In today’s episode, we talk to Lindsay Lanzillotta, producer, now head of The Film Arcade Carousel which is a boutique distributor supporting independent filmmakers and Natalie Whalen is Director of Acquisitions and Production at Cold Iron Pictures and The Film Arcade.

The Film Arcade Carousel is a boutique aggregator for small-budget indie films under the $2 million range and acts as a one-stop-shop to handle distribution, marketing, and advertising for these films that will release via digital platforms. Additionally, the company will focus on under-represented filmmakers, artists, and stories and will work directly with filmmakers to provide and service different distribution/marketing packages based on the filmmaker’s needs and budget.

This unique model will give filmmakers access to a platform for their films to be seen in the marketplace and in some cases if desired, a small theatrical run. Today, we are excited to share our interview with the lovely star of ABC's Big Sky, Dedee Pfeiffer. We spoke with her while she was off-set during the filming of the rest of the series and as tempted as we were to ask her about some spoilers, we did get some insight into her character, her environment shooting the series in Vancouver, and how she's enjoying being on set. 

Dedee plays Denise Brisbane who works for the detective agency and has her pulse on the community, coming up with tips, insights, and OMGee comments said out loud that we all are thinking. 

More about Dedee Pfeiffer... in addition to her amazing film and TV credits, she has been hard at work during her recent time away from Hollywood earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Pierce College, Valley College, and California State University Northridge. It was at UCLA where she earned a Master of Social Work. Her area of concentration includes mental illness, substance abuse, and homelessness.
