Season 1 · Episode 4
samedi 22 mars 2025 • Duration 44:37
In this episode, We chat with Milly Fyfe® ARAgS, an award-winning digital marketing, PR, events, and fundraising specialist, who is at the forefront of promoting British food and farming. Milly is an anchor woman within mainstream media and online, and her work bridges the gap between consumers and the farm-to-fork movement.
Milly shares insights into her new community interest company, No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC, where she is helping busy parents connect with locally produced food and discover delicious recipe ideas. Farming in Northamptonshire with her husband and two young children, Milly's farm consists of beef suckler cows, sheep, rare breed pigs, chickens, and a kitchen garden. Alongside her farming lifestyle, she hosts the Countryside Kitchen Meets podcast and presents a food and farming show on N Live Radio.
Milly has garnered many accolades, including being named Northamptonshire Business Person of the Year 23/34, a top 100 UK female entrepreneur through Small Business Britain, and the youngest female to receive an associateship from the Royal Agricultural Societies. Looking back to look forward with Polly Gibb OBE

We are over the moon to welcome today’s guest, Polly Gibb OBE! As director of WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) at Harper Adams University Polly has worked with female led rural micro-businesses for 20 years. WiRE developed a national network of volunteer-led local business groups which are particularly appropriate for female-led businesses in enabling both skills development and transformational support. Previously she worked for environmental charities in the UK and abroad and now focuses on enterprise as a driver of positive environmental and social impact. In 201 she was awarded an OBE for services to the rural economy and named one of the now King Charles top ten heroes of the countryside.
Olivia Shave - Eco Ewe -
Season 1 · Episode 5
samedi 29 mars 2025 • Duration 37:12
Olivia Shave is a first-generation farmer and the CEO of Ecoewe, a family-run, award-winning farming business that’s built on the principles of sustainability, innovation, and circular economies.
As an award-winning producer, including being a national finalist in the Countryside Alliance Awards and the recipient of the Sustainability Champion of the Year award at the National Women in Agriculture Awards in May last year, she is deeply committed to changing the future of farming.
In addition to running Ecoewe, she is a freelance journalist for Farming Monthly, a sustainability consultant, and has spent the last year working as the Screenings Coordinator for the documentary Six Inches of Soil—a project focused on raising awareness of soil health and its connection to sustainable farming.
Before all this, she was a teacher, and that’s where her passion for education and advocacy began. She understands the transformative power of knowledge—both for individuals and for entire industries.
This belief drives her petition for the UK to embed food, farming, and sustainability into the national curriculum.
The next generation of farmers and food producers needs to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to navigate a rapidly changing world. It’s time to ensure that food education, sustainability, and the value of farming are taught in schools—not just for the health of our children but for the future of agriculture in the UK.
She is calling on policymakers to act now and make food education a core part of our curriculum. Together, we can secure a sustainable future for farming and create new opportunities for young people to thrive in this vital industry.
Please join me in supporting this campaign. Sign the petition and help us raise the next generation of farmers, innovators, and sustainability leaders.

Hair & Beauty Industry Episode
Season 1 · Episode 7
mardi 22 avril 2025 • Duration 35:06
Today, we are focusing on the rural hair and beauty industry. Jennifer and I have been in this sector for many years, Jennifer with her training school and events supplying therapists to festivals, glamping sites and holiday homes and Carrie with her rural hair and beauty salon. We are delighted to be joined today by Ruth Rowberry, a colour analyst and makeup artist based in rural Herefordshire. She is a mum of two and married to a farmer. She has converted a shepherd's hut into a makeup studio. Not many people expect to come to a shepherds hut in the middle of nowhere to have a service done, but it really is a little haven overlooked only by the cows, chickens and an odd pig! We also have with us Becky Seal who has a hair and beauty salon in rural Herefordshire based at a boutique shopping village. She hosts a wide range of therapists and specialises in cruelty-free products, and in addition, she works as a hair and make up artist at high-end fashion shows such as London Fashion Week and with brides.
