This week the F words crew talks about Time Magazine's 100 most influential people. 

Recently Instagram started experimenting with a new feature where your followers wouldn't see how many likes you get on your posts. Instagram said "we want your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get." There are some people, like Anthony, who don't think about how many likes they get, so they wouldn't care about this change.  On the flip side, the entire Influencer industry is built on people seeing how many likes they get. Is age just a number?

According to data from OK Cupid the average ages that men and women are attracted to are quite different. The study shows that women are more attracted to men the same age, where men are more attracted to women significantly younger. On this episode we discuss whether or not we think this is accurate…Anthony certainly doesn't think so.  Natasha and Taylor also both open about relationships that they've been in where there's been a big age gap. With Valentine's Day coming up, we're getting extra romantic on this episode of The F Words with a spirited debate (ahem…Natasha and Anthony) about binge-watching! Over the past month the #10YearChallenge has taken the internet by storm with everyone from your friends, to celebrities, and even world leaders jumping on the bandwagon (except for Anthony of course), but do you ever think twice before posting?  Tech writer Kate O'Neill raised some alarm bells recently suggesting the challenge was a way for companies to collect data for facial recognition algorithms.  Popsugar's popular twinning app that went viral during the holidays was reportedly collecting everyone's photos. Sharing something fun on social media isn't something we'd normally think too much about…but maybe it should be.

It's officially 2019 and with the holidays wrapping up it's time to get back to reality…including paying off those bills and figuring out how to save for the year ahead.  A new survey put out by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada says that Canadians have mixed feelings about their financial situation in 2019.  41% of people surveyed said their financial situation will improve over the next year, while 45% think it will remain unchanged and 11% say things will get worse for them. This week on the podcast we welcome Doretta Thompson, Director of Corporate Citizenship for CPA Canada who breaks down this survey and offers tips and advice.
