibe,” and expecting others to change while you stay the same. When you shift your internal boundaries, your external world shifts with you.
