Episode 103 - It's Xmas time but not the one you are expecting! Mark, Dave, Richard and Rob are back together on the couch warding off the winter chills by talking Doctor Who! That meddlesome Master is the focus of our Target book club and we are completely bemused by some of the more umm ‘interesting’ turns of phrase from two director's turned authors and crack open our new (and undamaged) Season 22 box sets and discuss the new documentaries, the season as a whole and is there anything else left to say about this turbulent era of the programme?

Episode 16 - In this very special episode of the 42 to Doomsday podcast, Rob and Mark are joined by guest JR Southall, columnist and podcaster extraordinaire. Episode 10 - In what seems like the Doctor Who podcasting world's equivalent of the Wilderness years, Mark and Rob have reunited where they break their own first law of time and actually review / gorge themselves silly on the 50th Anniversary smorgasbord and have a few obligatory pot shots at the English Cricket team!

Episode 9: With Mark on missing episode standby in the UK, Rob takes up the reins and flies solo, mixing his metaphors while talking about The Night of the Doctor, nostalgia and Doctor Who, engages in a quick Q & A before finishing with a salute to the show and its fans.

Episode 8 - To commemorate the Skylanders phenomenon, Mark and Rob also mix and match to see what Classic Who stories they think would translate well if remade using Nu Who Doctors and the modern series template. An interesting footnote to this is that J-N-T did actually sell his memoirs to the Cardiff Pravda (a.k.a Doctor Who Magazine) after this ‘review’ was published! 42 TO DOOMSDAY WILL RETURN IN 2022!!

Episode 96 - We are back (delayed slightly more than anticipated) with our latest podcast where we debut our new ‘Fake Views’ segment where our ‘lovely’ listeners put forward scenarios that they know we are absolutely diametrically opposed to, forcing us to surrender all our morals and values to argue in the affirmative! Episode 110 - Everyone in fandom remembers the bombshell news late in 2022 heard exclusively in episode 106 – Unleash the Hoard(ers)! of the 42 to Doomsday podcast, announcing the discovery of a hoard of audio-visual material recorded off domestic television in Australia dating back to the early 1970s.    We promised you, our loyal listeners, that we would keep you up to date with any new information as it came to hand.  Well, we come through with our promise big time by bringing you an exclusive interview with Professor Jason Bainbridge, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, the man responsible for taking on this vast collection and integrating it into the media studies course at the University of Canberra.    Listen as Professor Bainbridge discusses his history with the show, the role popular culture plays in our present day lives, the state of the Australian television and film industries, before he moves on to discuss the vast scope of the collection, what he hopes to achieve with it academically, and his hopes for what might be waiting to be brought blinking into the light of day.

Episode 83 - The Onmi-Tw*ts (C-PM) are back and have broken out of isolation to bring you a brand new episode! We set the Wayback Machine and drag ourselves through the archives to mid-1990 where Guru Josh ruled the charts and not one, but two actual real life and not made up production companies were interested in making the programme (even if the BBC were not). Listen as we marvel at how BBC Video and W H Allen schedules were filled to the brim to plug the Doctor Who-shaped hole in our lives. And finally, which companion was described by that august publication The Sun as 'curvy'? Episode 82 - Praise God not only for delivering a Son unto the World, but also the latest Christmas episode of the 42 to Doomsday podcast! The Grinch's (a.k.a) Rob and Mark along with Dave and Richard are back to help you celebrate the season of good (s)will with the right amount of cheer! We talk about the impact of the Chibnall/Whitaker era, one year on, what do we consider the best series of the classic era, take a look back at the Virgin and BBC books Uncle Terrance wrote during the 1990s, pump up our 2019 Fanwank of the Year Awards, read your letters and tweets and then punch 2019 in the proverbial on the way out. Gasp as Rob almost bursts an artery during the intro, dine out on Dave's erudite take down of The Space Museum, ponder Richard's love for the Hinchcliffe era before finally revealing has Mark watched anything anything of Series 11 past Rosa? Episode 81 – Compared to the 50th Anniversary torrent of Doctor Who merchandising, the stores and shelves today seem bereft of product. Rob and Mark ventured into Melbourne’s northern suburbs to meet Aron from Lobos Collectibles and 42 to Doomsday regular (and co-host of Space Fall – A Blake’s 7 podcast) Richard where we discussed the current state of Doctor Who merchandising from both a retailer and collector’s perspective. We dive deep into why some people are disposing their collections, what manufacturers are saying about the current state of the programme and what drastic action is needed (if any) to reignite the flame in the collecting world. All this plus: Listen as we lament the items that got away! Or as, like a dog returning to eat its own vomit, Rob (inevitably!) brings the conversation back to missing episodes and whether any passed through Melbourne dealer’s hands!

Episode 80 – The hiatus is over and Rob and Mark are back with a brand new episode! Aside from answering, ‘Why are we back?’ we also discuss the classic series blu-ray range, Rob’s latest fictional adventure and we give our own tribute to one of the most influential figures in Doctor Who - Terrance Dicks. Rob and friend of the show David Kitchen then take an in-depth journey through how religion and faith have been portrayed over the course of the programme in both its classic and new incarnations before Rob and Mark answer that deep theological conundrum, what does the future hold for this podcast?!

Episode 79 - The Four Horsemen of the Podcopalypse have returned! Join Rob, Mark, Dave and Richard as we celebrate 2018 with laughs, tears, bitter recriminations and then joyful reconciliation! Gasp as we summarise the first (and potentially last?) full Jodie Whitaker season of Doctor Who and then we go old school chatting about why doesn't fandom feel the love we think Terry Nation deserves. We dig through the entrails of early 1990's DWBs delusions, plus listeners feedback where we take down the whole Patreon Industrial-Military complex in a no hold's barred suicide run and then wax poetic as we sink slowly into the sunset!
