This episode is really just me reflecting on how hard self-love actually isānot the surface-level, performative kind, but the real stuff. The kind that asks you to sit with your emotions, hold boundaries, stop performing for love, and give yourself the care youāve been begging others for.
I talk about how my self-love journey first started at 20, after walking through a lot of lossādivorce, leaving the religion I was raised in, and realizing how little I truly knew myself. That season cracked me open, and itās what led me to therapy, healing, and figuring out who I was outside of what I was told to be.
Now, six years later, at 26, Iām still learning what it means to practice self-love in a deeper, more grounded way. Iām noticing how easy it is to slowly slip back into old patterns, to abandon myself in small ways, and how important it is to come backāagain and again.
This isnāt a āhow-toā episode. Itās an honest conversation about whatās worked for me, what hasnāt, and how Iām trying to do it better now. We talk about self-trust, emotional safety, giving yourself what your parents never could, and what it actually means to honor your capacity and needsāeven when itās uncomfortable.
Whether youāre just starting your healing or youāve been on this path for a while, I hope this episode makes you feel seen, and maybe helps you come back home to yourself a little.
