Dr. Raleigh Duncan founded Sauna Works in his garage in 1996 after seeing firsthand the healing benefits found from using an infrared sauna. He believed that there was tremendous business potential for this unique product long before most people had heard of an infrared sauna.

My Recent Transformative Trips & Exciting New Projects – You Won't Want to Miss This01 Oct 202400:23:38

I’m coming to you today with an update on what's been happening in my world lately.

Over the past few months, I've been taking a step back to assess my projects and goals. So, I've intentionally set aside September to take a break from work and the day-to-day hustle, getting a little quiet with myself, and thinking about what I want to achieve with the Homes That Heal podcast.

September turned out to be all about travel, family, and discovery. It was absolutely amazing, 

First off, Mom and I took a fabulous annual mother-daughter trip up to Bayfield, Wisconsin. Our special getaway is filled with relaxation, reminiscing, and rejuvenation.  

Second, Mark and I went to West Palm Beach, Florida. We attended an event hosted by our amazing coaches Bob Burg, Kim Angeli, and Jeff West. More than an event, it’s an experience. It was all about connecting, sharing, living in gratitude, and creating a sense of support.

Secrets to Wellness: Megan Zechel’s Journey From Autoimmune Challenges to Vibrant Health17 Sep 202400:54:28

Those are the words of my friend Megan Zechel, who is sharing her family's health journey in this episode.

Through this process, the whole family made significant lifestyle changes to detoxify their home and diet. Megan's husband also faced health challenges, including ulcerative colitis. Again, Megan refused to settle for conventional treatments and explored a more holistic approach, incorporating music therapy, plant medicine, and emotional healing work. Originally from Turkey, Mine Ekenler came to the U.S. in 1996 for graduate studies, earning a master’s in microbiology and a PhD in Biochemistry from Iowa State University. During her time there, she met her husband, Roger. They both joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison—Mine as a scientist in Environmental Toxicology and Roger as a professor.

Biography:
Dr. Dickson Thom has been practicing medicine for over 50 years and has lectured extensively for over 40 years throughout the world.

He received his first Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in Canada in 1986. In 1989, he completed a second degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He served as Dean of Naturopathic Medicine at NCNM and taught there full-time as a professor for more than 25 years.

In 2009, he received the prestigious honor from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, called the Vís Award, for his commitment to the healing power of nature through his work, life, and community service.

He is the author of several books, most recently, the book called Begin Again: Trauma, Disease, and Healing with the Brain Protocol and Biological Medicine. He believes health is a reflection of physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic balance.
