Since the most important relationship in our lives is the one we have with ourselves, for about the next year, we’re focusing on Self-Love.  This week we’re starting to work on self-care.

Today, I’m going to talk about how powerful creating a morning routine can be and what you can do to release “feel-good” hormones and decrease your depression. Of course, this includes eating a healthy breakfast. If you’re pressed for time, start out by making your routine a short one. Other than breakfast, take a few minutes for each of the 4 other parts I suggest, and you’ll set the tone for your day while nurturing the wellness of your mind, body, and spirit.

Regardless of your spiritual belief, you can create your own MORNING LOVE MANTRA or MORNING LOVE MEDITATION from anything.  You can use a poem, a song, or just one or two words like in CENTERING PRAYER that I showed you how to do in podcast 18.

You can also create one from one or more sentences from your Holy Book, or even a cool bumper sticker you saw.  Listen to a my original one paragraph version and my current one for ideas it might spark for how to do your own.

After finishing last week’s podcast episode: “Looking and Listening for Love,” that is God’s love, I realized a lot of you out there are struggling with post-traumatic stress like I did for decades.  That’s why today, after we meditate on my poem, “My Divine, Sacred Self,”  I want to talk about calming the storm inside you.  By that I mean calming your nervous system.
