What is in our Food Supply? Toxic Levels of Glyphosate, Pesticides, and Even Gluten Found in Gluten-Free Products03 Jul 202400:29:11

Send us a text

I had a great conversation with Zen Honeycutt from Moms Across America about their on-going campaign to fix our food supply.

  • Moms Across America has long been working to ban glyphosate from being sprayed on our food and animal feed crops, especially as a drying agent on grain crops. Studies have shown a very close correlation between the increase of Celiac disease and the increase of glyphosate on crops. Unfortunately, we have discovered that the foods people are eating to avoid gluten often have glyphosate in them—the very same chemical that likely caused their condition in the first place.
  • Moms Across America, a national educational nonprofit dedicated to empowering mothers and others to create healthy families and communities, commissioned testing for glyphosate/AMPA, 236 pesticides, gluten, and mineral content in 46 samples of organic and non-organic gluten-free food products including bread, pasta, crackers, snacks, flour, dessert mixes, and chips.
  • You may be surprised at their findings. Learn more at www.momsacrossamerica.org

Zen Honeycutt is the Founding Executive Director of the non-profit, Moms Across America, a National Coalition of Unstoppable Moms with the motto "Empowered Moms, Healthy Kids." Moms Across America’s leaders created over 1,000 community events in all 50 states to raise awareness about GMOs, toxins in the food supply, and other environmental issues that pose risk to the health of our families. The organization’s mission is to educate and empower mothers and others with actions and solutions to create healthy communities.

Raising the Alarm: Contaminants in Girl Scout Cookies Signal Bigger Food Safety Issues10 Mar 202500:27:18

Send us a text

I had a great conversation with Dr. Michelle Perro about the New MDS (Moms, Doctors, Scientists) who have initiated an extensive Food Testing Program to test for a variety of toxins in America's foods.  Their most recent testing has uncovered alarming levels of toxins in Girl Scout cookies.

Unfortunately, the testing results for the cookies indicate alarming levels of known neurotoxins and carcinogens and The New MDS are pressing regulators and companies for nontoxic and nutrient-dense foods.

Concerned by the epidemic of chronic disease in our children today, and inspired to take action by their own formative years as Girl Scouts, consumer advocates pediatrician Dr. Michelle Perro, MIT Sr. Research Scientist Dr. Stephanie Seneff, and Moms Across America founding Exec. Dir. Zen Honeycutt have taken the initiative to commission testing for contaminants in our commercial food- in our children's food, particularly. Together, their organizations, GMOScience and Moms Across America, have tested everything from school lunches, fast food, baby food, infant formula, and gluten-free products. Results have been alarming across the board.

Today, their coalition, The New MDS (Moms, Doctors, Scientists) has released the results of testing of Girl Scout cookies for toxic metals and glyphosate/AMPA (an herbicide and its byproduct).

The levels of toxicants found in America's favorite cookies are disturbingly high. More importantly, they are a clear measure of the toxic substances that are contaminating the majority of our food supply through unsafe farming practices or during processing and a call to action for the Girl Scouts to be part of the solution.

Michelle Perro, MD, DHom, CEO and founder, of the non-profit GMOScience.org.
