EP#09: Nourishing the Microbiome with Lorene Sauro

Season 1

lundi 11 juillet 2022Duration 53:05

Feeding Families is a part of the EcoParent Podcast Network: https://www.ecoparent.ca/podcasts

This episode was generously sponsored by the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition: https://csnn.ca

About the Episode:

There is now robust research on how microbes impact our health and wellbeing. But as research has exploded, so has confusion about what to actually do. Do we need probiotics? Certain food? Does it really matter all that much? What should we do after antibiotics? Lorene breaks down what every parent needs to know about their child’s microbiome including some of the most recent research on why it’s so important, and simple ways you can support its health. You’ll be delighted at how she simplifies such a complicated topic!

Guest Bio:

Lorene Sauro has been a holistic nutrition professional for 22 years and a food professional for 30 years. She is a food developer, acclaimed speaker, and published author. Frustrated by the lack of common sense when it comes to the discussion of food and health, Lorne works to help the public find the food and health solutions that are right for them, and also provides support to professionals to help them have more answers for their clients.
She founded the Functional Microbiome Program, the Functional Hormone Balance Program, and the Inspired Learning Hub - a webinar series for practitioners that provide them with the latest research about food and the wellness industry.
She is the co-founder of the Canadian Holistic Nutrition Conference and the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro), and she has helped hundreds of holistic nutrition students and graduates with their educational and professional needs. In 2017 Lorene received the CSNNAA Lifetime Achievement award for her work in the industry.
